During my stay in Japan, I was fortunate to meet K Oba San. He is a real life Tokyo Loop Runner and I got to experience it for a night. K Oba San took me for a run in his 500hp R32 GTR built by MCR. MCR is also a famous shop known for some of the fastest loop cars in Japan.

The respect and humility the Japanese culture carries never ceases to amaze.. was extremely kind, put his seat-belt on for him and even gently held his hand behind his head so he didn't bump it on the way in due to the car being so low.
These ppl hold respect in a very high-regard and value it so much more than almost any other nation ive seen consistently.

Very cool Dustin. I’m so glad you had such a great (and indeed epic) time. This experience in particular strikes a cord with me as I wore out several copies of “Tokyo Xtreme Racer” back in the PS2 days, which I attribute heavily to my lasting love of JDM auto culture. To see it live in the real is something indeed. I did want to point out FYI that while I of course know that you mean no disrespect at all, responding with “Hai hai hai hai” many times in quick succession can be perceived as rude for Japanese people, (as it can be an indication that you want to rush the conversation). I once made the same mistake while in Japan and was quickly corrected by my wife, who is Japanese. Most people in Japan are very kind and will never say anything about it to you, but I thought you would want to know for the future. But anyway, thanks for the great footage. Congratulations and keep up the good work.

Firstly, great vid. R32 and 33 always hold a special place in me heart. Secondly, the actual run was noting short of spectacular ; got vibes of how racers in 80's, 90's and 00's must have ran the same loop. Thirdly, car itself is an amazing build. Finally, if I lived in Japan I would break my neck in 20 mins flat by counting all the GTRs.
