What an amazing end to our first trip to Japan of the year. I take you guys along for a was at Shogun Autosport, then for an incredible night at Daikoku. We get some konbini dinner, see some insane cars, and go on a night cruise on the wangan in Tokyo! absolutely amazing!

Although it is originally a rest facility for drivers, did you know that the large number of tourists without cars trespassing and gathering here to take pictures makes it difficult to use the facility as it should be, and the area is sealed off late at night and the police are mobilized in force.
If you try to photograph a modified Japanese car, you may be arrested in the worst case. At the very least, you will lose your means of getting home and will have no choice but to consult the police.😊

@@kao-x8c very aware of this - I'm Japanese. I always recommend to come via rented car/or if you have a car in Japan that you can legally drive in order to pay tolls and legally enter/exit the PA.

I think your Japan vlogs are one of the best out here on youtube as well. Your very mature, respectful to the culture when your out there and you even take time to learn the language. One of the ones that I can actually watch from beginning to the end. The 30 minute vids are the best and Masa calling you Dut makes it even better lolz.. Duuuude, you know what'd be cool,? If you did an interview with Masa, where did his interest start? Whats his favourite JDM story, favourite Cars. He cameos in Albo and your videos, and really adds the tech info, history etc.

@@tear728 he does but I'd like to see someone who understands mechanics etc like Dustin to probe him properly. Masa's channel I'm subscribed to ( youtube.com/@masalovescars4180 ). Its more of a vlog than an info channel. When Masa is prompted like we see here at the Workshop, a floodgate opens and all this knowledge comes out lol. In anothet video, I think of Albo's, they see an old Subaru. Albo says "what is that?" prompting 5 mins of Masa explaining the Industiral/ business side of things then goes straight into the differences on the Car compared to the standard type (...something like that). Myself with History I'm similar. I won't talk about it, but if you ask, you better have a cup of tea and sit down, this will take a while.

I still wish Orido-san never sold the GT wing that was on his Supra. It absolutely made that car, and it cannot be replaced... (He had an offer he couldn't refuse if I recall, so sold it)

hey about the hood, its not a dry carbon, its infused! dry carbon was not avaliable when this was manufactured! a good way to protect it is as albo said, light sand and some uv protection via clear coat! you can paint it aftwards, but first do a clear coat layer, because if some day you decide you want the carbon fiber look again it will be there underneath the clear coat. you can sand down the paint and expose the carbon again in safety.
Pocari sweat is soooooo good. So excited to have it again next time i'm there. Do you have any reccomendations for where I can grab small JDM accessories for VA WRX? (Inspired from when you got parts for the Civic :) )

I agree with Albo, painting the hood but leaving fins/bump out dry carbon would be sick! Why not try wrapping it first to see if you like it or not before going all in on paint?

Just wrap the hood with PPF, then you won’t contradict what it is you’ll protect it from UV and yellowing and chipping.
Don’t paint it, and don’t clear it. All of that is fairly permanent. Have shogun wrap it with clear ppf 👍🏻
Get the hood PPF (paint protection film) on it! There’s a matte PPF that will keep it the dry look!

I spent a lot of time with Takumi on my trip this year. I barely fit in his FD but it was such a fun ride! He's such a nice guy! Takumi really likes you and it makes me happy see you guys hanging out together!

About the dry carbon hood, you can use clear PPF if you just want to protect it. You can still undo it if you don't like the result

After you had your headlights buffed you should install a clear film like laminX, that way they'll never yellow out again. the clear film also protects the headlight lenses. It's how I've revived and protected my headlights for years with 100% positive results.You are welcome.

Dut are you down to bring this kind of energy here to the US man? Like these Japanese vlogs are so freaking good. The history, day in the life, culture, respect, etc. I feel like I've been there many times, by watching your vlogs haha(I haven't even been once!) And every time you post, it inspires me with what I want to do within the car community.
I truly want us to have some sort of movement here that is similar to that in Japan, and will start working towards that while i'm in Dallas TX. We'll meet up some day and talk about this stuff, hopefully haha.
