A few years ago my mom sent me to live with my dad over in Japan after getting in to trouble out here. Great street racing scene out there. I remember once a dude was trying to pick a fight with me so I challenged him to a street race. Only thing I didn't have a car. Luckily my friend let me borrow his. I remember wrecking is so bad it had to be salvaged. Everyone at the meet was in shock and laughed. My friend wasn't mad tho he simply told me...don't leave town

As a New Yorker that has been to actual underground meetups, with real races and well tuned cars, this was a true shame and embarrassment.

CatchMahDrift this is based on the bmw scene not NYC’s car scene. New York has a lot of r34s, welded dift 240s and rx7s and home of one the first Supra teams since the 90’s. On top of that its the mother land of Honda tuning, and the guys you see in this video are from the Honda world, so their young guys using the bmws as the new “cheap fun” tuning platform. The street races from the old days drive tuned gt2s and TT Hurricans now.

Some of this footage was captured near my former neighborhood in Springfield Gardens. When I lived a block away from Rockaway Blvd (South Conduit), street racing was a big thing on the weekend. Once they began building the federal aviation building, they put sand up and down the Boulevard by what we referred to as "The Pit" which was the wooded area at the corner of 159th Street and Rockaway Boulevard.

La Pancaki that’s driving basics. It’s like Tetris. U know what block is next then you kno where u gonna put the current block. Traffic moves in lines of symmetry. Racing in traffic is like switching between gaps and u get boxed in if u don’t pay attention to who is coming up. I do it all the time and I get stuck behind a slower car because I didn’t see where the one next to me went(blind spots) so I hesitate to make sure. By then the gap is closed and then you are boxed in.

It's True, we got a track here in St. Pete FL and it's always packed with drifters and dragster when they open on saturday nights for like $20 and I think 6 or 8 passes, but when its closed, they take up a local bridge that the locals are so fed up with, cops and racers have died on the bridge due to racing, it's crazy. Cletus thankfully opened up his new track about 40 minutes from me though so that's hopefully gonna change a lot of things, if he opens every weekend, that's going to make a huge impact on street racers, Orlando has a HUGE race scene too and they might even come and race here. They should have atleast one or 2 race trace tracks in each state, that would for sure help out a lot with the race scene.

The turbos are connected to the intake. They aren’t supposed to shake idk why everyone thinks he’s calling the intake a turbo he’s obviously talking about the actual turbos further down shaking in the engine 😂

@@bluebull107 even if the turbos were moving when you moved the intake pipe that means either the turbo isn't tightened to the exhaust side or the turbo mount is loose. He specifically said the turbos were blown in the video but yet we didn't see him demonstrate shaft play on the turbine, he only showed a loose turbo.
