It's incredible they could get away with those Amiga/Atari ST ports, without getting sued. The 8-bit versions, while not perfect, was at least playable. It's too bad they didn't care about creating 16-bit ports, that might not look like the arcade version, but at least ran at great speed. But as long as they could make great looking screenshots on the box and in magazines, they didn't care if they tricked kids into wasting their money on a broken product.
a Sega Genesis/Mega Drive port (version) was planned but never released. a 32X port (version) was in development by Sega, but not published. Dempa was working on a Sega CD port (version) that also did not reach store shelves.
C64 for me. Chris Butler did a great job and the music was amazing imho. I'm surprised the CPC version didn't suck too much and could move all that stuff at decent speed.
C64 is a great version. Character interaction is there which is missing from Amiga/st. C64 would have been nice to include the up n down hills animation on the car.
amiga and atari deserved the effort that the pc-engine got, but they were probably provided with 0 information and just ported it from screenshots, whilst the pc engine was probably helped by sega
The GBA beats the arcade! The arcade is kind of ugly and seems jarring. The Saturn looks like a port but somehow it seems better than the arcade ands not as disorienting.

Pleasantly surprised with C64! Awesome music and graphics!
c64 nails the style really well within its limits

It's kinda strange it was not ported to any contemporary sega console
@@federicocatelli8785Sega Dreamcast/Saturn did get a Power Drift port (version)

@@jasonlee7816I know but they were much later (8-10 years or 1-2 generations later)
@@federicocatelli8785you said it was odd (strange) Power Drift wasn’t ported on any Sega contemporary console meaning what?
I get such a chuckle from the Amiga port😄

Chris Butler coded the C64 Power Drift port (version) he didn’t do the audio, music, sound it was David Lowe

C64 is (was) a good port it wasn’t a great port (version)
I received the C64 version for Christmas and thought, a version of Power Drift. Help me. So surprised me, was a great game.
amiga and atari deserved the effort that the pc-engine got, but they were probably provided with 0 information and just ported it from screenshots, whilst the pc engine was probably helped by sega
Power Drift on the Amiga + Atari ST deserve more credit than the PC Engine port it sounds awful, crap, dreadful, garbage, horrible, rubbish, terrible
So it took the Dreamcast more than 10 years after its release to have a truly Arcade perfect home port of a super scalier Arcade game! Damn!
Of the 16 bit era I was surprised TG16 was the closest to the original. Amiga and ST versions were really sad.
C64 version has the best music by far
No good 16 bit port here (too slow to be enjoyable) but a competent conversion for pcengine.
Power Drift on the PC Engine/TurboGrafx didn’t feel, look, sound, competent or wasn’t a competent port (version)
a PC Engine/TurboGrafx CD port (version) could feel, look, sound, competent
Amiga Power Drift = lazy Atari ST port
To me the Pce conversion while not perfect is better than Amiga (or ST).. nice gfx and music, decent sense of speed (a key aspect in any racing game)
@@federicocatelli8785some of the sprites in the PCE port look a bit small or smallish unlike on the Amiga/ST
even the zx's version is better than the amiga
Amiga craps on the ZX Spectrum
@@jasonlee7816 this might be the worst amiga port
The DOS version is crap jeez C64 beats the shit out of this version!
Sur certains supports tu dois vraiment t'ennuyer 😢
