I always despised this game with a passion. Excellent presentation (on amiga) and sluggish gameplay pretty much on every platform. Although from the videos the Archimedes version looks the fastest one. The PC version was interesting at the time, as it had all the colors, but at the same time the VGA graphics made it too sharp IMHO. The speaker did a decent and yet sad job. 😂

Interesting how the Atari ST music seems to ripoff (homage?) The last ninja in the title screen and The great Giana Sisters during the gameplay... The Specturd version really surprised me, usually you don't get that speed.

Actually, I don't care about graphic or sound. If we're talking about the gameplay itself : PSX, MS DOS, and Saturn version : The COM with green color on the map are insane and hard to beat especially on higher difficulty. They're programmed to always finish first (or second position if you managed to reach finish line before them). But at least there is one positive aspect you should know. Unlike on another version, the AI in PSX, Saturn, and MS DOS version will USE THEIR ABILITY and not just punching you, although it requires you to use your ability to them first. (With exception if you're playing on rumble mode, or if there is COM playing as Rabbit, a new character, they're gonna spam their ability throughout the game) Sega Genesis version : If you're playing on Crazy difficulty, almost all characters will give you a hard time (except for Frank, Suzulu, and Sumo). And for some reason, when hitting the opponents with left punch, the enemies are suddenly gets slowed. But for right punch, it doesn't apply. The enemies still can chase you afterwards. And oh boy, both Biff and Raph are so OP in this version. Their gun ability can stun the opponent from afar 🤣 SNES version : I'm just playing a little bit here, and I found if playing on Crazy difficulty, I can't even finish on 6th position. Maybe I'm just too noob The other version? I never tried it, so I don't know much about it

Why dont they make a third condemned game and go back to basics with ethan being clean and sober continuing his fight against corruption homelessness and hunting more serial killers.

Of the 16 bit era I was surprised TG16 was the closest to the original. Amiga and ST versions were really sad.

Earthworm Jim, Wild 9, and Messiah are some of my favorite games. I wish that Shiney would've continued to develop games similar to those.

2:28 As a teen in the '90s who had both the Genesis and Sega CD versions of Flashback, I'd always wanted to hear a full-length version of THAT tune put to a full-length, uninterrupted version of the intro (polygonal graphics preferred).

ST versions sounds so much better (apart from to the panpipe fanboys) but a great game on both 16 but home computers

The PC version is the best but it is the hardest also.

I remember playing this wonderful game as a kid. The SNES version is the best version than all the other ports of Desert Strike. It had amazing graphics and sound quality effects that was way ahead of its time. The only thing I dislike about this game was the Danger Zone sound gave me a jumpscare.

Megadrive one was nearly as good as the Amiga. Dreamcast got BASS!!!

If you look closely at the driver sprite in the PS1, Sega Saturn, and DOS ports the sorite never turn or drift at all, it only facing the front all yhe time while only the background turns. In the Super NES, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, and Amiga versions the driver sprite actually had drifting animations and actually turn according to the track. I guess once the dev got to 32-Bit they became lazy and don't want to make more animations.

I have to say, the C64 version looks the most impressive in terms of what you might expect and what was delivered.

As a preteen, it would blow my mind that Vice city was made by the same company that made body harvest. I was actually very scared of body harvest as a kid.

ARGH! Once again, the ST version hurts the ears. Audio volume down at 2:15 if you want to avoid trauma.

ARGH! My ears! That ST music and in-game noise... Such a shame that everything had to cater to the STFM rather than the STE. Megadrive version is almost a masterpiece compared to that ear assault.

I don't understand why this was so popular, on any system. Fancy borrowed music and neat shop aside, it's utterly tedious, slow, ugly and unfair.
