I make a stovetop simmer potpourri every Christmas for family & friends. I use cranberries, cloves, cinnamon sticks, pieces of rosemary, nutmeg, & an orange that they can cut into slices to add. Everyone loves it & look forward to the beautiful aroma it fills their homes with! 🎄

I love this channel. I was about to go to bed tonight. Just finished reading the book of Esther. And after reading that thinking about God's sovereignty, His providence over everything, and how He used Esther and Mordechai to protect the Jews from destruction. So that one day the Savior Jesus would come from the promised line. And then I listened to your video on simplicity and a beautiful life. And I was so reminded and moved about what is most important. Thank you soooo much for just being a kind and godly woman. I've lately been writing a lot of blogs about God's will and how to deal with emotion etc. And I'm just so thankful to see another Christian using their gifts and talents to glorify God. Yes, I agree with that! Nowadays, we can have most kinds of fruit all year round, but getting them in season is much better! I loved loved the simmer pot! I keep it on the wood stove and our home smells cozy for longer! The Christmas decorations are beautiful too! 💕🎄

How lovely! I don't think I have ever used fresh cranberries in anything before so this has inspired me to try it out at some point. There is actually someone that I follow on Instagram who made something called Cranberry Snowballs. They are basically cranberries that are coated in a syrup and tossed in powdered sugar. They look delicious and I think I will try them out!

My favorite way to use cranberries is fermenting them with apples , pineapple, ginger, and fall spices. My daughter and I love using it in smoothies and on top of yogurt.

Eating seasonal fruit is truly a forgotten way of life. We have become so spoiled by our ability to import foods and have taken away the delight of anticipation. Waiting on God's good gifts is something we should recapture in our daily lives.

They are very tart! So they are typically never eaten on their own like other berries are. Cranberries are usually paired with sugar in some form or fashion :)

What do you think about Christian’s not putting a tree up for decoration because of scripture against this?
I personally do because I’ve not been convicted about it but I’m always ready to change my ways if it’s totally against God’s Word and a rule/guideline that still stands today
First I will say that if scripture commands us to do or not to do something, we are to obey whether we "feel" convicted or not. Buuuuut, the verse in Jeremiah that is so often used as the Christmas-is-pagan scapegoat is *not at all* about Christmas trees. If you carve and fashion an idol out of your Christmas tree, then take heed. But as a decoration...an evergreen symbolizing eternal life in Christ? Lit up with lights to symbolize Jesus, the Light of the World? Then it's simply just that :) There's sooo many memes and posts floating around this time of year with false information. Nick of Christ is the Cure has done a great job diving into actual history, proving that it is not a pagan holiday, and covering some of those verses that are often used. christisthecure.org/category/holidays/ Celebrating Christmas or not, is a Romans 14 situation. There is much more I can say on this but I will leave it at that! ❤️
