I love watching and re-watching your videos...but, what especially tugged at my heartstrings was seeing you reading The Long Winter. I am almost 56 years old and still have the entire hardbound set from my youth. Laura is my favorite author!
Please NEVER stop posting videos like this because I literally l i v e for these videos😳😭✨They really make my day and they make me feel so calm and grateful🙏🏻
I love how you are embracing the season and not rushing it, taking time to enjoy yourself and not pining for time to move to quickly. I have been doing the same: doing a little cleaning, making hearty breads, making stews, reading, studying and enjoying the cold air! As always I love your videos ❤️ “I am home in the mighty stretch of winter’s soul.” ~Angie Weiland-Crosby
You know what? You have brilliantly captured the old adage "beauty and happiness is all around us, only if we chose to look" you have made the ordinary so very special and the true essence of happiness... thanks
I am 46 years old and I am always listening and re-listening to the Little House On The Prairie books and watching re-runs of the show on tv. Guess in a world that seems mad sometimes it's a reminder of simple and good things.
I have just recently been watching Homestead type of lives on UA-cam now instead of the worldly things I have been so over it. I have way too much new expensive things that I need to still get rid of but clueless on how since I do not live near a post office. I got rid of lots already! I do not even have a couch anymore. It was too big sectional white. Loved it. So waiting until time is right. Me I sit on handmade quilt on floor and let hubby sit in arm chair/ottoman. I am rarely sitting there long. I move around and bed is more comfortable to do things on like Ipad, reading, bills, everything I need to pretty much. I wished I could live that way so much. Just in case anyone says yes I can live a Homestead life. I can not. We have to retire to a luxury apartment. I say luxury only because I will be safer if left to live on my own. Had elevator instead of steps and locked outside doors. I stay alone 90% of the time( no pets but my beloved 2 1/2 yrs old Betta fish just died on St. Patrick'sDay, no one to have a conversation with in person or phone calls) as my husband works a lot even now in medical field so has to. He is all I have and he just had his left entire set of lungs out. I almost lost him and the risk is still there. Now right side is dieased with no cure but he is ok feeling for now. I think positive daily and happy because of God. I am not at all lonely. It feels good because the rat race of where I live is where everyone is moving to because you can make a lot more money here, lots of jobs, new everything popping up faster than you blink. In a week you can not recognize an area because they once again bull dozed down all the trees and began building all for money. No one says hi at all. I smile, say hi, hold doors open, try talking but they have their own life already so I understand this area. No one from here anymore. I only moved here 12 years ago for my husband as he wanted to make more money. I fought it but caved in as a wife now of 30 years. I am a housewife. We were not able to have children. My father across country 91 yrs old has Althizmer's and I view him on camera. I call him but he can not really talk and does not know who I am. It hurts my heart when I see my dad not having a life but he is well taken care of and I make sure to it! I use to be his care taker. He raised me. He was my best friend later in my adult years. My husband loves me so much but has not learned how to have a fun light conversation unless it is politics or what he is interested in. He lives on his laptop ear buds plugged in. He is sweet to me. I never have tv on! My husband watches it 24/7 this pandemic and that is when I get calm when he goes to work. I shut tv off. I now asked for us to move into this apartment since October because of his health and too huge of house etc. It was too overwhelming to deal with and that felt lonely. I love God #1! 🙏❤ So I could be around Homestead people and be in bliss. Learning from them, their company and refreshing down to earth conversations. I love and have so many hobbies like knitting but have not done any of them in years. Lost that motivation. Feel paralyzed except now that we are confined..everyone is. This is making me want to cook homemade again! I am mostly having to eat plant based but some dairy, very little grilled salmon but last time I could not. Did not want it. I am ok on eggs once in a while. I eat something bad few times a week and pay for it. I want to make my homemade soup but the shelves were empty at grocery stores. I appreciate you Kaet! You are so calming to me! Your beautiful outside , your soul and mind! All that you do and stop trying to be a perfectionist and worring about what "you" think people might think. You are wonderfully made and if you feel you mess up a vlog..well you didn't because it is real life. Real life has feelings, emotions different days. That is so normal and relatable not perfectionism. I totally adore you and I am almost 55 yrs old. I lived a life! You are my breath of fresh air daily. So thank you! 💝🙏🙏🙏
My favorite author; great memories of my childhood. Staying up late reading her books, pretending to be asleep. I would promise myself it would be the last chapter until it was finally the last chapter! Laura Ingalls Wilder was & continues to be my favorite children's author. I so admired her courage, justice & boldness. 😊
This video brought tears in my eyes..this is all I want in my life.... I wish your life remains clam and peaceful like this always...hope to achieve this peace and beauty of life in my own life too...thanks from the heart...
Kaetlyn, Hello! I must tell you I love your videos and your faith. It is so refreshing to find someone who really understands what it is to follow Christ. I long to have a small parcel of land to work, out in the country somewhere. Here in Chicagoland, it is getting harder to find. No farms left here where I live, all ruined by suburban sprawl. I love what you are doing with these videos and your blog. As a man of God, it pleases me to see them. You are a great inspiration to me. Thank you! With admiration and respect, Ken in Chicagoland
I loved this! I love the change of seasons, as I feel the seasons are good for the soul. Winter is the perfect time for "nesting" activities! This video helps us appreciate the simple beauty of winter.
These vids help my anxiety when I'm at work around noises and people, so I have a 15min break outside just watching and helps so much, Thanks, wish u many blessings and happiness ✨✨✨✨✨✨
I absolutely adore your wool mittens, sweaters and blankets, they look so cozy. I love your videos too they are so well made. Please keep them coming, I am going to go watch all of them I just found your channel! New sub!!

I really struggle with "Winter Blues", and this video made me feel so relaxed and inspired to embrace the cold and be gentle with myself and my feelings throughout the season. Thank you so much for sharing this video!! I've been in a slump for the past few days, and after watching this I feel more energized to start the day. Thank you thank you thank you!
Oh my, you have touched my soul. In my dreams I am right there with you. I feel inspired to start doing winter photography in my yard and chronicle my winter this way. Thank you!
Feels like in another dimension living as a peasant with chilling music in the background, a fantasy world, atleast that's where peace truly lies in...
Just discovered you (end of January), and so thoroughly enoyed watching you make the "mundane" homely chores look restful and beautiful! In the hurried world of today it is so important to slow down and take time to be intentional - no matter what season it is. Thank you for this lovely perspective!
wait wait wait why did this video almost make me cry??? Like this is what life should've been, slow, peaceful, simple! No rushing, no greed, just what we need! I am so grateful to have found your videos, how inspiring to remember to take things slow.
Incredible as always ♥️ I always save watching one of your new videos for a time later in the week when my soul needs it and you never disappoint. What beautiful days you live 😊
Lovely and cozy and comforting 😌. What a beautiful video! I made your cranberry orange muffins today from the winter seedtime and harvest, adding chopped walnuts...absolutely delicious with my tea ☕️😋🥰! That poppy bread looks sooo good too (lemon poppy? one of my fav combos). Thank you for capturing the quiet and stillness of winter, embracing all its gifts. I love how you put your Christmas tree garland out for the birds and squirrels 💝. I read the My First Little House Books to my girls before we read the regular series. We would curl up under blankets on the couch and read them again and again: Christmas in the Big Woods, Sugar Snow, and Dance at Grandpas...my daughters’ favorites!!! I would tuck away all the seasonal books at the end of each season, and it made it so special (and they would get so excited) when I pulled them out again the next year...sweetest memories 💞!
I will definitely be replaying this video again! Gives me all of the cosy vibes! Absolutely love your white jumper! I need to get me one like that. Also I’m inspired to start using my family’s vegetable patch again from watching this. Hopefully me and my family can use it more this year :)
If this was my home, I'd probably never leave. To wake up so cozy and quiet and calm and then venture out in a fast pace modern world, ugh, no thank you. What a space you've cultivated
Thank you. You inspire. You live in such a peaceful and calm way that it can't help but inspire others to slow down and appreciate the ordinary things. I could watch your vlog every day, even if it's only in the background as I do my needlework.
Oh how I wish the winter season would come around sooner... I have such nostalgia this year for a warm and fuzzy December that I'm wasting this summer day away by watching videos such as this one.. 😅
Just found your channel, and I think it’s one of my new favorites. The slow pace and easy living just makes you want to slow down. Thanks for sharing !
Love your channel, I’m watching this as I’m making homemade butternut squash soup so I had to laugh when I seen your hearty soup come on the screen! Keep up the great work!
Beautiful video as always! I love the natural colours that you surround yourself in and the peacefulness of your lifestyle that you are able to share with us❤️🙂
Your videos are the most relaxing thing in my life... I also struggled with Winter so far in my life, until last year when I finally became to appreciate this season and all that it brings. Crispy early morning, alone in my living room, drinking tea and reading, when it's still all quiet around (I live in a big city and quiet just isn't an option). Thank you for making such beautiful videos, it's been a true inspiration and a real gift in my anxious life.
As your quotes said, your inner life is full of beautiful little quiet things! You have all the ingredients to live a good warmth winter, thank you for this moment so inspiring! p.s When I saw your little rabbit, I was so happy and "childly". I miss so much mine, my little Kiko!
Heart of Kentucky. Thank you for your new video. I'm praying that you and your family get a nice place in the country. In the mean time, you are making the best of your circumstances. Katie.
I love the winter. It's probably my hands down most favorite time of year. The ice, the snow , all of it is God's way of saying slow down. Take care of yourself . Spring is coming and you will be busy as a bird. Wrap up and Enjoy
Just seen this video. I made pillow cases 4 days ago with the ties Love that look. I made a few throw pillows and put buttons on them. And Thinking about putting some on the end of my pillow cases. Wonderful video. Blessings to you
The tiny floral design is perfect! Such a wonderful and warm touch to your sanctuary. And the ties on the end is something I have never seen, just lovely :>) And your reading -The wonderful Word of God (most important) , and Henry David Thoreau, you can't go wrong.
I loved this video. I have always loved winter most--a time to savorl the quiet--read, paint, just--cocoon! It's wonderful. It's nice to see that others embrace it as well. Enjoy
This is one of my favorite video's of you. I really like that you show different scenes and times in the day, combined with a different kind of music and written words each time! Love how you put this together!
your videos are such a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of the world, i love going back and watching them again. I got incredibly lucky watching this video the first thing in the morning, while drinking hot chocolate. Thank you!
Your way of life is a goal for me. I endulce in your videos and lose myself, just as if I was reading a good book 📚 it’s inspiring. Thank you for sharing it with us 💕🙏🏼😊
I looooove so much your vlogs. I've been searching some channels here on youtube to see more content like yours but ... IMPOSSIBLE. Your content, your vlogs, your essence is unique and have that type of magic that anyone couldn't have except you. You give me so much peace and serenity. You make me connect with the most important things in life and I think your channel is one of the best channels I've found on this platform ♥ ️
Love your videos. If I could make a suggestion, the print on the messages is a bit small and goes away before I can read them. Please consider adjusting. From a CA Silicon Valley woman that would rather live as you do. Thx 🙏🏼💕
Imagine my delight to find your videos tonight..simply lovely. 22? You're magnificent. I have grandkids older than you , what a lovely niche you found. So now? I shall binge watch.❤ Of course I've subscribed, always like and share !

And where I live, in Alabama, it actually dosent get REAL cold till Jan-Feb-March, sometimes even April.
