- we have been busy in the kitchen this harvest season! 🥕 this video is just a small glimpse at all we are preserving for the months ahead. this is our first year really preparing like this, so we are making things in small batches and figuring out what recipes and methods we like best.

There is nothing like going in the pantry in winter and grabbing a jar of food that your grew and preserved. God is good.

I grew up on a farm, but I now live in the middle of a city in a second floor apartment, and it's my husband's and my dream to own a piece of land and start a homestead. You've inspired me to start living more simply, even in my current situation, and I'm ever more hopeful that I will be able to achieve my dream lifestyle someday. Thank you!

A tip that I learned from my grandmother: turn the bottles upside down after getting them out of the water! That way, you'll get rid of more oxygen in there and they'll keep longer without issue (at least I think that's the reason? :D). Lovely video, as always!
The only thing it does is keep the lid hotter longer, ensuring a better seal. Bubbles can't escape down 😉
