alcantara is the greatest trick manufacturers pulled on customers…. they charge you more for cloth that costs them 1/100th the price of the leather that was in the car already
Always ways to make more money 😒, and everyone eats it up as if its the best thing since sliced bread, wears out quicker, doesnt age well especially when getting dirty, imo looks tacky, people are dumb.
Thx Ponch. Informative review. Have a 2018 RS4. Love it!! And that's 'stepping down' from a 2014 S8. As an overall package, the RS4 does everything as you say. Maybe in 4-5yrs time, I'll upgrade to this last gen RS4.
I've only had it for 3 months. The 2.9 V6 is apparently quite reliable, as is the gearbox It's got to be better than my S8. I sold the S8, my "dream car" after only 18 months of ownership because I got sick of taking it back to Audi Centre Sydney for them to fix things they should have fixed properly in the first place. The S8 had a perfect service history & I had the actual service records since new from the original owner. It all turned to sh*t as soon as Audi Centre Sydney touched the car. Got sick of waiting up to 6 weeks to get parts from Germany or 3 weeks from Singapore. Their Service Centre is a carpark, in which the S8 got scratched. I'm loving the RS4. I had an S6 before the S8, and an A7, A4 & A8 before that, so a bit of an Audi fan. The RS4 ticks a lot of boxes. I also had it checked out by an independent ex-factory VW/Audi mechanic and its all good. Fingers crossed. 🤞
@stephenhunt6673 mate that is pretty ordinary. Was that due to covid? Hope it was under warranty. I've only ever had bad experiences with BWM so trying to do as much research as possible although a RS4 is my dream car.
Nothing to do with COVID. Most of the work covered under warranty, but then coincidentally something related coi cudentally failed after they'd worked the engine & Iit wasn't covered under warranty. Anyway, the RS4 going great & puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and give it a "squirt".
Hoping this continues using same driveline in new A5 as Audi rejigs line up with even numbers for electric. Often these cars are too stiff legged for suburban roads and not a fan of a low ride height just for an aesthetic sought by cap backwards yoof. Great review 👍
Nathan Ponchard- your reviews are always top quality!
Out of my league but nice review and good to see you on the screen Ponch.
Powerball tonight, RS4 tomorrow!
Sounds like a good plan!
Loved the passionate review - keep them coming !

Hey mate thinking of getting a 2018/2019 RS4. Have you had any issues with yours?

200k is a lot of money. I just can't think of spending this much money on a wagon.
But it’s everything in one car!
One of the best Volkswagen sedan
Great review, cheers
Would love if you guys did the indicative on-road price in NSW or VIC , because the MSRP is tens of thousands off what people will pay for these.

M3 murders it.
Is it a wagon?
@@andrewd7586 yes G81 is $200k
@@andrewd7586 Yes, I'm clearly pitching like for like.
And the M3 is an uncomfortable car for everyday city driving, particularly in suburban roads in Sydney & Melbourne.
Lovely car, but the M3 Touring is simply much better in so many areas
A very nice car, that's not an EV or a SUV. I'll take the black coloured one 😉
6:50 fire whoever edits your videos. How is 331KW equal to 247 HP??? How does such pass through the editing team?😅
4:50 as a flat-bottom lover I was offended with this comment
Think the power figures are way out. My 2.0 a5 has 258bhp…. Sure the RS is double that
its a bastard when your t-shirts shrink in the wash
WTF 200k plus and with a iPad on the dash 😂😂😂
Terrible review with no contrast, expensive and under steering old car. M3 Touring better value. Why the lack of contrast?
no question that it's a great car but 200k price tag is absolutely insane for this. M3 Touring is just so much better in every way.
