Are you trying to lock focus on a person? There are different zones/areas in the frame you can lock focus on, but depending on what's happening it's not completely reliable, or you can just switch it to manual after getting the image in focus
Hey, thanks to share your interesting video. I'd like to buy A7 IV, but I know it overheats easily and I have to take it to hot countries like Africa and I will use it every day for many hours a day. What is your thinking? Thank you
Great question actually, while filming this it did overheat a few times. It seems to get hot when you're in the menu for extended periods of time, which is strange and I imagine there will be a firmware update to address that. I've also heard it overheats with dual slot recording. I haven't had it overheat filming at 24fps onto 1 card though. So I would say it depends on what you're shooting. My a7siii tends to overheat at 120fps, but nothing else, so if you're strictly looking for video that might be a better option. I do however expect some firmware updates with the a74 that'll address some of these concerns. I may run some tests and get back to you. Hope that helps!
@@BradGiannini I than you so much for your reply. A last question please: I often will use it in Africa. Do you think the Sony A7 IV will be sturdy enough to withstand the heat, dust and humidity?
@@ExploringWorldUA-cam There is weather sealing on the a74 so it should be sturdy enough to handle those conditions (although ideally you want to keep it dry and clean!). So I think you should be okay. I will get back to you on the heat after I run some tests!
@@BradGiannini I love this camera but by far the most complex I have ever owned. I use it for photos and making my UA-cam videos but if you look you will note I’m still off with the white balance
@@DrUndoTattoo It is fairly complex! I just looked, I actually think it looks pretty good for the most part, just occasionally a bit warm indoors. I'm not sure what lights you're using or how the white balance is set, but you might want to decrease the Kelvin (cool it down) a little bit when indoors. I actually did a video on white balance that might help: ua-cam.com/video/OlGItt1AqCo/v-deo.html
3:19 - I selected the same format as you did but under frame rate I only have 25p & 50p as options and not 24p, 30p or 60p. Do you know why?
It's probably in PAL instead of NTSC, are you outside of US
Saved me hours. Thanks
Legend! Clear and nicely paced
ha, glad to help!
Bro may i know how to lock focus when im taking video pls

Hey man :)
I can't use the 4k 60FPS only 50 FPS - i have the A7M4 with a Highspeed SD Card (300mbits)
What have I wrong?
XAVC-S-I 4k
Hey - is it set to PAL or NTSC? If you're in Europe it's probably in PAL meaning you'll get 25fps and 50fps
Can I shoot oversampling 4k 30 from 7k with XAVC S 4k 30p or oversampling 4k 24 from 7k with XAVC HS 4k 24p? Thank you.
Sure can! However if you use 4k super 35mm mode it'll be oversampled from 4.6k I believe
Can i shoot ad film in this camera
Yes you can definitely film an ad with this!

Always solid content. I'm married to my A7SIII for awhile but still a great video. Cheers!
Ha thanks, as am I. If you're ever looking for a B cam, this is a pretty good one!
How to Pause Video?
On a phone, just click anywhere on the screen
@@BradGiannini Sony A7 IV VIDEO recording Pause hold Option is Available or Not?
@@Dunzocamerarentpune388 You can't pause a recording, it'll stop and create a clip, is that what you're asking?
Great thanks for sharing
