This video wraps up our MJ series. Thank y’all for tuning in over the last few weeks and taking a deep dive into the dominating, fascinating and obsessively competitive career of Michael Jordan. We’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming next week. Much love brothers 🙌🏽
Per Las Vegas odds in a one on one game LeBron -500 Jordan +350 MJ would lose. You girly Generation Z boys want to talk about "positionless" basketball, but you'd be the same ones complaining about how Bron is a SF and Jordan is a SG when the King murked him in a one on one. MJ can never lose in your eyes and most of you never saw him play in the NBA.
Career-wise, LeBron will always make sense. But as far as the eye test goes, it's definitely Kawhi. Jimmy and DeMar have similar traits to their game and especially DeMar since joining the Bulls. But MJ's absolute dominance on both ends of the court is and will always be mind boggling.
@@MalibuHornedFrog eh defense 'back then' is overrated as fuck, hopefully the availability of more game footage from the 80's/90's will make people realise defense back then wasn't good fucking defense at all and that basketball is entirely different now compared to then.

Same. Even more in 2023. The playing style and the attitude are the biggest factors imho. Also have to agree with Jxmi that DeMar DeRozan, in terms of his size, footwork, style, and skillset, reminds me of Jordan the most - especially now seeing him on the court in a Bulls uniform.
Jxmmy: "Will u go out with me?" Her: na Jxmmy: now let me use graphs, data, and charts on why you should say yes #goatstatus But for real your videos are awesome
Actually, there is one issue with this video. Mj never said russel westbrook resembled his play style the best, he said russel resembles his passion for the game the most. That's a big difference

tbh, Kawhi looks like MJ from wizards era. clutch and midrange master. He is top notch defense player no argue there, but he doesn't have that MJs explosiveness
@@88lob I don't think he has the killer instinct either. He definitely has the work ethic, but it doesn't feel like he takes other teams winning as a personal insult. As a contrast, Kobe learned that playing angry was a valuable tool. MJ also knew that, and whether by choice or fault, MJ got insulted easily while taking it out on his opponents at the hoop. Kobe and MJ took it as an insult if someone thought they could be win. I don't get that sense from Leonard.
@@garretnarjes782 Hm not sure about that, he's very quiet, pure introvert never know what he really thinks, but he showed a power move by bringing PG to LA, and with that commercial my city from New Balance when he arrived there. Still think he has killer instinct, not as MJ or Kobe but he has similar level of clutchness (last year playoffs and SA vs GSW before he got hurt).
Jxmy you should do a video ranking the best NBA players today in tiers using the pyramid system like you did before. ESPN is ranking them now but they're doing it 1 by 1 which doesn't make sense because you could make so many arguments who's better than who. So I guess the pyramid would be top 30 players today and use the same formula you used before which is a fair way to rank athletes.
You use someone’s personality to take away from someone’s game. Tim Duncan didn’t talk much, he’s still the greatest pf of all time. No offense, but I think it’s a horrible argument.
Shimon Frankel yes. he's not flashy, let's his game do the talking, and off the court he's out here doing stuff like driving his car from high school 💀 he's pretty humble

Jordan mostly leaped of of one foot and his vertical leap at 46inches was insane. Derozan is missing those aspects plus the championships. Jordan had a killer mentality that not many do. What happen to Kobe Bryant?
@@privateuser7 yeah they're very similar except kawhi is more of a shooter (more like last 3peat mj) and demar is a finisher (early mj) if you combined them that'd be the closest to mj you could get
You know why Demar plays the most like mj it’s cuz Demar modeled his game after Kobe who modeled HIS game after mike. The defense just got lost somewhere in there
Jxmy would embarrass the current NBA analysts.. 2 - 5 people would definitely lose their jobs. I'd sit home and watch Jxmy on ESPN all god damn day lol
xsyphrr x He said it took him 4 days of LOOKING AT STATISTICS. That doesn’t include recording, and editing which is arguably the longest process anyways. He last posted 2 weeks ago. So it clearly took him longer than 4 days. No need to be a dick when you’re wrong. “dumbass”
Corrupt Kid Bruh no shit Kobe is close to Jordan. I mean Kobe basically copied Jordan’s moves and Jordan even said himself that if one player could beat him it’d be “Kobe Bryant only because he stole all of my moves”. But Kobe retired and also he had similar moves on offense but he was also an active 3 pt shooter and Jordan wasn’t really. But in today’s era, when looking at play style and stuff THAT WAS MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO SO WATCH IT, Kawhi is very similar to Jordan.
Players who play like Jordan would be physical SGs like Jimmy Butler or Victor Oladipo. They play the same way he did, they're just not as good. Kawhi doesn't play like MJ, his game is soft and even his personality is soft.
I feel like it has to be Kawhi. An elite two-way defender with a score first mentatlity, a true clutch gene, massive hands, and not the most incredible 3pt shooter.
Kawhi’s Career 3 Point Percentage is 38% while MJ’s is 32%. That’s a drastic difference. Kawhi has turned himself into a legit lethal shooter from anywhere on the court. Pull-ups, step-backs, fade-aways either shoulder, spot-ups. He can do it all. ✋🏿
Nah man, nothing wrong with him being on UA-cam. Espn is a bunch of liars who try to push political and social related bullshit down everyone’s throats and exaggerate and straight up fabricate stats. This dudes too good for that shithole of a network
I know it's crazy, there are so many other players who had that potential too but only MJ had that monster drive to dominate and be the best. Scariest part
Koda Kell no i dont think a better team is going to help him...he lacks work ethic to much...its dissapointing too bc he had everything in his toolbox to be stellar
@@rylee1k If you watched any warriors games (i did cuz im a diehard, but im guessing all the bandwagons left), Wiggins has grown tremendously on defense, and shown he has the work ethic with the right motivation. He had almost double digit games with multiple blocks and steals, with a 5 block, 2 steal game as his best. He has what it takes, I just think he needed a new environment.
Agreed. Kawhi really studied MJ's game, and it shows a lot. Quite a few habits are similar and shots and moves. Kawhi did get the profit out of it. If his knee wasn't busted by that infamous incident, he'd probably have made more. But One can't doubt the guy. He wins for his teams. People slept on him when he was in the Spurs because they said he was a role player. And the guy improved every year he could. I do think this is accurate.
Well, without even looking at the video, I tought Kawhi. Even though, Kawhi looks more like Pippen than MJ to me. Thank you for the honesty of your criteria, you've shown visibility and as usual that's an incredible creative concept. Now, Jordan never said Westbrook looks more like him, he said Westbrook looks more like him in terms of intensity/passion in the modern nba...pretty big difference...
Their offensive playstyle is kinda different. Pippen was a point forward, If you give him the ball he is more likely to find an open man or run a play than anything. Kawhi's playmaking isn't that polished even though he is a very smart player and if you give him the ball he'll most likely be the one trying to score.
@@Topolinho True, the player who looks the more like Pippen is Lebron James. He looks even more like Pippen than he looks like Magic. But Kawhi just makes me think more of Pip than of MJ. But you're right, he's not the playmaker Pippen was
D rose was the best at the rim finisher ever idc what any1 says but as a bulls fan jimmy butler was closer 2 jordan than any1 mentality toughness having 2 earn everything the defense rose wasnt as smart r as much of a leader remember noah was the leader of the team
@@jjreichner4554 I agree with you. But D. Rose really did remind me of Jordan especially when he's in the air and making difficult shots over taller defenders. When they faced the Celtics in the playoffs in his rookie season and when he's going face to face with Lebron and the heat, I thought he was going to be the next Jordan especially when he became the youngest mvp, the sky's the limit back then. I thought he could finally bring the Chicago back into the spotlight and win them a championship, but sadly that's not what happened.

I think it is right. DeMar looking like Jorden being on the bulls and balling his out of his mind right now
So as a Bulls fan, I'm glad DeRozan is now playing for us. So good!

that's why they call him demar dejordan
Jordan mostly leaped of of one foot and his vertical leap at 46inches was insane.

It makes it more interesting that the Raptors Traded Derozan for Kawhi. Who was just an upgraded Jordan Lite.
DeRozan was no joke too. He actually played pretty similar to kawhi, but shifted more to the shooting guard style
@@privateuser7 yeah they're very similar except kawhi is more of a shooter (more like last 3peat mj) and demar is a finisher (early mj) if you combined them that'd be the closest to mj you could get
The similarities are more striking now as DeRozan is playing so well with the Bulls!
DeMar looks like fuckin MJ x Kobe out there. No joke. It looks like I’m watching kobe
@@leeducationjames5558, with worse defence and playmaking.
@@grinsplit444 agree with the worse defense but demar’s playmaking>kobe and mj’s ball hog tendencies
You know why Demar plays the most like mj it’s cuz Demar modeled his game after Kobe who modeled HIS game after mike. The defense just got lost somewhere in there
@@chrissypooh2256Nah, Michael was the better playmaker and Kobe too when they tried to play point. Both were better playmakers but more selfish.
I wish you included Kobe as a bonus. I wanna see if he's actually a carbon copy and not less similar than Khawi
He's not more like Jordan than kawhi is. I'll even bet that d wade was more like Jordan than Kobe was

He just went from gold clutch shooter to bronze real quick

He had one bad game and y’all went from loving the guy to saying andrew wiggins is better than him overnight
I feel like Kawhi with MJ's personality and mentality would be one of the greatest to ever play
@Kawhi Leonard now only if you'd play every game and not get turf toe every other game
B-but we would never see a fun guy....
minus injuries
@Max Robson MJ is stronger but not by a lot coz Leonard used to play PF
@@bedtime1363 Kawhi is physically stronger. He is a brickwall literally.
During the Raptors playoff run in 2019 I was convinced he was the closest thing I’ve ever seen to MJ
You’ve obviously never seen Kobe then because they’re the same player
@@RobbieStacks90 Kawhi has the best mid range game in the NBA right now thats what makes him similar.

Exactly! Kawhi is deadly.
Much better 3 shooter than MJ.
Actually Kawhi can shoot 3 even in clutch moments
Ninja Channel he’s not much better if he’s even better at all
Kawhi’s Career 3 Point Percentage is 38% while MJ’s is 32%. That’s a drastic difference. Kawhi has turned himself into a legit lethal shooter from anywhere on the court. Pull-ups, step-backs, fade-aways either shoulder, spot-ups. He can do it all. ✋🏿

My guess is Kawhi Leonard.

but was jordan as fast as fox?
I don't think Jordan was as fast as fox. I can be wrong but just fox is so light compared to him. I have never seen Jordan be that fast personally.
Pippen ain't a 2-way and he isn't even a better defender than MJ
Their offensive playstyle is kinda different. Pippen was a point forward, If you give him the ball he is more likely to find an open man or run a play than anything. Kawhi's playmaking isn't that polished even though he is a very smart player and if you give him the ball he'll most likely be the one trying to score.
I always say Kawhi is an upgraded version of Pippen.
@@brigel4984 Pippen is exactly a 2 way and if he was playing in today's game he would have had better numbers. There's no doubt about it.
