Alright bois, it’s almost been a year since Kobe has died. Let’s make this a tradition to comeback to this video every January 26th so we can remember the emotion put on this video and the legend that was Kobe Bryant
"Believe in yourself, because no one is going to do it for you" - Kobe Bryant. RIP 24, Rest easy king. EDIT: Damn 740? Thank you a lot for the support lately, i just wanted to get that message out.
Man, the summer of '96 I was in my lowest. At 23 I had to give up the sport I loved most of my life and played since I was 6 cause of multiple injuries to knees, ankles, shoulder and back. I didn't want to watch, talk or think basketball, I wanted to crawl in a hole and let be. When the season started, a friend tricked me to watch a Lakers game. I was PISSED at him but he wouldn't let me leave the room. At some point in the game Kobe comes in. With his first move I got reeled back into the game. There was something about this skiny kid that made you sit down and pay attention. In the coming years I went from hating basketball back to being fully in love with it. And it was all because of Kobe. In my life I lost both my parents and my brother but the loss of Kobe somehow was the one that hurt the most. Rest in Peace Kobe and Gigi, and when the time comes I hope we can play a pickup game up in the great court in the sky.
After all this time, I still think back to when I heard the news, and I instantly weep. I am not a person that cries, but I cried the day we lost Kobe.
Bro, I was driving when I heard it on the news. I was absolutely in shock. I pulled into a parking lot and just lost it. I'm 37 and was in middle school in '96 when Kobe was a rookie, and he was my idol. The way he was taken with Gigi destroys me to this day, especially now that I have an 18 m/o boy. Absolute tragedy. There will never be another one like Kobe.

Indeed. I wanted to see this so bad. I couldn't think of a better way to truly appreciate KB right now; I knew Jxmy would do him justice, that it would be a labor of love.
Honestly I feel like Kobe will always be underrated. He was a victim of his era. He based his game on the greats that came before him. Greats that built their game to capitalize on the illegal defense rule. Game that was all about the iso. Then right before he starts to enter his prime, they change the rules making it easier to double team. It took the league 10-15 years to figure out how to use pick and rolls and spacing to improve efficiency. By that time Kobe was on his way out. His numbers don’t reflect how dominant he was, because that style of play wasn’t that efficient against the modern defenses.
It doesn't matter about the number of rings or stats personally. We all remember him because he was just electrifying, legendary and epic. He was a walking highlight reel, every dribble move, every shot, every fadeaway, pump fake, jab step he gave us, was a joy to watch. That is how his greatness I defined. also I like his style of play more, I love the classic shooting guard, that was something special
Boi this one hit me hard....I was sick to my stomach when I heard about his passing this Sunday. Then when I first heard of it being true I became devastated and my immediate reaction after hearing the news I immediately hoped his daughter, his literal future, wasn't on there then the worst I feared happened when I heard the fate about her. That day continued to get worst when the 7 others on that plane died as well. People that day lost friends, family, people they looked forward to seeing that day but an unfortunate tragedy fell on everyone that day. I can't imagine what the families are going through to cope with this, but I pray that they get through this rough time. Everyone stay blessed you never know when that time for you to go will come. Love you all.
Christos Belibasakis nah he knows how much money he gonna make off this vid . You shouldn’t make tons of money because somebody or multiple people died. You got people out hear that as soon as they heard that Kobe died in less then a minute we’re thinking about how much money they were gonna make out of putting him in the title

Goodbye to my favourite of all time. From when my cousin introduced me to Kobe in 2k16 blacktop I was 100% hooked on finding out everything there was to know about the mamba, from the three-peat with shaq, to 62 in three quarters, to 81 points, to two more championships with pau gasol. When I found out about his death I just kinda sat there on my bed. I went to play 2k and saw the message on there and to this day it crosses my mind every now and then that this legend ain’t on this planet anymore. Rip to mamba and gigi.

IKJGI Hella sad, growing up I wasn’t really brought up in basketball but in the past 3-4 years I’ve gotten into it and even tho I never watched a match of him I still feel like I lost him. Sick dbook profile picture tho Gotta stay positive
As someone that is just getting in to basketball in last the few years this channel has become a favorite of mine I love history and now I got a whole new history to learn and a ton of things to go back and watch and it’s honestly pretty awesome
I started hooping since the age of 8, the first time I saw Kobe was when my Dad show us some clips on how Kobe and Jordan have the same kind of skills, then he bought Nba live 08 I always play as a Lakers because why not? and after that I want to hoop, I don't have the passion to work hard and improve myself because for me basketball is just hobby but when Kobe got injured against the Warrios on playoffs I saw him standing on his feet shooting two feet throws, that give the boost that I need, I've been practicing and playing for almost my whole life. I know I didn't improve so much, I didn't become the player I wanted to be, I didn't grew a 6 ft tall, I don't even have the hops to dunk, I didn't even got on a Varsity team, and a lot of guys outplayed me, even my 16 yearold brother outplayed me (I'm 18 so that's a big deal for me). But still I love playing basketball Kobe taught me so much not just on the basketball court. Its really hard to accept that he's gone. Still I love Kobe. I love basketball. Stay safe yall. Been a fan of you @JxmmyHighroller for 2 years. I always watch your latest uploads. Thank you for thiz Video I know that this won't heal our heart, but this what we really need to see right now. 2k GoDsZ to be honest, I’m a soccer guy...been that my whole life, and jxmy is probably the only UA-camr I look up when I need detailed, well organized, numbered facts about the ball life...and When I heard the news, first thing I audibly said after “oh shit” was “...I can’t wait to see how proper Jxmy will send him off”...so we support you My guy...always will brother.thank you for again for doing this
364 Days ago, we lost an amazing basketball player, father, story teller, and person. We miss you Mamba. RIP.

Indeed. I wanted to see this so bad. I couldn't think of a better way to truly appreciate KB right now; I knew Jxmy would do him justice, that it would be a labor of love.

I've been putting off watching this because I know it's gonna get me...
His numbers don’t reflect how dominant he was, because that style of play wasn’t that efficient against the modern defenses.
silverskeeter god said fuck it and grinded all his hof badges and got him 99 overall
Benito Mussolini god ain’t do that for him , he grinded.
Then he should have adapted like lebron
I’m not even hating he’s great but if he had adapted he’d have more accolades
It doesn't matter about the number of rings or stats personally. We all remember him because he was just electrifying, legendary and epic. He was a walking highlight reel, every dribble move, every shot, every fadeaway, pump fake, jab step he gave us, was a joy to watch. That is how his greatness I defined. also I like his style of play more, I love the classic shooting guard, that was something special
SamYG lebron isnt a scorer lmao buddys a passer
There is always a reason someone is great. But when they move on, you’ve got to remember why
Its been a little bit over 2 years. Kobe is something and should never be forgotten thank you for everything jimmy!
Well said fam... We're going to miss the black Mamba....
you have 24 likes, i am not going to like just so that you can keep that number
Noam Nasser hes almost at 81 so we can stop there
R.I.P To Kobe,Gigi and everyone that was on the helicopter and I pray for their family and so sorry for what they are going thru
Jimmy a real one for making a tribute to the other goat 💯
Christos Belibasakis nah he knows how much money he gonna make off this vid . You shouldn’t make tons of money because somebody or multiple people died. You got people out hear that as soon as they heard that Kobe died in less then a minute we’re thinking about how much money they were gonna make out of putting him in the title

As a Celtics fan, I never thought Kobe could ever break my heart again.... RIP Black Mamba 🙏🙏💔💔
Kobe sucks

Kobe's game was so beautiful to watch... art in motion, like a graceful venomous dance so intricate and precise. He was the NBA's Michelangelo.... with venom.
RIP Mamba and Mambacita

I root for Lebron now because I’m a diehard Lakers fan but watching him is not as fun.
and I can’t stand watching Harden. just wanted to throw that out there haha
RIP KOBE, you inspired me and many others to go after your dreams. You made me push work even harder at my craft. I am working to make the nba and Kobe has inspired me every time. I here the stories and they inspire more. KOBE thank you for making me a better me.

A beautiful tribute to a legend. RIP Mamba.
R.I.P Kobe, Gigi, and the 7 other passengers 💛💜
I'm in tears. THANK YOU Jxmy for the best, most heartfelt, and most accurate tribute to Kobe I have seen yet!! It was the mentality he displayed that will be his most lasting legacy, and it is why he is the GOAT when it comes to living your best life as the best version of yourself. He has shown us all the way and given us the example. For that we are all in his debt.
“Hero’s come and go, but legends never die.” Thank you Kobe for what you have done and the impact you had on this earth

after all this time i still cant watch this video without crying. What a great tribute for Kobe this is. Thank you so much Jimmy for this video. Hope you and Gigi are resting easy Kobe. We miss you.
R.I.P. to a legend who was gone to soon 😢 He was an inspirational, a great basketball player, and most of all a respected legend.
I remember playing 2k17, and seeing Kobe. He said "Welcome to NBA's 2k17 MyCareer mode, enjoy!" 😭
I'm a suns fan, so Kobe was never one of my favorite players, but you have got to respect him for all he has done, all of his clutch moments, and his longevity. Sad to see him gone.
#RIPKOBEANDGIGI
IKJGI Hella sad, growing up I wasn’t really brought up in basketball but in the past 3-4 years I’ve gotten into it and even tho I never watched a match of him I still feel like I lost him.
Sick dbook profile picture tho
Gotta stay positive

IKJGI if even tho u win down 3-1 to him I feel like he beat ur ass he actually gave up and start being a point guard which was trash
As someone that is just getting in to basketball in last the few years this channel has become a favorite of mine I love history and now I got a whole new history to learn and a ton of things to go back and watch and it’s honestly pretty awesome
When I started liking basketball it was so cool learning all of the history of ball and teams and all these things
Thank you and Godbless 💜💛

Yes 💯 💯
I'm a Lakers fan too, but I'm not gonna be biased and say Kobe is better than MJ. It's close, very close. But MJ is still GOAT. Kobe is the closest to him. None of that LeBron nonsense.
I still try to convince people that Kobe is the best player to ever play the game of basketball
