Thanks Adrian, I much appreciate that! I actually have one pretty much finished, just waiting to get my setup figured out for how to separate the "how-to" videos to make them easy to find. If you subscribe to my channel, then look around through my videos, you will find some "how-to" vids mixed in, but many more to come!! Hopefully more organized 🙂
Hi Rick, you are an inspiration to me. I'm from Portugal, I'm 50 years old and I started to supsurf 3 years ago. Its one of the best things to me, makes me happy even in bad conditions. I want to surf like you do at your age and still have fun.🤙
Thanks Joasa, I appreciate that! You have many great years ahead of you and the fun will only increase! I had a blast in Portugal.... such a beautiful country with wonderful people 😊
Hi Rick, looking good at 95kg! I’ve only been out once on my 8.10 Ghost. I moved to an area where I just can’t get inspired to go but hope to get back to my favourite spot (Noosa) in the future. You are still an inspiration. 👍
Thanks Mark... it has made a big difference! Wow... I hope you can get back to Noosa and score some waves! It's tough to be in a place where the waves are uninspiring... make it happen!! The Ghost will sooth your soul!
I’m always inspired by your videos Rick! I wanted to ask about the Quobba fins you use for this board. How they compare with the fins that comes from Sunova for this particular board? Do you still recommend them also for this one or the stock fins are more than enough to enjoy the board performances? Also is the board coming with futures or fcs1 fin boxes? Thanks!
Hi Daniele, I am glad you like them, thanks for watching! I use only Quobba's on my Ghosts except when I use "Ho Stevie"Quads with 3.5" rears when waves are small and I want to add some "drift" into the equation. Honestly, I have never even tried the stock Sunova fins in the Ghost.... I really need to do that on the next session, so I know how to answer this question! I had this exact conversation with a new Ghost owner in Northern California yesterday. He said that the Quobba's definitely made a noticeable difference.
Hi Rick, great video, your foot technique is terrific. The board looks pretty. I own a Soul 8´6. In your opinion what should be the next step the Ghost o the kanga?
Thanks Couhi, I appreciate that! Ghost all the way! Such a good board that I don't surf anything else these days! It was born out of my favorite boards: SP25, Flow and Kanga!
Hi Rick... yup, large Quobba's in the front if Ho Stevie quads.... or the Quobba Mixed Thruster set Anyone wants to save 15% on Quobba fins, just use promo Code "creek15" ... most amazing fins on almost any board!! Today, I picked up an 8'8 Ghost after I paddled it in a thunderstorm with howling side wind, chop and crap waves..... never fell down, so tomorrow, I surf it!!!! So stoked! I hope you are getting some waves down your way!
Rick-can you let us know the details on the video cards that you use for each session-i.e. 128 GB micro SD XC 30? 64 GB? Do you reuse the card or replace with a new card for each session. I have a SoloShot 3plus Thanks
Hi SouthO The card I use int this SoloShot3 is SaniDisk Extreme Pro 128 GB micro XC30 I shut down IMovie and reopened, to make sure it was stored correctly.... Then I reformat the SD card in the SoloShot. This is not an easy option to find.... Turn on the SoloShot Swipe to settings click on SD Card Swipe UP... the "Format SD Card" is hidden below "Photos Remaining" Click "Format SD Card" Click "Format" You should do this before using any new SD card, just to make sure its ready to use My buddy just got a Plus and says it's super fast and easy to set up.... mine can take up to 20 minutes to get set up and calibrated
great paddle board surfing! Could you please add an instructional video about getting out past the break
Thanks Adrian, I much appreciate that!

Love your "mixed' conditions rick ! Just curious would you say the speed 8'10 was faster than the ghost 8'10 ?
Thanks AP!
No... the Ghost is much faster than the Speeed, easy to pump and snappy. Totally different board.
