RZR Pursuit in Glamis Ends With Gnarly Crash

- No one successfully gets away from the BLM or Park Rangers in Glamis Sand Dunes. This 2016 Polaris RZR XP Turbo tried to evade arrest Thanksgiving Night at Oldsmobile Hill and failed after being chased by a V8 powered Police Sandrail and launched more than 20ft off a dune destroying the entire front end. The RZR suffered blown shocks, ripped off A-arms, cracked rims, a smashed radiator, a bent frame and most likely a tow to the scrap yard...

Do people not realize you can be charged with a felony for fleeing from the police in a motor vehicle, even in the dunes?
I never knew there were police buggies... i know they had the raptors. But I'm not so sure I would have stopped (only because I wouldn't have thought it was a cop).

25 or so years ago Glamis was a fun place no cops on dune buggies may be a ranger visiting the camp sites not anymore. I stop going there when they started to rope off certain areas no camping I'm sure they serve a purpose to keep the crazies in check.. I have seen a lot of accidents at Glamis some fatal others not you ride at your own risk.
Last year we were there and some people put gasoline on a big tractor tire, lit it up and rolled it down one of the hills that people race up. You know they didn’t pick it up after and dispose of it. Some people just ruin it for others.
Went to glamis a few years back and had to deal with one ranger - total A-hole! Had some cones out to save room for friends on the way and he ticketed us, as that is not allowed there. It was our first trip there. We were extremely polite. He could've simply told us to pick them up but he was a rude prick with a tough guy attitude, "which one of you wants the ticket?". We'll never go back (which was probably his goal). Way too many inexperienced and knucklehead riders and drivers and too many jaded law enforcement because of them.
There needs to be a major crack down on bad cops
Police no longer help if someone is stealing your property or helping if you are attacked
Look at the major corruption of the DOJ & FBI and the Clinton - Obama - Bush - Soros - criminal cabal - etc.....

Every park ranger I have ever met was an entitled jackass who felt they needed to ruin your day in order for them to feel like they were doing their job. Idk what it is but rangers seem to be the worst of them all.

I don't know about you guys, but I would love a screensaver of a massive sand dune with all the cars, sand rails, and bikes with the lights on like this at night! I think an animated screensaver of the scene around 00:30 in the video with just randomized lights and movement would be very pleasant at night and to fall asleep to.

My memory of Glamis is spending a week at Thanksgiving, and never seeing one cop or ranger or a single life flight. Boy those sure were boring times

@steve bevington I think it’s needed. Glamis is known for people partying and a lot think that they can get wasted and drive their 800+hp sand rails or let their unlicensed children drive the razors without any experience. I go to glamis a couple times a year and every year I see at least one serious injury from negligence or people showing off. It’s just like the river a lot of people think they can drive a boat after drinking. It just doesn’t mix I think having more rangers is good because when you see a rangers even if your doing nothing wrong most people will slow down or at least consider the consequences. It does suck all the new laws they make, last year I got a ticket for not slowing down near the dumpsters. It seems they make new laws all the time but it’s hard to find a book or something on the rules of glamis lol.

Looks guys never run from the police its just not worth it. Take the ticket, drive back out to el Centro for the court date. Tell them your not paying and you will take it to trial. 9 times out of 10 they will drop the charges against you.

Well number one, great RZR pilot totally. Number two, he (the pilot) did have them dusted ( the fuzz) a couple times but probably didnt know it. End result looks like the pursing officer used the four seat funco buggy to take out the RZR.

BLM would love to not have to be out there. Public safety is a major obligation of their work. I remember the BLM dune buggy from 2001, and time spent both enforcing rules, and helping people out in the Dunes.

i was on my way to oldsmobile when this happened the razor almost hit me on my quad and then on my way back to camp alot of sherriffs were on the way to oldmobile

Yeah that would be the smartest idea, but unfortunately when people drink too much and try to mix off roding in with it they feel invincible. Also if he/she wasn't drinking having a crowd of people cheering them on just makes that worse. If and when we do something wrong pull over and save yourself and others; worst case scenario we would get a $250 ticket, but if we did run, well the video is a good example for what happens. Glad you where paying attention, stay save brother!

Twenty plus vehicles plus., 40+/- officers at $70 per hour at probably 3 hours each = $10,000 +/- in cost for a what a $1,000 dollar ticket. for likely no helmet, flag or lights on.

No more Fun at Glamis first it was they shut the north side down in the 80s or 90s..then the Partys of the 90s to mid 2000s came with you must have a flag, lights green sticker etc etc...then the enforcement came in ..Might as well camp in your grandmas back yard now..Place is Lame ..people just goin out there to hang out in there motorhomes and run into people with there side by sides..
