@@NoThankUBeQuiet Me too. Abusive parents who think they're spectacular at their job, don't take criticism well and screw things up for their kids at every opportunity because of their enormous ego and borderline sociopathy. If you do well at something, they're right there to take credit, but if you fail, they had nothing to do with it, when usually if you do well, it's in spite of them.
And apparently, we get to hang out with a veteran Usher Raymond serenading us with "U Got It Bad." Now I'm really back to the 90s. Can't complain about that. Better times than now, that's for sure. Except maybe for gay people.
am i the only one, as an adult, who still understands max? I think forced trips really push kids away. There's a way to choose things to do with your kid that they like as well. When I was a kid, if my parents simply asked me what i wanted to do as well, it'd be a lot easier. Also making sure your kid doesn't have plans, as they are people too. Goofy should also understand Max, it goes both ways :)
Though Goofy's wife is never mentioned directly in the movies or series (despite a rumor that he says “she's up there in the stars” in one episode), there is an episode of Goof Troop where Max is very upset about not having his mother around-and it is implied that she has passed away (without ever directly saying it).
Originally Goofy had a girlfriend named Glory Bee (Like Mickey has Minnie and Donald has Daisy) but she wasn't exactly popular or had much personality. She was just there in the comics while he goofed up their dates. But when they started making Goofy cartoons, Glory, now as his wife, appeared quite a lot as a dangerously reckless driver. Lots of fans just assume she died in a car accident she most likely provoked.

True! Both needed to work their bonding: Goofy had to listen and let go the image of thr child and the fear the headmaster had influenced on him, to see that Max will forever love him and be his son, but is just a teenager, not a kid anymore. And Max had to give his dad a chance and understand that Goofy only wants his happiness, even when he has no idea what it is, because he loves him above all things. He needed to communicate more, too. This movie is gold.

32 years old (33 in October) and this is still one of my all-time favourite movies. I relate to this movie a lot in a reverse aspect. My dad has mostly given up on new experiences in life due to circumstances in his life over the past 10 years that weren't his fault. Because of this, I've been trying to reconnect with him on an emotional level and we've made a lot of progress. He's getting help elsewhere too, and I'm so proud of how far he's come. My dad can seem really cold at times, but if you know him, you are constantly aware of his inner warmth that he still projects in order to help others. He's a complicated man, but he's ultimately an honorable one ❤❤❤
I remember when the commercials for this were on tv, and it had a line “It’s hard to be cool when your dad’s Goofy”..and if that hasn’t been a line that has stuck in our family…lol
I've seen the video of Tevin Campbell singing Eye to eye live on the Goofy movie anniversary, at the end he brought the house down and the audience gave him a standing ovation for about 10 minutes and rightly so. He also played Seaweed in Hairspray on Broadway, that part was a role he was definitely born to play
My mom was a bus driver. She loved it. She found it super fulfilling to be able to bring smiles into the kids lives on her route. She made sure to learn all their names. And she only had a handful of problem kids.
The voice of P.J. Pete, Rob Paulsen, is a staple of your childhood lol Several voices from GI Joe, Transformers, Scooby-Doo, Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Tiny Toon Adventures, Swat Kats...Boober from Fraggle Rock, Ratchet and more from Talespin, Raphael and others from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yakko Warner and others from Animaniacs, Hadji of The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest. It just keeps going lol
When you get right down to it, Goofy's the villain of this movie-and a sympathetic and relatable villain he is, which is what makes it so great that honest communication brings in his 'redemption' so they team up. What a good movie.
I’d argue that Max is the villain of the movie. He’s the one that lies and manipulates his father and the girl he likes. Max finally realizes that and changes his ways. It’s like mean girls. The one chick is willing to lie and cheat to get what she wants but then realizes that isn’t who she wants to be and makes a change. Goofy is a roadblock but in the end Max is the one that has to learn a lesson.
I2I is literally one of the BEST disney bops ever hands down. there was actually a D23 con a few years ago where they got Powerline's voice actor to perform the song, it's on youtube and it's a full serotonin boost to the brain
This is such an amazing movie for something called "A Goofy Movie". Max was so embarrassed by his dad and terrified of becoming him. The dream sequence in the very beginning showed that, where he's in the field with Roxanne and it quickly turned to a nightmare when he transformed into his dad. So yeah, Max eventually learns that his dad is important and it's important to spend time with him. Goofy also learned that you also need to find some common ground with your kid, especially at Max's age when they're snotty, backtalking teens. Taking them on a cross country trip to a place they clearly don't want to go will make the entire trip a bad time. That's what I love about it, you can see where both the father and son are coming from. Yes, Max is a brat for most of the movie, but isn't every other kid in middle school?
In Goof Troop Pete could be a jerk, but he had his moments. In this movie though, he is straight up abusive. Also whatever happened to his wife (Peg), daughter (Pistol), and dog (Chainsaw)?
#bingers "Oliver and Company ". It has several 80's artists voicing and singing in the movie. Billy Joel, Bette Miller and Cheech from Cheech & Chong. #bingers "The Fox and the Hound " #bingers. 6:15 Your excitement for this part is contagious. It got me hyped! 20:12 A cousin of mine owned a waterbed as a kid. To be honest, it's fun for a little while but it was hard to move around on.
I just like the respectful and mature way you have to talk about fatherhood and relationships. So well done! This movie is fantastic and gives Goofy a whole new deepness. Always been on Max side, tho. Everything would be avoided just by communicating. Communication is the key: Goofy should tell Max about the principal and Max about Roxanne right away.
After today...(starts singing) Listening to Billy bopping to the songs Fun fact Idina Menzel's second husband Aaron Lohr does the singing voice for Max. Also this film is directed by Kevin Lima who directed Enchanted. Yeah let that sink in.
No but the best thing about this movie is who ever watched it the most memorable line that we all come together to say is “yo Stacy talk to me, talk to me, talk to me baby” Legit in person whenever someone says their name is Stacey this is the first thing I think of😂 defined a whole group of people and I’m proud to be part of it
I'm 34. My parents used to have a waterbed. I remember paper maps, they were fun to play with and see how far places were before Google. The most embarrassing thing my mom did was that she likes and can't help but tell stories about me from when I was a kid. I hate that and it's not aww that's cute stories, it's stories that other people don't need to know kind of stories.
When I was little I remember my parents using a paper map, but I mostly remember using Map Quest. I told my younger sister (10 years younger than me) that we would print out the directions and not just pull it up on google maps. I also told her that Netflix came in the mail; her face was pure confusion.
Billy: “There’s a lot of pretty girls out here with stank attitudes, stank personalities, don’t get caught up in the looks. Not if u lookin’ for a wife.” Me: Ain’t that the truth? I wish somebody said those exact words to me when I was in high school
13:06 Oh, that's not what you think it is, Billy. The glove is sparkly. As in "The One-Gloved Wonder," Michael Jackson. They tried to get him to voice Powerline, but he was unavailable at the time. He was also heavy inspiration for Powerline's design and vocal/performing style.
Yes! The principal is portrayed by the same guy from THE PRINCESS BRIDE. The one who kept saying "Inconceivable". He was also Cliff Huxtable's neighbor on THE COSBY SHOW.
Wow. That purple shirt really suits you! Oh and also, I'm a preschool teacher. Those kids are crazy and cute at the same time. Sometimes it can get overwhelming but its worth it. They can be real funny too!
When I was in high school my dad once jumped on top of a sonic table to dance to his favorite song, in front of my friends….. back then I was so embarrassed… but now it’s one of my favorite memories ❤️🤣
Still love this movie. Whenever it would come on, I’d drop everything to watch and sing along, and that’s saying something. I don’t even know all the movies I’d prioritize like that.
Power Line was portrayed by singer Tevin Campbell. Yep. That Tevin Campbell. The one who sang "CAN WE TALK", "I'M READY", "ALWAYS IN MY HEART", "ROUND AND ROUND", "JUST ASK ME TO", and "TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO"
One of my favorite animated movies! I was in love with Aaron Lohr (Max's singing voice) when I first saw this movie. Aaron Lohr was in Newsies, The Mighty Ducks 2 & 3 (Dean Portman - Bash Bros). I was also surprised to learn that he was the little dancing boy in Deniece Williams' Let's Hear It for the Boy. Edit: Waterbed. My family never owned one, but I had an aunt and uncle who did. I was so fascinated by it until, I started getting motion sick on it and couldn't get off it LOL
I always laugh out loud when you pull the microphone out everytime you react. First time I was like "where did the microphone come from loool" And now I always just wait for the microphone part 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 25:59
Billy! The voice of your childhood (mine too) is the voice of Max in this movie. Jason Marsden was in so many 90s sitcoms as the sly best friend. Look him up! So many things you remember he had a part in. Hocus Pocus as the voice of Binx, Tino in the Weekenders, Full House, Boy Meets World, Step by Step and so many others. LOVED him!!!
I loved this movie because my Dad and I used to take fishing trips. I remember one summer we took a two week fishing trip up in Ontario, Canada. I really wasn't excited to go because I didn't want to miss time with my friends. But I had the time of my life. One of the best bonding times with him. We had one of those campers that fir on the back of a pickup, and an 11" aluminum boat. We camped pretty rough. A couple years later, I couldn't do it again. Although he is too old to do that kind of camping anymore, I'm still planning on taking him out for a day trip, deep sea fishing, soon.
Loved all the karaoke moments - can't not sing to A Goofy Movie! This story has the best narrative structure. Max is embarrassed by his dad and doesn't want to become him, so he's willing to be someone he's not. Goofy is an excellent dad, but he needs to give his son some space to grow up. By the end of the movie, Max understands and appreciates his dad and who he himself is - a goof. And Goofy supports his sons navigation and plans, even if they aren't what he would have chosen ✨💛✨
I still keep a map in my trunk just in case but I grew up with Mapquest… printing out 3 pages of directions… and then you were expected to read them while driving… #bingers Eurotrip, The Birdcage, The Labyrinth, Emperor’s New Groove

The fact that u're so hyped for this movie makes it so much better.✊🏾😆📣 14:56 nah fam, I'm embarrassing to my parents!😂 My family blames my dad, I get it from him and most times we dance on commercial breaks just to get on my moms' nerves.🤪🤣
i would have guessed sophomore! been there long enough to make connections and get to know the dynamics of the school, but definitely no where near a senior. that was always my take!
max not appreciating his dad honestly makes me so angry. my dad died when i was sixteen and he didn’t get to see me graduate high school and won’t be apart of the huge milestones in my life. so seeing him be so pressed about his dad wanting to spend time with him infuriates me.

This movie makes you want to dance to the credits like no other
I've seen the video of Tevin Campbell singing Eye to eye live on the Goofy movie anniversary, at the end he brought the house down and the audience gave him a standing ovation for about 10 minutes and rightly so.
I 2 I is the best Disney song ever. It’s not up for debate or discussion🤷🏽♀️I said what I said🙅🏽♀️
😂‼‼
Hey when you’re right you’re right, and you? Here you’re right
@@NoThankUBeQuiet What are your top 3??
I would like to add “Go the Distance” into the mix for best Disney song
@@JaneMcQ100 Go the distance is definitely on my Disney Play List❤️
He might be the antagonist, though I'd argue he isn't even that, but every antagonist isn't a villain.
Map? Yes, a paper map. Oh boy, those were stressful times.
Jason Marsden played Max in this movie and played Binx in Hocus Pocus
In Goof Troop Pete could be a jerk, but he had his moments. In this movie though, he is straight up abusive. Also whatever happened to his wife (Peg), daughter (Pistol), and dog (Chainsaw)?
I think he's also on a father-son trip, hence no other family.
That “honey” was actually diamonds lol that was a nod to Michael Jackson with the studded glove 😅
That was a good time! The music was popping and the karaoke was on point 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 #Bingers Rise of the Guardians 🙏🏽🤗
I'm might be aging myself here, but I used to use mapquest as a teenager. Had to print out directions or write them down and everything.
#bingers Harry Potter series, Back to the future Trilogy, Incredibles 1&2, Despicable Me

ooh yes Harry potter!! and pirates of the caribbean series please

Harry Potter for sure. 💖
literally everyone who reacts to A Goofy Movie loves the line, “Talk to me Talk to me Talk to me baybayyyyy” 😂
Bobby is voiced by Pauly Shore, of course he was doing drugs lol
Save the Last Dance and I Know What You Did Last Summer for movie ideas #bingers
I thought he was definitely high.
IMDb Doesn’t even list Bobby’s character or the voice who did it
@@bunnylover68 wikipedia has it, and i recognize pauly shore’s voice it’s very distinctive
It's "The Weasel' 💖 but Pauly Shore is dead. 😂

AHHHH the way I screamed when I saw this in my subscription box, this is my favourite Disney movie I’m so happy to see you react to it!!!!
#bingers Orphan - A semi horror movie about a girl who gets adopted but she's not who she says she is
My parents had a water bed and several cats which means roughly a week after they bought it, they had a bed-sized bedroom pool.
I love how instead of laughing at times u say it’s hilarious
Tevin Campbell literally slayed power line

But also the Elton John movie is great.
@@marianne5055 yeah, I loved it also. I have loved him & his music since I was a little girl in elementary school in kindergarten.
That's was the 70's. My best friend carried me to see him in concert a couple years back. That was one off my "Bucket List".
He’s got the whole world in his hands, he’s got the whole wide world in his hands…
Omg i haven't seen Rocket man in forever! That should be fun
Your energy is literally the energy I have watching my fav musical films. Feel like a kid at how excited I get when my fav songs come on 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What I love with this movie is that its flexible.
It lets teens AND parents relate while just being fun for lil ones. Honestly super underrated.
26:39 “they in middle school bro.. calm down. He ain’t looking for no wife” 😂🤣
Honestly Billy is just too damn funny 😂 Like dang I'm laughing at every other scene
6:15 Your excitement for this part is contagious. It got me hyped!
20:12 A cousin of mine owned a waterbed as a kid. To be honest, it's fun for a little while but it was hard to move around on.
13:05 was a reference to Michael Jackson, who had a single studded glove he liked to wear
the voice of the principal is wallace shawn. that man has been in everything!
Teacher here! 👩🏫 I wish my students put on cool Powerline concerts in the auditorium. Lol.
You right about that Moonwalk, clean AF! I used to rewind that part over and over 😂 And all the songs in thisovie are bops, even Lester's possum park.
After today...(starts singing)
Listening to Billy bopping to the songs
Fun fact Idina Menzel's second husband Aaron Lohr does the singing voice for Max. Also this film is directed by Kevin Lima who directed Enchanted. Yeah let that sink in.
#Bingers CAN YOU PLS DO “ARE WE THERE YET?” NEXT? PLSS!!!
Yes plz!!!!
YESSS
A MILLION TIMES YES
No but the best thing about this movie is who ever watched it the most memorable line that we all come together to say is “yo Stacy talk to me, talk to me, talk to me baby”
Legit in person whenever someone says their name is Stacey this is the first thing I think of😂 defined a whole group of people and I’m proud to be part of it
This movie deadass makes my “daddy issues” shine through🤣
12:20 🤣🤣🤣
Bruh I cracked up so hard.
A goofy movie will always be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Billy: “There’s a lot of pretty girls out here with stank attitudes, stank personalities, don’t get caught up in the looks. Not if u lookin’ for a wife.”
Me: Ain’t that the truth? I wish somebody said those exact words to me when I was in high school
13:06 Oh, that's not what you think it is, Billy. The glove is sparkly. As in "The One-Gloved Wonder," Michael Jackson. They tried to get him to voice Powerline, but he was unavailable at the time. He was also heavy inspiration for Powerline's design and vocal/performing style.
Billie: 🗣“Shot out to all the shorties out there who know how to give that HeYuckYuck ”
Me: 😂🤣😂 Oh God How did I know he was going to say that 😂🤣😂🤣
I’m sure they are really funny. But that job is really thankless because it’s not for everybody. My patience isn’t where it needs to be 😂
@@BillyBinges I completely understand don't worry lol
Me being a preschool teacher breaking the rules watching this as my kids nap
22:40
"HEY, THE CAR!
what? Now you wanna drive too?"
LOL
The one question that ever bothered me about this movie was how the hell does that car still function. Lmao
I’m a second grade teacher and I’m here for all the love and appreciation Billy! Love all your movie commentaries and reactions 😊
you killing me, dancing to max & goofy singing😭😅 u a fool. This was my shit growing up. Fun watching this reaction. I aint seen it in a while
I remember the possum scene scared me as a child 😂 It still kinda does.

This is absolutely one of my all time FAVORITE movies and the soundtrack stays on rotation. So glad you reviewed it!
Used to be my Dad's "co-pilot" on family trips growing up, so used a map, but mostly MapQuest back when I was growing up lol
You really unlocked something when you mentioned map quest. Those memories were buried deep.🤣🤣🤣
@@berrycharm 🤣😂🤣 yo, MapQuest was the ONLY one in my house for a while. Til we got our first cell phones with nav built in. lol
I still keep a map in my trunk just in case but I grew up with Mapquest… printing out 3 pages of directions… and then you were expected to read them while driving…
#bingers Eurotrip, The Birdcage, The Labyrinth, Emperor’s New Groove
I watched when it came out and let me tell you the excitement I had when I saw the notification of the video and saw you did this movie. It's MY FAVORITE!!! I agree the songs are 🔥. Thanks for doing this movie.
I’ve always been on Goofy’s side because I see a reflection of my mother. Always so kind and silly✨
20:25 I had a waterbed!!! But I had one in 2013, and I'm quite a bit younger than you might think lol
Lmao who else finds enjoyment when he sings along. Embrace them vocals
The fact that u're so hyped for this movie makes it so much better.✊🏾😆📣
14:56 nah fam, I'm embarrassing to my parents!😂 My family blames my dad, I get it from him and most times we dance on commercial breaks just to get on my moms' nerves.🤪🤣
I think he's like a freshman in high school and the older looking kids are seniors, but don't quote me lmao
i would have guessed sophomore! been there long enough to make connections and get to know the dynamics of the school, but definitely no where near a senior. that was always my take!
I'M SO HAPPY YOU WATCHED THIS!!!!! I actually screamed when I saw it pop up on my home page.
max not appreciating his dad honestly makes me so angry. my dad died when i was sixteen and he didn’t get to see me graduate high school and won’t be apart of the huge milestones in my life. so seeing him be so pressed about his dad wanting to spend time with him infuriates me.
You ever have that random thought or quote that reoccurs randomly at different points throughout your life for literally no reason at all.
Mine is
"Yo, Stacey! Talk to me, Talk to me, Talk to me. Baby!"
Been that way for 15 years lmao 😂
