I'm 45 and single, having my ex as roomate (no "benefits" at all) and I hate the situation soooo much but at the same time rent it's so expensive and I have the car and credit card payments and I feel like I'm stuck and when I'm home I'm just in my room, I'm hating everything right now, I feel desperate and hopeless
I think I enjoy professional relationships more than ordinary relationships. I don’t feel like I have to pay for a friend experience or a family experience. That’s just too much for me, but that’s just me remember we are paying for the space. Nothing else should matter. It feels so cringe to me that I have to pay to live and cuddle somebody.
I'm having a roommate for the 2nd year in a row and dreading it lol. Fortunately I got in really well with my roommate last year and is still a great friend, however the other 3 people I shared with we just didn't get on. Really praying I'll actually get on with my flatmates this year lol. Also one thing I learned is no matter how much ye get on you're still sharing a room with this person, which isn't ideal for a long period. I really hoped this year i would get a single/double room but it was either accept the offer or possibly be homeless/searching for ages
I really need to talk to my roomie about noises because I can't sleep .. And how should talk to her about keeping fan on .. because she gets cold and I need fan sound to sleep peacefully and I on my side of fan but I does cool her side too ?? What should I do about that ??
Hmmm maybe you could find a compromise? Explain to her the situation and see if she could put on a few more layers when she sleeps? Or maybe try finding a fan sound on UA-cam and listening to that before bed!😊
@@alexandrakleinertmy roommate keeps calling her crush every time and keeps talking too loud. I don’t mind it before but now it’s really disturbing and it’s getting on my nerves. How do I tell her?
Oh my gosh! Get out of the F bathroom!! Three girls to one bathroom and we have one roommate who constantly commandeers the bathroom for at least an hour or more when taking a shower. Of course this happens either late at night or early in the morning when people also want to grab a shower or worse, people need to go to the bathroom!! Soooo F frustrating!! Let’s also talk about roommates who never buy shared supplies like paper towels, trash bags, plastic wrap, etc. Don’t use those supplies if you’re not going to help buy more!! Nobody has the money to be paying for you too! If we had that kind of money, we wouldn’t be renting and dimming with others! Pay your own way and do your part! Also, don’t hog the whole Dmnd refrigerator and kitchen!!
@@alexandrakleinertI just want to pay my bills and be cordial but not be friends. I have my own friends I don’t want to add to that. I just want us to be cordial and pay our bills. I’m an introvert and love to be to myself in my room.
@@butterflyhippie I understand you, 100% I'm the same way, however it's good to get to know the person you're living with. Being aware of who they are is good, no one wants to live with a complete stranger. So dont isolate too much. Take the last piece advice of this video to heart
This is a very helpful vid because I am going away for 6 weeks to stay at campus so like 1 month... Yeah a bunch of high schoolers from different High Schools Ex: American falls,ID and Pocatello,ID
Watch tv together every Tuesday ?! Ahh no thanks, that sounds like hell. I came on here to find out how to avoid my annoying housemate not how to become friends. She wants to be my friend but she’s not, she’s renting a room. People are annoying.
Thanks for watching💕 What’s your roommate situation??

@@alexandrakleinert okay thanks tho .. I'll try that
White noise machine or a humidifer since they both make a noise that's easy to sleep to and wont make each other cold

Damn i tried all of this!! Nothing seems to work, should I move out??
Yes if you can
If you feel it’s affecting your mental health, it could be time to part ways and do what’s best for you :)
I'm curious why can't there be roomates that keep to themselves?
So many different personalities, makes it hard! Try to find some common ground, even though it can be hard!
