- The Ford Fiesta ST proves big things come in small packages and for not a whole lot of cash. Under the hood is a 1.6L turbocharged inline-4 that produces 197HP & mated to a slick shifting 6-speed manual transmission. It's exterior features a unique front fascia, wheels, spoiler and rear bumper. On the inside you will have a ton of space, and the right setup to enjoy some curvy roads. What everyone wants in the U.S. is SUV's and Trucks. Only the Mustang will prevail, under the Ford nameplate. VERY SAD! I have a 2018 Focus ST2 and I LOVE it!
Robert Long the mustang is fairly popular over here in the UK. Surprisingly most people go for the V8 GT. I love the Focus ST. You’ll love the new MK4 ST. It has the mustang 2.3 engine with 280hp and it sounds awesome

They cut the car for a reason. People weren't buying it, or at-least enough for them to keep it around. They weighed the cost of cutting the car, and it was worth it to them. Just because their existing customer base calls them and says they want it doesn't mean it'll happen. Its sad, but true.
You'd have better chances convincing people to not buy SUV's and move to hatches, then they'd have a reason to sell hatches again.
I'm sure they'll bring back hot hatches eventually, and even if ford doesn't, we're getting the Audi one soon, plus there is still other companies selling them. There is clearly a demand in the market. For ford, these cars just weren't selling as good as the competition, so they cut the weakest links.

Best car that doesn't break the bank. Got my 19 last year. Still love driving it everyday! When warranty is over. I'll be throwing in a hybrid turbo or big turbo.
I bought my 2014 Fiesta ST2 new, left it completely stock, and had it for 3 years. Loved the car! I also looked at the Focus ST but the Fiesta ST is just more fun to drive. Power to weight ratio is similar since the Fiesta is about 500 lbs lighter. The power was underrated from Ford and they actual have 210+ hp stock and even more torque (at 93 octane). They are super rare in my area, and at the time each dealership would only get 1 in stock for the entire year. I eventually traded it in for a Mustang GT but I still miss that little go kart. 😊

I'm so glad you got around to this vehicle. I bought a Fiesta ST brand new and had the dealership put Mountunes MP215 tune and intake on which retained the factory warranty. Made it one notch "better." Still regretting get rid of it.

Love my fiesta st. 2019 and I've put over 27k miles on it so far. Also its got a good aftermarket market for parts and easy to work on for the most part

Unless I’m mistaken the fiesta is one of the best selling cars here in the uk, maybe even the top selling and it’s been around forever. A friend of mine has owned 3 over the last 20 years or so

Joe. Joe. Joe. Love your channel, but when you start dropping Star Wars lingo, you elevate the channel even more. Well played, Sir. A couple things I'll add to your review of the FiST is that there are so many good mods for the FiST. I just added a Boomba Racing short shift throw, shifter plate, metal shifter bushings, and a Ford Performance shifter knob to my 2019 FiST. The throws are now amazingly short! It's like driving a new, new car. Thanks for your previous FiST reviews. They helped get me get onboard with this car. Maybe someday I'll do a review of my hot hatch. Last item to mention is that I also put in an oil catch can to help with blow-bye. Highly recommend it on newer small engine turbos. Peace.

Ford brought the Fiesta back to the states in 2011 but the ST came out in 2014. I'm on my second Fiesta ST and it's one of the last...2019 with all the options and it is a blast to drive weather it's your daily driver or your track car.

197 HP and mated to a six speed with minimum weight? $12K? Worth every penny. Great review.
Should be about $7K tops. A new one was about $18K (actual transaction price) plus it is a 6 year old car = ~7K. For $12K it should be 2 years old, that is, 2018 with no more than 20K miles.

Joe Raiti convinced me to get a Fiesta ST in a previous FiST video. Mine is a 2019 which has Sync 3, backup camera, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto........ great value for the price! This car more than any other makes 50 mph feel like 100 mph hahaha. It's a blast!

This car isn’t just fun it’s hilarious. It’s weird how this FWD steps out a little. I will say, my kids hated the back seat because they slid around so much (5 and 10 at the time) on twisty roads.
Also note: 16+ come with apple carplay, 18+ have reverse cam. Pretty good amount of tech, bells and whistles for the price. Plus not expensive to make faster than a focus ST.
Another great review. Luckily in the UK we still have Fiesta, Focus St although no more Rs Focus 2020 due to emissions. I can for the life of me understand why Ford of America chose to remove these cars from their line up. I realise that we in the UK assume Americans all like BIG cars, but they surely aren't as much fun. Shame on Ford America for taking away the pleasure of these cars!! Well done to you again for a great review and I also would definitely recommend buying a Fiesta, I teach my learners to drive in them. Keep the videos coming. Helping in quarantine here in the UK. 👍

Europe and Australia are still selling the Ford Fiesta ST. These have 1.5 litre engines with only three cylinders but 197 horsepower and 290 newton metres of torque. 0-100 takes 6.6 seconds and has a 6-speed manual gearbox only.
The ST is a hellova lil car to drive. It does what it does very well for what it is.. I too had a better time driving the Fiesta ST over the Focus ST ... would be great to daily on these twisty PNW mountain roads and canyons! RR you were having waaaayyyy too much fun with this one 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have an SE sedan with a Holly cold intake on it non turbo...on the back roads in PA it's like a go kart it asks you to get more into it and push it.

They're fast cars for what they are, 1.6L engine cars with a top speed of over 140 MPH - STOCK!
It has a six speed manual, and that's about it!

Ford technically didn’t give up as the new focus st and fiesta st are amazing! They just wont sell them in the USA. But Europe and Asian reviews say its one of the best set of cars they made and the interior quality and plastic is near to the levels of Volkswagen, yet the new suvs and crossovers aren’t as on par unfortunately. Odd how they made their “cheap” cars feel better than the more expensive ones when the last generation you stepped in an escape and the quality was miles different than the fiesta and focus.
@@fluffysharkdatazz9460 honestly the difference in quality aso depends on where the car is built. My Fiesta ST200 (a 3door only in the EU) has a better interior finish than the USDM fiesta's, despite it being the 'same' interior. Ands every European ST comes with Recaro seats as standard.
Neo VeNoM ahh true. True. They always cheap out a bit over here for some reason. My German friends thought the USA spec focus had cheaper back seat and looser plastics. I’m sure though if they ever did grace us with the update it would at the very least be a step up rather than a step down since the compact segment is super competitive with how much they need to appeal while suvs and crossovers are so abundant they don’t necessarily have to.

I have a 2016 one. anyone looking to get one I recommend getting one with sync 3 (2016+) because it comes with android auto/apple car play. also, be ready for brake dust. brake dust everywhere. however, its one of the best drivers cars in that price range. very fun

First year for the return of the Fiesta was 2011. 2014 was when it got a facelift and the ST model was added. The Fiesta never got the ST option packages like the Focus did. Recaros were a stand-alone option and worth every single penny.

That blank space on the dash is where the european version had a light bar but was eliminated because of reflections in the glass. At least that is what I read somewhere.

I owned a normal 2011 Fiesta, was looking to upgrade to the ST. But after driving the Veloster R-Spec I knew the VT was my next car. I liked the VT was wider and lower. I could touch the passenger door without stretching in the Fiesta.

But I will tell you I drive the car and it's a blast man the bang for the buck it's real guys cant go wrong in my opinion! This car would be more amazing if ford just did an awd version. Living in a winter climate it would have been a great buy.

@@RaitisRides I've got a co-worker with a focus st, I was really more going towards the elantra gt n line manual, but a used mustang manual ecoboost seems more appealing now, I would just lose the panoramic sunroof
I was so close to buying one of these new in 2014. Went with a 500 Abarth instead.

I had a 2013 500 Abarth for almost 5 years and had so many problems. I still loved that car but recently traded it in for a 2017 fiesta st and honestly couldn’t be happier. Again the Abarth was great despite everything that went wrong. I’ll never trash talk that car at all but the fiesta has exceeded my expectations in every way.
These cars are everywhere in the UK. Is the new Mazda 2 still built on the same platform?

Ford made a huge mistake eliminating most of their car lineup. It was too much too soon. Sure everything will probably go electric but that will take many years before all cars need to be plugged in. There isn't enough charging stations anyhow. This is the USA where it has taken lots of us 20 years to get sufficient broadband access. Do you think they will deploy plenty of charging stations any time soon?
