Not just you Adam, music has never been an outlet for my anxiety or PTSD until I found Home Free. The harmonies or tones i don't know what it is but these guys can pick me up out of the lowest of lows, or soothe the worst anxieties
You are absolutely right. These guys always put a smile on your face and make you forget about everyday life. They are the best!

That's when paying attention to the lyrics helps. A mortally wounded soldier is questioning the logic of war as he says farewell to his comrades. He's half dead. Part ghost. Get it now?

Welcome back! You've been missed. Home Free has the innate ability to balance me too! They take me to a very happy place even with a song as solemn as this. This is a beautiful tribute and the power in the breathy, gentle tones is phenomenal. They've once again given us a message that is very relevant today. Their patriotism and approach to sensitive social issues are to be commended. They've again opened up a conversation across the globe. Great reaction!
It's a well-known fact within the Home Free fandom that their music is healing and soothing, so you are most definitely not alone. I actually use their music for mediation because the harmonies help both the mind and the heart to open up. The range from low to high helps low vibrational energies such as guilt, shame and blame are automatically moved up the vibrational scale towards peace, unconditional love and appreciation. It's a real thing. If we let it, of course. 🥰❤️🙏💃

I have always loved this song by Dire Straits but think Home Free did an excellent version of this song. Tim's natural bass was awesome, also Chance's solos & so were all the guys doing 5 part harmonies. I agree Tim's voice is super calming.

Phenomenal Harmonies and beautiful cinematography! Hauntingly gorgeous, love how they appear "see through" like ghosts / spirits. In honor of Veterans Day here in the US. Original by Dire Straits written by Mark Knopfler in honor of the lives lost during the War of the Falkland Islands. Thank you for reacting to this one! Yes, love Tim and his deep bass notes, so very talented and I love the contrast between him and Austin's high tenor notes. Great seeing Adam harmonizing. Yes Tim's voice is so calming, they are like ministers of music to me and Home Free brings healing to me with Evey single song/ video! Welcome back! This is an amazing video. And yes, I also find Tim's voice soothing - well, except when he makes the floor shake. LOL! I had a chance to see them LIVE about 3 weeks ago (for the first time). It was even better than I was expecting. They did "Ring of Fire" as an encore & when Tim hit that last low note, I could feel the florr vibrate! (I was standing.) And it made my chest hurt! Love these guys! And love your reactions.

Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥
Glad to see you back. By coincidence, Home Free was filming a new video today. Rob posted a selfie from Wyoming this morning at the film site. After Brothers in Arms, you might need an uplifting fun one. Home Free's Try Everything was Chance's first video or VoicePlay has Just Sing in which Tim Foust appears, plus Austin Brown and Tim recently sang My Maria which is the polar opposite of Brothers in Arms.
I remember the 1985 Dire Straights hit but Home Free definitely played homage to the original.
Tim and Chance should share leads more often.

It will be 6 years in October (2023) that my Husband has passed...Two Purple 💜 and yet no one, unless they served with Him would know. He was the most honest and Humble person you would ever have the Privilege to meet. So glad to see you back! It’s not just you with the anxiety thing. This is my theory: one of the reasons cats purr is to soothe themselves, and there’s been some research to show it affects humans the same way. I think a really good low bass has a lot of the same vibration and rumble and that’s what makes it relax away the worries.
Unless you’re like me and bass hurts your ears. I can listen to it on my phone with no problem, but I think headphones would hurt my ears.
@@ShyAnn291 I think it would probably have just as much effect on anxiety without headphones. There are some great ASMR videos of cats purring that I listen to without headphones and they're so soothing.

He is not invisible. He is dying. Mark Knopfler wrote this song after seeing BBC coverage of the Falkland war. A soldier lay dying saying goodbye to his brothers in arms. Before he dies, he looks at the reporter and comments on the follies of war.

I'm sure that when I hear a man's voice especially ike Tim's very soothing very low and sexy voice, it makes me feel completely different than what a man would feel. But I will tell you that for me Tim's voice takes away more than anxiety, in many ways it makes me feel good.
