Not just you Adam, music has never been an outlet for my anxiety or PTSD until I found Home Free. The harmonies or tones i don't know what it is but these guys can pick me up out of the lowest of lows, or soothe the worst anxieties
"Is he invisible?" That's when paying attention to the lyrics helps. A mortally wounded soldier is questioning the logic of war as he says farewell to his comrades. He's half dead. Part ghost. Get it now?
Welcome back! You've been missed. Home Free has the innate ability to balance me too! They take me to a very happy place even with a song as solemn as this. This is a beautiful tribute and the power in the breathy, gentle tones is phenomenal. They've once again given us a message that is very relevant today. Their patriotism and approach to sensitive social issues are to be commended. They've again opened up a conversation across the globe. Great reaction!
Phenomenal Harmonies and beautiful cinematography! Hauntingly gorgeous, love how they appear "see through" like ghosts / spirits. In honor of Veterans Day here in the US. Original by Dire Straits written by Mark Knopfler in honor of the lives lost during the War of the Falkland Islands. Thank you for reacting to this one! Yes, love Tim and his deep bass notes, so very talented and I love the contrast between him and Austin's high tenor notes. Great seeing Adam harmonizing. Yes Tim's voice is so calming, they are like ministers of music to me and Home Free brings healing to me with Evey single song/ video! I will be seeing them for the first time in concert Dec 4th, can't hardly wait and am so excited!❤️🍟
I have always loved this song by Dire Straits but think Home Free did an excellent version of this song. Tim's natural bass was awesome, also Chance's solos & so were all the guys doing 5 part harmonies. I agree Tim's voice is super calming.
It's a well-known fact within the Home Free fandom that their music is healing and soothing, so you are most definitely not alone. I actually use their music for mediation because the harmonies help both the mind and the heart to open up. The range from low to high helps low vibrational energies such as guilt, shame and blame are automatically moved up the vibrational scale towards peace, unconditional love and appreciation. It's a real thing. If we let it, of course. 🥰❤️🙏💃 Thanks for the reaction. 🥰🙏
Home Free did an amazing job with this song. Tim and Chance brought the haunting and ghostly feelings to the song. Austin, Rob and Adam held the harmonies together through the whole song. Thanks so much for reacting to this heartfelt song. Glad you are back.
Adam! Brother, you half-assed this review. This is arguably one of their best covers EVER and you weren’t even paying attention to it for half the song. I love your honest and enthusiastic reviews, but you weren’t ready for this one. Wish you could have made your comeback on another video. Welcome back!
Welcome back! This is an amazing video. And yes, I also find Tim's voice soothing - well, except when he makes the floor shake. LOL! I had a chance to see them LIVE about 3 weeks ago (for the first time). It was even better than I was expecting. They did "Ring of Fire" as an encore & when Tim hit that last low note, I could feel the florr vibrate! (I was standing.) And it made my chest hurt! Love these guys! And love your reactions.
WOW that’s amazing. They never let us down. Very sad and so beautiful. As singer’s they are all so good and strong. And Chance’s voice blows me away, it’s absolutely beautiful.
You’re back!!! Thought you gave up on us Home Fries! You have done a lot of their fun ones but their vocal abilities really shine in the series ones. Their vocals are the best around , not a single weak link! ….
Yes I realize this ensemble cast of PHENOMENAL VOICES did not come together right off the start - some 15 plus years ago ... but they did arrive at PERFECTION with this group of killer vocal talents - HOME FREE is a Home Run ! I am a FRY and you can't DENY they're Great ! GBjj
Such a genius touch to show the silhouette of the fellas in front of the window. I know some see it as a "ghost"y reference but it strikes me as a reflection of the POW/MIA flag. We'll never know just how many of those met the same fate as the soldier of this song. 😥
Welcome back…🥰…Have always loved Dire Straits and this song… I LOVE Home Frees version… how haunting… I find Home Free stress/ calm relieving … how talented are all of these guys… Thankyou…
Ethereal. Haunting. Gut wrenching. Soul stirring. Angelic. The only thing missing was the seraphic choir backing them up. Excuse me while I track down my soul and stuff it back into my body...
This is stunning! Loved this. Loved Tim’s low notes. Loved the echoes. Loved the black and white film. Tim and Chance looked ghost like in the windows. It’s a great rendition of the Dire Straits song. Both are incredible. Loved your reaction Adam! You’re not the only one who feels soothed and calm after listening to Tim and Home Free. This sounds like an organ in a church doesn’t it? So good.
Glad to see you back. By coincidence, Home Free was filming a new video today. Rob posted a selfie from Wyoming this morning at the film site. After Brothers in Arms, you might need an uplifting fun one. Home Free's Try Everything was Chance's first video or VoicePlay has Just Sing in which Tim Foust appears, plus Austin Brown and Tim recently sang My Maria which is the polar opposite of Brothers in Arms.
Welcome back. You've been gone what seems like FOREVER!!! I was worried about you and a few others told me you were out for a while , which I had forgotten. Welcome back!!!! What a song to start off with can you say POWERFUL!!!

So glad to see you back! It’s not just you with the anxiety thing. This is my theory: one of the reasons cats purr is to soothe themselves, and there’s been some research to show it affects humans the same way. I think a really good low bass has a lot of the same vibration and rumble and that’s what makes it relax away the worries.
@@ShyAnn291 I think it would probably have just as much effect on anxiety without headphones. There are some great ASMR videos of cats purring that I listen to without headphones and they're so soothing.
Welcome back! Check out their cover of Bless The Broken Road....then check out Austin and Tim singing My Maria....its on Austin's channel! You will be amazed!
🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸 I'm so happy that you're finally back safe and smiling. Sorry you didn't show the beginning of the video because it's truly a work of art in it's entirety. My next request would be 'Dreamer' 'Yours' and 'All on me'
I remember the 1985 Dire Straights hit but Home Free definitely played homage to the original. Tim and Chance should share leads more often. You missed the beginning of the video.
Welcome back! I missed you and your great smile! Check out Austin Brown’s channel (the guy with the great head of hair), he’s released a few new covers! He did “My Maria” (by Brooks & Dunn) with bass man, Tim Foust! Please check them out! Thanks!
Welcome back! Looks like someone's been working out! lol Let's talk about this song...holy crap! Those harmonies are extremely haunting and that bass...well...you heard it. These boys are truly amazing at what they do. 🙏
It will be 6 years in October (2023) that my Husband has passed...Two Purple 💜 and yet no one, unless they served with Him would know. He was the most honest and Humble person you would ever have the Privilege to meet. He shed many a tear for those that went before Him, and wanted no one to shed one for Him....May His Brothers that went with and before Him know that Their actions were not forgotten and for nothing...🇺🇸 I miss you so ❣️
This was written by Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits during the Falklands war but not released for a few years and included on the album of the same name.
He gives me tingles 🙃🥰‼️, he talks this was too ….. one Bass guy !!! But, now go to Austin Brown’s channel……& do “MY MARIA”…..Austin, Tim & friends ….their friend Chris Chatham sings & plays acoustic……WOW…‼️🔥‼️🥰…..They are pure AWESOMENESS ❤️‼️🥰🔥. Tim will surprise you ‼️🔥‼️ Oh, WELCOME BACK 🥰🔥‼️👍
He is not invisible. He is dying. Mark Knopfler wrote this song after seeing BBC coverage of the Falkland war. A soldier lay dying saying goodbye to his brothers in arms. Before he dies, he looks at the reporter and comments on the follies of war.
If you'd like to hear Tim at his deepest basses, you need to check out Peter Hollins and Tim Foust (Home Free Bass) sing "Misty Mountain" it is a hauntingly beautiful song. I also recommend and request you react to 'Blue Ain't Your Color". It is one of my favorite Home Free songs as well as "In The Blood". Both of theselast two are covers.

Hey, dude - welcome back! Both Voice Play and Geoff Castellucci have released some fabulous songs over the last few weeks. VP: Hoist the Colours, Halo, Friends on the Other Side. Geoff: House of the Rising Sun, Monster Mash.

You are absolutely right. These guys always put a smile on your face and make you forget about everyday life. They are the best!
Beautiful. Tim hitting those low notes just soothes the soul.
1:30 - Yeah, especially in this song. Soooo much pain behind these words, but he makes it ok to feel because you know you'll make it through.

I agree with you; his voice is like a balsam to your ears and your soul! Just like Chance’s voice is smooth and calming. Wonderful reaction!

not just you Adam Tim, Chance oh heck Home Free as the Glorious unit is the best tonic to a wounded soul.
Welcome back Adam. Home Free killed it!
Powerful. Home Free just can't miss on a song. Cover upgrades!
Country music in particular is very much about the storytelling. The lyrics almost always tell a story.
Tim is portraying the ghost of a Soldier who died in battle, that's why he is translucent....very heart filled, soul wrenching song ❤️❤️

But yet Tim can hit such beautiful high notes. I'm with you, they sooth my soul. They always comfort me, make me feel so inspired.

Home Free did it again, this was beyond great!
I either laugh, smile or get super relaxed most of the time. Or on occasion get a little teary. Welcome Back BTW
His voice is very peaceful.
I use Home Free music every night to help with anxiety so I can go to sleep. Love Tim's low singing on this one.

Mark Knopler from Dire Straits wrote this for the fallen British soldiers in the Falklands war. But it is well written and applies more universally.
