Key Activities of any business should be identified within a Business Model Canvas. Professionally, a BMC shouldn't be treated as "one and done" but rather continue to drive business decisions. I've used it to score and prioritize development projects based on how much business value they'll deliver, for example. So, I disagree with you on their utility.
Now, once you've created a system with SOPs the real question becomes how do you build them into technology systems so that they're formulaic and generate consistent quality? Effectively, how do you TEMPLATE them throughout all of your business operations' practices?
To do this, you need a technology-based solution to implement your systems, right? So what software does this with the greatest efficiency and effectiveness for small businesses?
I feel like this area needs further exploration.
