Aside from how realistic a game like this can be, I think both games still have the same weaknesses. Both games still have problems with residents and vehicles crashing into each other. CS2 may have become slightly better than CS1, but I personally find CS1 more realistic than CS2 because of the possibilities offered by the many mods and assets.
Apart from the fact that CS2 still needs too many resources in "vanilla" than CS1 with all its assets and mods, I still favor CS1 as my favorite game. A great video.
Am I missing something? A simple 3d model of a tram that articulates, goes the same speed and has no openable doors, is that the point? If one at least had openable doors or something, it would be a difference.
I really liked the tram stops (in C:S 1). Did you make it or can it be downloaded? If the latter, how should I search? Thanks
Interesting video! Even without mods, it's clear that CS2 has a lot of potential for those with monster computers, the reflection on the tram windows for instace.
Yeah it has so much potential to be a good game but not enough time but it can be the best sequel ever if we get real mod support and Devs just re bake the cake then we get a best sequel we ever had.
I still waiting for CS2 performance fix before buying it. I spent a huge chunk of money to upgrade my pc for this game and it still lagged.
you know it's not fair to compare cities skylines 2 to cities skyline 1 cause it don't have it's real mod support yet give this game some time to have it then the real battle begins.
Every one of these comparison videos has the same Cities 2 apologists narrative of “it’s not fair to compare because of X.” Comparisons do not need to adhere to any specific standards. You can quite literally compare apples to oranges.
These comparisons are for entertainment. It’s not a personal slight against your fandom or Colossal/Paradox. What it highlights is the maturity of a heavily supported game to the state of a brand new platform. You apologists keep taking personal offense to these comparison videos; ever the cynics. No one ever considers taking the optimistic approach. Cities 2 may not be able to compete with a nearly decade old game with 150 mods and thousands of assets, but the fact that it still looks amazing is promising for what the future holds.
Relax, and don’t burden every content creator that produces these kinds of videos with this same, regurgitated comment of “fairness.” There’s no such thing as a fair or unfair comparison. A comparison is simply that; comparing two like or unlike things. It’s this sort of vitriolic criticism that causes creators to avoid making these sorts of videos, and I for one do not want to see you ruin it for the rest of the class. Some of us can just enjoy this content without being offended, appreciating both things for what they are, both individually and together.

@@Darknova591 it’s not defensiveness. I don’t take it personally; I didn’t develop the games. Just pointing out how the statement “it’s not fair to compare” is itself based on a fallacy.
@@Silverjerk if you know it's not personal why comment you just wasting my time on this nonsense all i'm saying it's not fair to compare CS2 to CS1 cause it's odvious who the winner is CS1 make CS2 a inferior version of it orginal which it's sad but this game can impove once the consoles come to play soon.
@@Darknova591 Because that's why the comments section is here. If you want to share your opinion, you should be prepared for others to share their own. If you didn't want to waste your time, why engage with the community at all? I understood your point; you don't need to explain the logic.
My issue is that the logic is flawed. You can quite literally compare any two things. Fairness is subjective. You're effectively telling this content creator "this content is bad and I don't agree with what you're doing." This discourages this very sort of content in the future, content users like myself enjoy.
If you want to discuss the differences, do so objectively and without insulting the person that put a lot of time and energy into producing the free content for you.
The cities skylines 2 system is awful, with all it's track spiders...
yeah cities skylines 1 just make CS2 inferior.
