I'll probably cop a load of noise for this, but I am so glad to see CH doing this kind of motoring journalism again. As much as i love TG it never quite works the way it did and to me this kind of thing and the previous Tuthill videos are far better. Keep it up all of you. The chemistry s great
Ah, was so happy thinking I'd be getting my full fat Friday fix! Not complaining too much though, that was lovely. No reason you can't do more stuff like that again eh? We'd all bloody love to see Neil Clifford do a crash course at the Chris Harris school of driving for sure! Put the other guys in a second car and you've got guaranteed gold 😁
So missing the Podcast guys :( Honestly something I have looked forward to every Friday since you started… We need it back ASAP for our mental health :)
Straight from the Collecting Addicts podcast to this as a new upload notification. Monkey back in the hot seat again with Neil Clifford beside him- Perfection.
Very enjoyable to watch. While watching I had a sad realization. These cars are so capable I would venture to guess at least 50% of these cars bought, if not more, won’t be driven on the ragged edge as they’re made to be. Thank you Chris for showing us how they’re meant to be driven and enjoyed!
The only people that CAN buy these cars are hyper rich people that won’t take these cars on the track. When they try and drive them on the street they’ll realize how harsh the ride is so they won’t drive them. They’ll sit in peoples’ collections and that’s it.
Neil handled that better than most. If you’ve ever ridden with someone at Chris’s level behind the wheel of a fast car, it’s an experience you NEVER forget. Not to mention the stratospheric limits of a GT3 RS’s grip and cornering speeds. 🤤 🙌 Great video. Love any CH content. 🍻 ❤️ -longtime fan from “across the pond”
I keep coming back to this. It's so entertaining. If you listen to the podcast you'll know why. It's fascinating to see Neil's reaction to what's actually possible. He's driven so many cars, and Chris could take him out in them to show him what they're capable of. Be a damn good UA-cam series. These two are bloody good together.
Great to hear Chris talk in those whispered tones like he did back in the day of Chris and Neil around Yas Marina in a P1 or an M6 Vs Merc. Thanks for the content Chris and The two Neil’s. Free content!!! Thank you.
I just love seeing an entertaining journo who can actually pedal a car do his thing. Love this channel, and while i love seeing Chris launch cars sideways and melt bitumen and expensive tyres, its magic watching him actually focus and really nail a lap. Love it. 👌🏼✌🏼🇦🇺
Chris your enthusiasm is fantastic, your journalism style reminds me of my kids at Christmas. I’d love to be a big kid at Christmas being a passenger and hurtled about by you preferably in the GT3!! Maybe one day, we can dream!!
Thanks for doing that at Combe. Was there for the Classic Festival last weekend so now know how it should be driven 😂. Still my boys did well in their TR3 and now GT is subbing for Chris at Spa. It’s a small world!
So So good! I love these things so much! As a Porsche owner...the dream is that one day we will get the chance to take one of these for a rip on the track :)
Love that intro, and i use it everyday when i have someone in my car or my semi (Lorry) (training) i know 3 people who can't get into a passenger seat unless i am behind the wheel. And i'm not a slow driver. Never scare People in your car. Jokingly or not... Great Vid. Great reaction. Cant wait for the Pod to return 🥰
That was wonderful. It probably doesn't get said enough but Chris, excellent pedalling good sir! We kind on take it for granted that you can make a car dance like that. And having Neil for a lap, what a bonus.
Awesome stuff 👌 I’m nearly 53, I hope I get to fulfill a lifelong wish to own a 911 before I die (too many expensive hobbies), I’ve loved them since the 70’s.
To fully harness the capabilities of this car, one must possess the skills of a race car driver. Straight-line performance can be managed by most, but it requires true talent to master its braking and handling through turns.
I do love the Pontificunts podcast. A bunch of good friends [and Edward], but Neil is the man. Next we need to see you take Manish out in some kind of 90s Ferrari...
Castle Coombe to yourself for a joy ride in The GT3 RS living the dream for sure an epic track and an even better track car off the shelf and the nearly mute button for Neil.
My only track day experience is driving an Ariel Atom around Castle Combe - it was a lot of fun, and I intend to repeat it next year in some 'supercars', but I don't think it'll be in anything this good :)
Not wanting to scare people in cars is genuinely such an excellent thing to hear Monkey say. I’d never really thought of it like that - just assumed that anyone who got in a car with him would know what’s coming. Such a respectful thing to not just say, but mean. Well played, Sir.
If done well could also be an excellent tutorial for those interested in improving their driving. But in an engaging and funny. I would wager it being a massive success.
So why was Randy Pobst quicker round Big Willow in a 991.2 GT3 RS (1:23.67) than in a 992 GT3 RS?(1:24.30) Both had CUP 2R tires. He bested both in a 991 GT2 RS (1:21.08). I suspect most people don't realise aero downforce is proportional to velocity squared. Similar powered cars with similar torque and similar tires particularly those manufactured by Porsche are going to have similar performance. I liked the 992 GT3 RS but I wasn't blown away by it, -technically excellent and reasonably adjustable, it felt somewhat gimmicky for a road car. (I own a 991.2 GT3 RS and have done 5 seasons of Carrera Cup). Felt more like marketing for Porsche rather than an insightful look at the car and how it compared to other Porsche sports cars. The reality is the aero works best on high average speed circuits and is less effective on more technical lower speed circuits. On public roads there is no meaningful difference between something like a 991.2 GT3 RS, 982 GT4 RS, 992 GT3 and 992 GT3 RS - on track the differences come down to the experience of the driver and the type of tires. Pick which you like best, I prefer the 991.2 GT3 RS and 982 GT4 RS - more analogue, more visceral, switches and buttons which you can use without looking, dials rather than displays, more playful and just more fun.
I think everything nowadays, especially in Germany, when talking about sports cars is about Nordschleife times/records. It's the most relevant data in driving focused community (at least I got that feeling) and the most valuable marketing point.
@@institorisinstitoris959 Agreed its become a big part of the marketing exercise, I noticed Porsche delayed the run with the 992 GT3 RS to get optimal weather and optimal track temps and even then it took multiple attempts to get a time they were happy with. I think that works well as a general marketing approach, however to knowledgeable Porsche owners its a bit irrelevant. More so for those with a lot of track time or motorsport experience.
I think it's extremely classy that Chris feels that scaring someone in a car is a shitty thing to do. Top guy
Unlike the egotistic Misha...
Misha only thinks about himself .. it’s a narcissist
@@ThaDutchDK1989 it?
well, that's a dick thing to say.
you do know that people actually ask Misha to drive their car full-out on the Nordschleife?
Exactly. If you're driving someone (legally responsible for their life!) and they tell you to slow down, you do it.
Save the skidz for the boyzz.
Nobody swears quite as convincingly or effectively as Neil Clifford.
Agreed although, thinking about it, I am going to have to offer Brian Cox’s Logan Roy as being right up there also 😂
Outstanding!
"fuck" - Neil Clifford
Can he outbeat Gordon Ramsey though. Lol😂
Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast.... master class swearing....
I'll probably cop a load of noise for this, but I am so glad to see CH doing this kind of motoring journalism again. As much as i love TG it never quite works the way it did and to me this kind of thing and the previous Tuthill videos are far better. Keep it up all of you. The chemistry s great
We all love Chris Harris On Cars man
Would of loved to have seen you teach Neil over a few days to watch him improve his track day enjoyment.
We want to see that too!
Come on Neil! @@collectingcars give it a try in something slower. Maybe a video on how to make your own car faster?
I think this would make a great short series
This is pure awesomeness. But we need the podcast back ASAP!
It's coming back very soon!
This is great, but no substitute for the Friday morning podcast fix! Hope we get a new instalment soon
They'll be back very soon!
I agree but I can see they need break but please come back real soon.
Strangely whilst the podcast has been on holiday, F1 has been back to being enjoyable.
Coincidence?😅
Ah, was so happy thinking I'd be getting my full fat Friday fix! Not complaining too much though, that was lovely. No reason you can't do more stuff like that again eh? So missing the Podcast guys :( Honestly something I have looked forward to every Friday since you started… We need it back ASAP for our mental health :)
Couldn’t agree more. Checked every Friday and disappointed when it’s not there
They are keep their mental health in check so they can help keep ours in check with quality content when it comes back!
I'm with you on this, there's an emptiness on Friday's that can only be filled by my favourite podcast ☹
It's coming back very soon!
Neil Clifford is simply outstanding, Chris Harris is an absolute legend, what a beautiful combination ❤🔥
Straight from the Collecting Addicts podcast to this as a new upload notification. Monkey back in the hot seat again with Neil Clifford beside him- Perfection.
The rest of the addicts will be back very soon!
Brilliant, more of that sort of thing please 🙏
Incoming!!

Love all the Collecting Addicts guys but Neil is cool as F!
Love that he's telling Chris how to drive.🤣
All I want for Christmas is to be Chris Harris and Neil Clifford's mate. Top tier car journalism, as always.
Neil is such a beautiful soul and a true inspiration
Neil handled that better than most. If you’ve ever ridden with someone at Chris’s level behind the wheel of a fast car, it’s an experience you NEVER forget. Not to mention the stratospheric limits of a GT3 RS’s grip and cornering speeds. 🤤 🙌
Great video. Love any CH content. 🍻 ❤️
-longtime fan from “across the pond”
"I don't think i'll get scared" Famous last words indeed 😂 Brilliant stuff!
It would be a dream come true to spend a week with Chris being taught how to drive that well!
I keep coming back to this. It's so entertaining. If you listen to the podcast you'll know why. It's fascinating to see Neil's reaction to what's actually possible. He's driven so many cars, and Chris could take him out in them to show him what they're capable of. Be a damn good UA-cam series.

How good is this bunch of mates in this podcast! Keep the content coming fellas, it’s brilliant!😎
What a beauty!
And the car as well.
Great to hear Chris talk in those whispered tones like he did back in the day of Chris and Neil around Yas Marina in a P1 or an M6 Vs Merc. Thanks for the content Chris and The two Neil’s. Free content!!! Thank you.
Brilliant 👏 Neil's famous last words: I don't think I'll get scared 😂😂😂
Could not ❤ Chris more xx
Chris Harris = THE 🐐 !!!
I just love seeing an entertaining journo who can actually pedal a car do his thing. Love this channel, and while i love seeing Chris launch cars sideways and melt bitumen and expensive tyres, its magic watching him actually focus and really nail a lap. Love it. 👌🏼✌🏼🇦🇺
That was so fun to watch! Chris Harris rules the car world in general. Great video that brings a big smile to my face:)
Love this kind of video, can't wait for next podcast ❤😊
"mind those tyres ..." brilliant. Enjoyed this fellas ....more of the podcast too please.... 🎉🎉
Love that Neil started backseat driving at 2:15 but quickly thought better of it - wish these videos were longer!
Aww this was awesome, Love you Neil
#bemoreneilclifford
I smiled all the way through that. Lovely stuff
Chris your enthusiasm is fantastic, your journalism style reminds me of my kids at Christmas. I’d love to be a big kid at Christmas being a passenger and hurtled about by you preferably in the GT3!! Maybe one day, we can dream!!
😎😎😎Thanks for coming!
Cheers for not censoring language. Much prefer to just hear how most people talk when they get a hit of adrenaline
flipping magic ! love it, a friendly reminder just how physical, violent, dynamic and punishing this motorsport caper is ... man and machine
I’d absolutely love to be sat next to Chris as he goes full send in a GT3RS, phenomenal 👌🏻
I did a passenger ride with Tiff at Thruxton and its mind blowing how fast a race driver can drive a car.
And how easily he can get it sideways while casually chatting away!
Tiff has supernatural driving skills - but his passengers seem on the brink of disaster at all times. Must have been exciting, to say the least.
Thanks for doing that at Combe. Was there for the Classic Festival last weekend so now know how it should be driven 😂. Still my boys did well in their TR3 and now GT is subbing for Chris at Spa. It’s a small world!
This was lovely, but if there’s no podcast next week, we riot.
LOVE that! Now, more podcasts please...
Neil the people's favourite. Damn right. Cool AF.
So So good! I love these things so much! As a Porsche owner...the dream is that one day we will get the chance to take one of these for a rip on the track :)
Neil is such a legend

Great Vid. Great reaction. Cant wait for the Pod to return 🥰
'My tuna salad is gonna come back' hahahahahhaha.
That’s just lovely! I get that a weekly podcast is a huge commitment for you all. Maybe treat us to them fortnightly if it helps to keep it going?
The Addicts will be back very soon!
I NEEDED this!
Brilliant, Chris for me is the best driver on UA-cam the end
Love these sorts of videos - feels very 'Chris Haris on Cars' from back in the olden days haha.
I'm sure I'm not the only one to say it....but I hope the podcast is back soon!! My Fridays just aren't the same!!!
That was wonderful. It probably doesn't get said enough but Chris, excellent pedalling good sir! We kind on take it for granted that you can make a car dance like that. And having Neil for a lap, what a bonus.
My fav bit "mind those tyres"
😂😂 love the pod and videos, never missed one. This was awesome......'it shouldn't have number plates' 😂😂😂
"That's quite exciting" lol
Neil having a Keeping Up Appearances moment "Mind the tyres", so wanted Chris to reply "Minding the tyres Hyacinth"
Kurt Geiger counter set to Eleven
I’ve missed your Collecting Cars podcast this week
This is wonderful
Does this mean that we have a chance at seeing a video series called Neil Clifford learns High Performance Driving? Please say yes.. 🤞
Where is the collecting addicts podcast?
Very soon! The addicts needed a little break!
Neil , his reaction is always priceless. 😊
Awesome stuff 👌
I’m nearly 53, I hope I get to fulfill a lifelong wish to own a 911 before I die (too many expensive hobbies), I’ve loved them since the 70’s.
I bought a 997 Carrera S two years ago. They're all brilliant. Don't wait.
Bloody marvellous chaps, bloody marvellous... but where is Ep35??? 🤔😉

Wonderful Chris and Neil I did enjoy. Now for your addicts podcast best “car number plates” mine in Germany “B PG 440”
Love Neil's Breitling Aerospace shown at 3:26
Probably the most remarkable street-legal automobile ever made. State of the art.
Neil Clifford getting a racing licence should be a UA-cam series
Castle Coombe to yourself for a joy ride in The GT3 RS living the dream for sure an epic track and an even better track car off the shelf and the nearly mute button for Neil.

Neil speaks well on camera, It would be good to have the guys that do the podcast do a few more videos!
Genuine petrol heads make for a good watch 👍
Pure class !
Sounds like a challenge guys? I think the internet would blow up if you do 😎 Hope you are all enjoying a break, looking forward to your return 🚘
1:49 when you're halfway around Castle Combe and you just remembered you left the oven on.
the car is so effortless and smooth
More Mr Harris please!!!😊
Nice video 😎 just wondering what lap time was achieved in the gt3 rs?
Love both of you. Top video
Aw sheee.. I was hoping it's your long time camera man and partner Neil, I wanted to see him!
How is it that this is only getting shown to me 8 days later, UA-cam can go do one!
Well, there's your next vid, or series (if the gents have time for it) - Chris teaches Neil to *drive*. I'd watch the crap out of that 👌
If done well could also be an excellent tutorial for those interested in improving their driving. But in an engaging and funny. I would wager it being a massive success.
Amazing car! I Drove Castle Coombe recently in my Exige V6 great track! Where did you brake for Avon rise? It always scared me ;)
What an entertaining video!
Well done for keeping the Tuna salad down 😂
IT'S nice to have NEIL in the carr

"Mind the tires" 😂😂
Awesome stuff, tell Neil to do his lid up though!
Where can I get a ride along with one of these?
I love Neil
no drama - amazing...
I also want to drive around a circuit with Chris Harris behind the wheel... lucky bastard
This is awesome
“I’m glad in going home in the train…” 🤣
Love Chris Harris!!!!
“Mind those tires” hahahaha
What a dream it would be if you could teach me to drive close to that in a week!!
Best car of our time obviously.
Is there a full review from chris about the GT3 RS somewhere?
ua-cam.com/video/l_9F8UgWa7Y/v-deo.html
This could be the new Collecting Cars template. Harris drives, Clifford commentates, a proverbial UA-cam cash cow as they say.
Chris you are the man
