Your fishing a lot of the fishing spots,,, that I fished ,,, when I was a kid, but we did it with Cane Poles and Zebcos,,,, Mostly Oscars before peacocks and snake eyes….. Back in the 70s……. Thanks for bringing back the good memories…..
I would have left long before that john. Like the Oscars and peacocks. Very sad what happened in Tennessee and North Carolina. Prayers for them. So much devastation.
Thanks John, I've been cutting up and burning the fallen limbs from Helene. I've been at it pretty much every day since the storm. I really haven't been able to go fishing even though I have some real cool new lures! I wish I could be there fishing with you, but watching is the next best thing. I'm in N.Florida (Live Oak). I need a camping vacation! I really hope to hit S.Florida this winter, but just heard we might have another 🌀 headed this way with in a week! I think it's going to take me about 2 months just to finish cutting up and burning what's all ready in our wood pile!.....FishOn.....Jim
I hope you made it through the next storm ok. One of the hunting UA-camrs I follow is from Live Oak and the video he posted from the storm was pretty gnarly.
The fish y'all were not sure about were Red and Blue tilapia and possibly another member of the tilapia family, can't remember which one though.... Keep the great content flowing y'all. We appreciate you.
Man…. I wanna go fishing so bad. I have to walk about 6 miles to get there and back though. And there is a massive hill. And I’m kinda old and busted. Wish I had a freaking bike. I watch your channel to try and scratch the itch. 🙏
John this was one of the most enjoyable Florida River fishing I have ever seen! Your head must have been on a swivel looking out for gators wow that right there is an experience in its own! Those peacock bass are so beautiful and you caught so many a lot of smaller colorful fish were caught! Thank you for filming this amazing experience it seemed you only fished a small area to cover the entire waters of Florida what an adventure that would be! Can’t wait to see how your team does in the knucklehead series tight lines take care and God bless!
I knew you would see alligators , but did you see any snakes ? Like cottonmouths or pythons ? I've only watched about half the video so far. May have to finish later.
Haven't finished the video yet...but had to pause and comment just in the first 18 minutes how many have you actually caught and did the helgamite hold up that long...yea the alligator I was wondering when he would show up with all that commotion and when you bend down to pick up fish please keep your on the water... alright now finish video
@@ryank5761huh.....in Tennessee , seems that the liberals do the most littering and other very disgusting things. I respect John and his channel too much to get into it . Don't ask.
Up here in SW Ohio my son and I been on a jerkbait and weightless fluke tear! I mean and absolute smash fest… I caught 13 smallies my biggest was 18.5 and 6 rock bass. My son caught 9 smallies including his PB that was 17”. They are feeding like crazy. I know you like to throw weightless flukes so I want to let you in on the sickest setup for throwing them I’ve ever tried. I got my son the Curado 70 MGL and paired it with the 6’8 St Croix Bass X Medium Extra fast with 8lb fluorocarbon and my friend you have to try it.. you’ll be blown away at how good that combo throws a weightless fluke. It gives it such crisp and darting action a spinning rod just cannot do it. It’s so good my boy got one 2ft in front of him right off the bank. He caught so many fish he smoked me badly. You will not regret switching over away from the spinning rod.
@@CreekFishingAdventures the fish absolutely thrash it and when the water is clear you get to see the fluke and then it’s just gone and your rod is bent.. the combo also throws hard jerkbaits extremely well. I can’t wait until tomorrow morning and Sunday to hit up the Great Miami and tear into some. Looks like it’s going to be great weekend for it
That Gator is why I wonder why you went south instead of North. Florida water like you are fishing here is not pretty and is full of gators. You can go north where there is pretty water, lots of fish and no gators. Just my opinion. I just came back from Florida to visit my sister. If she were not down there I would never have a reason to go back.
Why don't you use a net? Monster fish on line but no net. It's better to lose the fish with hook in mouth. 🤔 The fish is not cooperative because you pinch it with pliers on tayl. 😒 sumtime UA-camr act like googan fisherman on water.
Shore fisherman can be pretty bad for not using a net, which sucks. Did he post himself pinching that peacock bass with pliers on the tail again? I’m surprised he did. That’s a past video and he got called out for it. He argued with the guy and deleted his comment calling him out. It bummed me out because I thought he was a lot more humble than that and enjoyed watching the channel. I haven’t watched as much since that. It’s weird too because he’s apparently really religious. With being that religious you think you would at least handle the fish with the upmost care, as their all considered gods creatures. This comment will also probably be deleted.
@@5kendo Not really. Using a net, not chucking the fish back in the water from height, and not disfiguring a fish tail with pliers is all common fish handling knowledge. To be called out on it and then double down, that was what really surprised me. Take your lumps and learn and strive to be better would be the correct thing to do. Especially when it concerns a sport that deals with living things.

Yeah , it's sad and a shame how some people are being treated . Especially in North Carolina .
That new species you were wondering about is called a pike topminnow. Pretty cool!

Great episode! Water water and fishing everywhere. Like the camo sun shirt around 38 minutes (can you share brand name?) thanks
It is so funny how afraid he is of alligators 😂😂😂
He is smart to fear them. It isn't the ones you see, but even if you see one, there are probably more you don't see.
One from the archives.
