i bought that Sorento 1 year ago, it's 2.5 turbo petrol, 280PS, it's really nice, it costs less than 30000 euro in Korea, i don't know why it's so expensive in Poland
We don't get the 2.5 turbo petrol, because of emissions. In most of Europe there's around 20% VAT, and in some countries there's higher excise duty on cars with engine displacement above 2 liters, so a 2.2 diesel is automatically some 15% more expensive than a 2.0.

@@MarekDrivesENG in Korea, Sorento 2.5 and 2.2 is the same price, yes i know there's Vat and other taxes but this is more than double price there, it's unbelievable
Since I switched to a brand new 48k euro Tesla Model Y Long Range, I can't imagine paying more than 50k for a brand new car. Nothing comes close to space/performance/features price-wise to the Tesla. But obviously I can charge at home for cheap. Without cheap home charging, EVs make no sense.
I think the pre-facelift looked better. I cannot understand why this car costs so much more. I think the Kodiaq is a better offering for the money. Waiting for the new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, hope it will be a blast!
I like the way it looks, but the entire time, I was thinking if this would be more expensive than a Mazda CX60 I would not consider it... and so it is. Sh..ts and giggles! Love it!
The CX-60 outer dimensions are pretty the same compared to Sorento, but unfortunatelly thanks to it's long bonnet it's interior is smaller compared to Sorento. Otherwise CX-60 is a nice car, too.
Sorry Marek, I visited Poland, saw you, and decided I'd piss you off by parking next to you. By the way, it was amazing how your passenger disappeared instantaneously after you moved the seat back and forth. Re: the Sorento, it's a sharp SUV but WTH 68k euro??????? The EX to X line Limited is 43-53k CAD. or 29 to 36k euro. That's stupid.
Here in Romania same Sorento is 58.000 euros , when I saw the price in Poland I almost swallowed my tongue !!! I agree CX80 is better at the same price...
At least here in Estonia fully loaded CX-80 is about 10% more expensive than the fully loaded Sorento. I chose the Sorento although the 3.3 inline-6 diesel is very appealing, but even though the cockpit of the CX-60 is very nice, the seating didn't feel so comfy for me as the Sorento. The seller told that the driver POV will be the same in the CX-80.
I own a 2021 Sorento. A car that then cost around 70k here in Switzerland. What disappointed me the most was the build quality which is abysmal inside. The car has only covered about 65,000 km. And the fact that Kia gives a 7-year warranty is pure nonsense, the car is screeching and that doesn't come with the warranty and everyone is acting crazy. That's why my advice is to look further for that money and bypass the Kia in the big port.
It's just way too expensive for what it is. I recently looked at this to replace our Subaru Outback in the states, and the PHEV in particular since we have great incentives. It ended up being more expensive than an Outback after incentives. What's more strange, is that a Kia EV9 ended up being cheaper here in Colorado due to incentives and dealer discounts, but I just don't need a car that big! Hyundai and Kia both have strange pricing strategies and are now amongst the most expensive in my Colorado market while also having higher depreciation rates than Honda/Toyota/Subaru, making them a hard sell.
@@MarekDrivesENG LOL. We have a Tesla and a Subaru. We want 2 EVs, no ICE. We would like to buy something else besides a Tesla, but they are just so far ahead of everyone else in terms of price, performance, and efficiency. We bought our brand new Model Y Dual Motor for $32k last March and can get a Model 3 LR RWD for $26k now after incentives and discounts, so it's hard to justify keeping an ICE car or buying another EV. We drive about 65k kms per year and pay just $0.115 USD per kWh, so the gas savings and the cheaper price make EVs an easy sell. As such, the Sorrento makes no sense.
@@davetravels9273 I think that in this price category cars don't have to make particularly sense (and even less sense among more expensive ones), it's rather matter of preference. I didn't like the Model Y at all even though it's quite spacious even compared to Sorento. The impression I got was that the car being so cost-effectively built the materials felt rather cheap and unfinished. The usability of the UI was disappointing. After a short considering I bought the fully loaded Sorento diesel since it just happened to like it, didn't care about my own home countrys new car tax regulations and incentives to buy EV and don't care if the price of the km is double with driving some EV.
It’s a good looking car and I like the new grille at the front and Asshole Assist but there’s still a lot of niggly touch sensitive gadgets which I hate. Make sure you put a claim in for the eye 😂
:) It healed quickly. KIA's in a relatively good position, because they still have many physical controls regardless of the screens. Some other carmakers will have to go back to the drawing board, and pull out some features from the screens, and stick them on the dash, where they should be.

great review for a nice car but with 70k i d rather buy a house or in case of cars,a 2nd hand S350d.

Tesla is not a car,is electric vehicles💩. Sorrento is car
@ So cars have become so bad that a non-car was the most sold "car" last year. I see.
@@0farmerjohn0 I live in Europe. Home electricity prices are around 0.12 euro cents per kW.
Dear Marek, thank you for very interesting review.
The price is very high. I think, the sells will adjust the price.
Can you do a review on the front wheel drive/ 2nd diesel variant of the Kia Sorento?
plenty of 2010 - 2015 Kia Sorentos for sale on the second hand market at realistic prices.
I remember a time Kia were budget cars. lol
Chinese cars are the new Hyundai/KIA :)
Stay tuned for a comparison of a couple of Chinese cars with some established players.
@@MarekDrivesENG I wouldnt trust a Chinese EV car. plenty tend to get hot very quickly then change to a charred black colour
Who's talking about EVs? We get plenty of 1.5/1.6 turbo petrol Chinese cars here in Poland now.
Any plans to review the Wey 03/05, if you get them in Poland?
6:41 Me on Lidl parking 😁.
Parking like this next to me? 🤣

The Outlander is basically the X-Trail, but with a PHEV instead of e4ORCE.

The fuel economy is okay for Polish standards? 🤔
Most people you ask prefer diesel (or at least petrol) to EV. This is relatively efficient.

Of course they offer only the most expensive model for reviewers. I suspect the average Sorento is leaving showrooms for 2/3 this price or less.
Shame the Kia can only tow 1010kg due to phev
Yes, they are very cautious with that powertrain. CX-80 can tow 2.5 tons regardless of whether it's a diesel or PHEV.
