  • Cells are specialised for all manner of bodily functions. We explain the special features of:
    - sperm and egg cells for their role in reproduction
    - the ciliated epithelial cell for keeping our lungs particle-free
    - red blood cells for carrying oxygen
    - and nerve cells for transmitting electric impulses
We also put the concept of specialisation into context, explaining how it helps us do all the things we can do.
