MODERN HORIZONS 3 IS COMING! With that, there comes Vexing Bauble a brand new card from MH3 that is going to change Legacy forever. Vexing Bauble counters spells that are cast for free which is a huge problem for Storm Combo decks in Legacy. BUT I HAVE THE ANSWER! Check out the video to find out more.
In this video, we're playing a Storm Combo deck featuring Urza's Saga in addition to other Legacy cards such as Beseech the Mirror and Echo of Eons. What makes this Black Saga Storm unique is Orcish Bowmasters in alongside Entomb + Echo of Eons.

This is what I was thinking about during your rant(I use that term lovingly) on Eternal Glory. Veil of summer just lets you play right through vexing bauble, which seems great for TES.

I think this video goes to show how good the Epic Storm is. There were many times in this league had you had access to your sideboard you could have won.

EDIT in the original com for better visibility: after Bryant's response, I needed to double check, and he's right, the phyrexian mana cost, when paid with 2 life for surgical, will be seen by the bauble as an alternative to mana, so it WILL be countered, just as in the case of Lavinia by analogy.
Bauble will counter it if Phyrexian mana is paid.
@@TheEPICStorm Well, if you say so, maybe it works this way... IF Lavinia counters surgicals played for phyrexian mana as well. Phyrexian mana is a strange concept for being technically mana "spent" but then again there is no mana involved in practice.
Possibility to leave the Whispers of the Vault and board in Haywire Mite in order to kill the Vexing Bauble on games 2 and 3?
How are you making green mana when you can't play 0 mana artifacts?
Necrodominance + Borne Upon a Wind will break TES open, please showcase it when it comes out

@@TheEPICStorm if this "different deck" is just better than current TES, though, then doesn't that mean it's just the new TES?
Vexing bauble is likely going to be everywhere - passable in main deck and has enough targets in legacy . Fetchable with Urza's saga, counters force, counters elemental griefers, and hopefully show and tell (play vs cast?), zero mana artifacts.
Vexing bauble becomes hilarious if you can flash it in.
You can run it with repeal. Repeal lets you kill orchish bow master tokens without losing card advantage, and bounce your own bauble.
We could shift to land go pattern. There are a lot of spell lands that can be pitched to force, but can also be cast to get resources for storm. While creature bears and medallions can be removed, we can shift to a cost cheater that doesn't care about VB and run enough blue for force. If Coco wasn't hit by bauble you could even run 12 bears, + 8 creature/land + 5 other creatures to hit the ~25 coco creature count. There might even be a mono red + colorless "oversource" slow storm that variant that ignores bauble while casting relays, eldrazi, and mystic forge.
Stifle is now much better because you can pay mana to counter the trigger.
"hopefully show and tell" vexing bauble does nothing to the card 'show and tell'. The deck of the same name, maybe though. It stops some lotus petal and stops omniscience for example

I prefer this over TES simply because of how much I love Urza's Saga as a real game plan
