I want to make a custom cable for my boombox in construction as well. The question ist: Is it possible to aquire a spare plug somewhere so I do not need to cut the original one. And a 2nd question is: Is the cable length somehow limited on the side between the DSP and the prgramming card?
Can you provide the info on the 6 pin connector cable between the amp and the ICP board? I've got a project with a 4 channel amp and wanted to put a 6 pin connector on the outside of the enclosure like you did . I cannot see the pitch of the connector to know what to order. Can you help?
Take the six wire jst ph cable included and cut in half then use male and female six pin AV audio video and solder each half of cut cable and ensure wire to wire soldered to AV male female pair.
Hoping you can help me... How do you think a Seahorse 520 case (~15”x12”x7”) with a single 8” Infinity 2-way marine speaker mounted and driven by a Dayton KAB 100W mono amp would sound with 14.4-21V power from 4-5 18650s? Never built anything like this before. Thxs!!
Great video! Im controlling volume with a rotary encoder, but if I turn off and the on, the amp does not start with the last volume level it was before powering off. Is there a way to make it work like that?
@@MoDIYHiFithe APM2 with the extension kit for a 2.1 system. For subs, it is a 1000W ICE board, and for full range a wondom 2x300W. I used 4 pots and hooked up 2 encoders for more control. The problem is that the enconders dont save the last position before powering off.
@@pacoryu I will always use SigmaStudio program the pot encoders and once the file is saved and burned to the APM2/3 then the pots settings are set in DSP logic and flowpath are saved. The pots are volume, low bandpass, high bandpass, and gain. Have you downloaded the base file in the APM2/3 to see their stock assignments???
@@MoDIYHiFi with the 4 pot connected to the ADC inputs I have no problem. I added two rotary encoders to the GPIO inputs and they work fine, but if I reset the board, the levels controlled by these two encoders do not remain the same, always go back to minimum. I've read a bit and it seems I have to work with selfboot and writeback features but I cant figure them out.
@@pacoryu if you reset the board by pressing the reset button it always go back to factory settings. The answer is to create or modify a base APM program via Sigma Studio and flash it to APM then whenever you power up your project it’ll start up with your program unless you hit the reset button. The base Sigma projects are available for down load at Sure Wondom or Part Express.
The real information is very difficult to hear. What have you done with the audio when switch to OBS ? Level drops more than 10db ! But this was good info to start with sigma studio.
Great video, thank you - this increased my understanding of this environment! I was wondering - do you or does anyone know if it is possible to program ICP5 with JAB5 (Wondom) to act as a USB Audio Interface? I am hoping to have 4 mono inputs I can assign from my DAW to output at the JAB5 with its built in 4 analogue outputs. TIA!
Not sure about that, but it should be possible to use a USB to I2S module to act as your interface. Two channel ones are pretty common. Not sure if JAB5 takes 4 channel I2S.
I only have experience with icp 1,2,3,5. They all work with ADAU1701 boards. Only difference is the 3 and 5 has Bluetooth for the optional smart phone app and PC app which allows simple tuning of tone or equalizers. Sigma studio is much more comprehensive therefore it fits my needs but learning curve steeper but worth it.
Great video, thanks for the help. Running into a weird issue on two computers, at a certain point in the process the crossover becomes not clickable any longer. I can add a new crossover to the project and the blue button does not click into the settings any longer. any idea what that is?
Holy hell, I figured it out... If you zoom out or zoom in the crossovers become uneditable. but as soon as you zoom back to the default view all is good... SMH lol
Well i've gone out and bought these boards and i've got nothing but distortion after the first couple of watts... checked them with a powersupply and 2x12v batteries in series :/
USB red is all I see. Sadly this crap does not work with Windows 11 and USB 3.x This stuff is so old I had to call an archeologist to understand how to install drivers.

Best Sigma Studio video I've ever seen
Is it just me, or is the audio volume as from 14:28 very low? Can you please normalize the volume?
great video but it's so hard to hear after 14:28
Most helpful video out there, thanks!

Thanks for this, very helpful. Nice one
New KABD Boards are out! Bluetooth, DSP and amp in one, building a MEGA 2 * 50 + 300 * 2 bike system.

I hope you already found an answer. I don't own one yet, but I believe wondom sells a bag of most of the wires in one $8-12 pack. Ebay and Aliexpress.

did anyone try to hookup a generic i2c/uart to usb converter to these amp boards or it only works with their ICP?

yeah I'm not sure what happened. It was my only one time use of OBS software.
