Ahsoka should've contacted Luke the minute she found out about Baylan and Shin, and especially after fighting Marrok. Not for Luke and her to confront them, then they'd learn nothing, but Luke is stronger in the force, and might be able to meditate on the issue, or learn something on other ways, perhaps from speaking to the force ghosts, since Baylan was jedi at the temple, they would all have known him. The new republic doesn't take the issue seriously, but Ahsoka should, instead of underestimating them, and taking her time, while they're far ahead and have the map. And if I was her, I'd have left Sabine on Lothal, as punishment for not following orders, people's actions must have consequences.

Not gonna lie, seeing the final scene of Ahsoka and Sabine reuniting and flying off took me back to when Rebels ended and how much of a mess I was from that emotionally powerful ending.

If Sabine's Loth Cat is even partly a puppet, I hope it means they'll appear in person at Galaxy's Edge. Not as something you can buy, but who wouldn't want to have their photo taken with one? Some people queue for the princesses, I'm queuing for that Loth Cat.

They have one in the creature shop in the cage. It’s “asleep” lol a few good cast members will hold a plush and pretend it’s alive and stand by the doorway so you can pet it.

There's a possibility that more of the 7th Fleet was taken as well. There were two other star destroyers over Lothal Capital City. While the angles in the footage are skewed and might suggest they crashed, the sky was clear after. Plus whatever may have been taken in orbit. What I'm saying is with a ring like the Eye of Scion, several trips might be possible to bring back many of the 7th Fleet alongside the Chimaera.

I felt like "Toil and Trouble" refers to Morgan's work....what she has been able to build under the New Republic's nose...an intergalactic hyperdrive (Eye of Scion). Definately diving into "grey" areas of the force with this one...both with Ahsoka not being entirely Jedi (and Sabine for that matter, being not much of a force wealder, but definately a formitable Mandolorian and engineer)...nor Balon and his apprentice. I'm here for it. Also...LOVE your shirt ,Wendy!

I’m so happy to see them utilizing KOTOR I & II and the Rakatan Infinite Empire that was made officially canon in “Andor”. No doubt that was a Rakata structure for the star map. Plus, the homage to Darth Sion with the Eye of Sion is so damn cool!!!

Marrok is a Sith Inquisitor, with blood red lightsaber blades, Shin Hati, Baylan Skoll's apprentice, wields an orange and/or burning red lightsaber blade. Hers and Baylan are Dark Jedi/Fallen Jedi and their lightsaber colors are apparently called "Righteous Fury" 🤔, which is what Dagan Gera in Jedi Survivor bleeds his yellow lightsaber into once he starts seething about the Jedi Order having "abandoned and betrayed him" 😓.

I am loving this series so far as well as your reaction to it. Chopper was great and hilarious in this episode, especially since we can better understand what he says now. Also, Marrok is the name of that black armored warrior Ahsoka fights, and he is a former Imperial Inquisitor, which explains why he wields a double-bladed spinning lightsaber.

I heard that Dave Filoni decided to actually recreate the final scene of Rebels beat for beat, minus Ahsoka's white cloak and staff of course as a way to say this is where Rebels ended, & I actually did look up the last scene of Rebels and it is the same, including Sabine's look, even her touching the picture of Ezra the way she did.

10:22 SSD most likely is an acronym for "Super Star Destroyer" just like Vader's _The Executor_ which was destroyed at the Battle of Endor, when it collided into the second Death Star 🤔😉👍.

we know that the mural was only recently put in place since we saw them offiically open it up the day before and sabine says she "hasn't seen Ahsoka in ... years." So unless they are all going to go through the same actions again at some point in the future, this is probably a minor change to the rebels epilogue.

  • @AndrewMcColl

I think the title was a bit of a trick and was actually (or also) referring to what was going on at the shipyards. Toil for recycling the Imperial ships, and Trouble for the undercover Remnants.
As for Mother Talzyn, I recall an episode of Rebels where they went to Dathomir and found the Nightsisters had been wiped out by Palpatine.
I recall reading somewhere that Steve Blum (voice of Zeb) wasn't in Ahsoka, but they could still sneak him in later on as a surprise near the end. Maybe he and his squadron are sent to assist Hera in a battle.

2:11 To be fair, getting stabbed in the abdomen isn't immediately fatal. Incredibly painful, absolutely. But with proper mediccal attention, it can be treated. The biggest danger in a gut would is internal bleeding, which the cauterization of a lightsaber prevents. Qui-Gon, on the other hand, took the stab dead center just below the solar plexus. Maul's saber not only likely did damage to Qui-Gon's stomach and some incidental damage to his lungs and possibly heart, it definitely destroyed his spinal cord. And was left there long enough that he was probably experiencing organ failure beyond just shock.

17:25 I really wish... this might just be impossible... but I hope that Baylan talks about his post-Order 66 story. I know we're all probably not interested in hearing another one of those stories... but Huyang identifying his lightsaber from back on Coruscant's Jedi Temple... Ashoka telling Hera that Anakin never finished her training...
I wonder if Baylan will bring up or reference if he knew Anakin.
"There are so few jedi left..."
He's not the focus of the Ashoka's series... but does Baylan know of Luke? Can't wait for next week!

10:28 The fact that he said an SSD class Imperial ship. They were dismantling and repurposing not just a star destroyer's hyperdrive, they were repurposing the bigger and huge Super Star Destroyer.
Remember, Vader had a SSD as his flagship but that actually wasn't the only one the Empire had. Since his was destroyed at the Battle of Endor, this was probably a hyperdrive from another one that had been taken by the Rebellion.

Yes, up until that live-action recreation of the final scene of Rebels. "But Ahsoka had a white robe and a staff in that scene!" Yes, but remember that Dave Filoni has always told the live action directors (and fans) to consider the animated shows to be stylized retellings, and that we should consider the live action versions to be the definitive versions.

This was great. It's very much like the ending of Rebels, which I think is the perfect way to go. Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are so perfect as Sabine and Hera. They're really capture their spirits and personalities, particularly this episode. My favorite moment, even though it's small, is when Ahsoka nudged the Inquisitior lightsaber when it was coming back. I can't stop thinking about that moment.

Just an opinion, but perhaps that is why their lightsabers are orange. They are mercenaries, not fully sith. Almost as if he has grown cynical and the only way to survive is through money and power. Which is why it seems they were willing to take in that inquisitor. To them, it is no longer about Jedi and Sith and it does not even seem to be about control of an empire. It seems like he does not care who runs the galaxy, only that Thrawn's return will sow chaos which brings opportunity. I could be wrong of course. I truly believed him when he said it would be a shame to kill Ahsoka. He would rather not, he will of course to pursue his own goals, but it was not what he wanted. I like that actor's portrayal of the character so far.
Watching some newcomers react to Clone Wars. The young Ahsoka was very much like Sabine and she made mistakes that were harsh lessons during the Clone Wars. It is amazing to see where her experiences have taken her and the wisdom she now possesses from them. But we still see some of the old snips when she cannot help but remind Hera that Sabine lost the map. Ahsoka was right though, Sabine had to believe she was ready. I believe her chat with the droid Huyang gave her much to think about.
    Thanks for sharing your reactions!

I was thinking along the same lines. Not sith, but surviving order 66 made Balon lose faith on how the jedi did things.
Hates what they became and how it led to their destruction. Serving a strong leader like Thrawn could let him rebuild the order and keep it strong, not subservient to a corrupt government that.

I'm one of those live-action-only people (although I do watch the Tales of the Jedi and Visions). All I can tell you was I was really tired and tried to watch it after D&D so it was way after midnight before I could get to it. I found it too complicated/uncomfortable to enjoy when I was that tired. I got some sleep and watched it again. It was much more enjoyable. 😂
I think the first viewing was hard because when you're tired and a lot is going on that you know everyone else would be excited about, you feel uncomfortable. When Ahsoka first came into my life she was with Din Djarin and Grogu, so it was easy to assimilate her. Don't get me wrong, I love Rosario Dawson so I really wanted to enjoy it. I was just too tired for an unfamiliar setting where Ahsoka was the only character I knew.
I also think Sabine losing the map irritated me too much. It was really for the stupidest reason too. While she was fighting the other girl, there was a great opportunity to do a foot sweep to knock her on her rear end and since Mandalorians are raised to fight, I thought Sabine would take advantage of any normal fighting style moves (don't know anything about her relationship to practicing her Mandalorian skills as opposed to her Jedi which it's inferred she isn't as skilled at. Yes, I realize they had to write the story like that so they would have a quest to go on, but I was tired AND irritable so it was harder to keep myself out of reality. I did really appreciate all the Mando Season 3 tie-ins they had. I hated that episode with Dr. Pershing in it, but at least it set up Ahsoka well. I just have to make sure I'm well-rested next week so I don't go in with an attitude. 😂

I do wish the dialogue would happen more quickly. I liked Sabine much more with her hair cut. I hope we get some explanation as to what happened to Ahsoka since Star Wars Rebels that made her so much more stoic and serious. I have a feeling that by the end of the series, Baylan will turn back to good.

You nitwit those are just detachable hyperdrives and it would take them hundreds of years to reach another galaxy through regular hyperdrive which is why the Empire never went beyond the boundaries of their own galaxy and nearby star cluster plus you see the map with addresses to 100s of different galaxies. Bye 👋🏽...
