An intense blizzard set up just to the east of Portland, Oregon today creating hazardous conditions. While we were there, the wind nearly gusted to 100mph at 97mph. With heavy snow falling in that intense wind, visibility was near whiteout. We saw multiple fallen trees, including a car that was crushed by one. 150,000 customers lost power around the Portland area.

They weren't live. They take other people's videos and post it like it's live. But they didn't even do the recording they just steal others footage.

The one time I went to Vista House (on the Columbia Gorge, not Crown Point) it was locked. Hazarding a guess it was closed for this weather, too. 😂

I live in the Dalles.... just drove up and chilled in my truck. I guess I left right before this guy got here.
He must have driven over the cones or they blew away. They had a truck with lights but they left after awhile
I couldn't even get out of my truck my nose started to go numb
      Cheers

@@thisfishsmellsgood4084 I haven't been to your beautiful state since my uncle (who lived in Portland) died in 2015. We spent several summers and winters touring OR & WA and I was mesmerized. We have family in Bend and scattered in WA. So glad I have those memories.
We're having some equally gross weather here in WI/IL. -2° & dropping and crazy windy. Got about a foot of snow yesterday. I'm ready for spring.

@@pamelah6431 i thought maybe you did the recording but its a guy who just takes others recordings and then puts "not for broadcast" lol
Be safe Pam this weather is dangerous. I spent a hr trying to tow a coworker out of a nasty 2 ft drift and thought I had frostbite on my cheeks 🥶
      Thanks for visiting
      Cheers

@@thisfishsmellsgood4084 I've been seeing reports of mega trees down all over the PDX region. Makes me so sad. The size of your trees is not possible to relay to someone who's never seen them. Gotta see it to believe it. My uncle (who lived outside Portland proper, by Tanasbourne), had a tiny lot with two humongous Douglas firs. I always will wonder how they're doing. He always worried about them. It was virtually impossible to access the back "yard" and would have cost a lifetime fortune to get a crane in to remove them. No matter which direction either falls, they will crush multiple structures. Shame to have built houses that close to them with no thought to access for maintenance or removal. He's in heaven and no longer concerned, but I will never forget them.
      Stay safe and bundled up!

Vista house is at crown point.... It's literally called "vista house at crown point" on google maps. The state park sign at 0:41 reads "Vista House, Crown Point" the state parks site and vista house site both state it's crown point. There is more than one crown point but Vista House is indeed located at Crown Point in the Crown Point State Scenic Corridor.
