    My dad used to say, everything goes back to nature. I'm a matchmaker in Ireland and I've decided to grow dates for two reasons, they are delicious and as you say up there with figs and pomegranates. I'm really excited about using this as a metaphor for Relationships. Get the best seed. I'll go for your Honey Date, Feed it/you. Nourish
    with love and attention...work on you. Know your story and you'll grow better. Let the light in...information. Grow in a positive way. Deal with your emotions ...like a date dealing with the elements. Deal with your emotions. Then, with now fear start dating...Get that perfect date through me. Be the best you can be and attract that perfect Date. Maybe it is a bit over the top but I'm working on The Date Tree. Thanks for the inspiration. Might even add TaiChi :)

    I really enjoyed Your Video, and Your Good Presentation, thanks for Cameraman, But I've some Concerns about Planting Your Lovely 4 Date Palms;
    1- Why You're using Plenty Chemicals for the initiative Date Palm plant, I think Its over and Costly at this stage.
    2- I'm afraid from the Location of the Plants #1&3 they are too close to the Wall of Your Yard, as I knew that Each Date Palm needs About 10 meter Square around (Space for each Side) no Concrete Wall or Even other Tree.
    3- I afraid from the Poor Plant # 3 located beside Diesel Machine, which Generate High Vibration and Black Exhaust around Its Body, this will disturb growth of new Leafs and the Roots will not to be stable on the Soil.
    4- You Need a Single Male Palm Tree to Feed the Female Flower in the Spring Season.
    I hope that is being Useful.
    I want to see How Did You dismantled the Young Plant from Its Mother.
    Best Wishes from Egypt.

    Hi 👋 👋 👋 👋 just wanted you to know that I've been gardening since 1983 and 1 thing I've learned is number 1 compost in every hole 2nd thing is make your own compost and 3rd thing buy chicken Manure you can put some of that in your tree hole mix it around the hole. Be careful with the chicken Manure it could fry the the tree 🌳 you trying to grow.

    Date fruit is one of my favorite fruit. I see that you bought your date palm tree from China Ranch date farm in Southern California good choice, China Ranch date farm is one of the many date palm farm in Southern California, in total California produce over 90% of all USA date fruit. I used to live in San Diego, California but move out of state because the cost of living is too high, I still love California I will move back when I win big from the lottery.

    Jake, it looks like you don't plant those date palms very deep. I couldn't tell from the video how large the root system is, but I take it, that's as deep as it should be planted, and no deeper? Also, I need to find a couple of date palms for my W. TX location. Mail order seems to be the only way I can do that. Can't drive to Death Valley for them. Suggestions?

    I'm pretty sure you'll need a male date palm to make fruit happen. I have a somewhat local guy (40 miles away) selling date palms. He has the Deglet Noor and Medjool varieties. I was wondering how much you paid for the ones you purchased. If you don't mind sharing that info. He's charging me for 30" box $550 each. They look to be roughly the same size as the ones you picked up.

    As the man from Egypt already commented, these are too close together, to other trees, and to the wall. Date palms get huge! And they have immense, very sharp spines at the base of each frond. The ones that produce suckers will produce a cumbersome thicket at the base (with lots of those spines) as well. Before planting any date palm, people should really consider if they have enough room for how big and tall they'll eventually get.
