@ 4:58 Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a species of Hibiscus probably native to West Africa. In the Caribbean we use it for teas and a traditional (served cold) Christmas drink known as Sorrel.
Thank you for your wonderful video. Your enthusiasm and knowledge are much appreciated. It is so good to see a young guy caring for his body and environment so well. So, all the way from Australia, I say keep up the good work and all the best to you!
Dude! You live the life that I look forward to living in a couple years when I have a home and property! Your videos are so cool! This one is amazing thank you for taking us through your garden!
Beautiful garden, I could just relax there with all the vegetation and water and look at the fishes and eating everything. It's a personal garden of Eden ❤️
don't be jealous! With a few seeds you can have your own massive garden like this in a few months! plants grow fast! And you'll have so much fun growing and cloning!
Riza Tiu that's what I'm doing! I'd rather not fill my parents yard with plants just yet (although I'm dying to) so I have some in my house near the window, where I can take them outside for a few hours if they look like they need it.
Beautiful paradise garden - I hope the Central Park in NYC would have just few of those trees, even behind heavy fence to show kids the real NATURAL WORLD of plants. As compliment to that small store with those real ripe tasty fruits, leaves , pods, and other eatable parts of plants.
The cucumber that you have , we call scruffy cucumbers in the Caribbean. We cook them in rice or with other veggies. They have a sweet cabbage like taste. Really good.
When we lived in Utah we had a peach tree which was very prolific, hundreds of peaches. It was a lot to eat, freeze, give away. They were some of the best peaches though. I can't imagine having a garden like yours but it looks very rewarding
Just bought a house in the country in the Midwest. I have a bunch of dwarf fruit seeds coming in as well as starting some veggie sprouts in pots over the winter. I watched a few of your videos, thanks for the tips! Can't wait to have my own garden forest
Nice garden with beautiful trees with varieties of fruits, love it. I love planting too but I don't have big garden. My youngest daughter n her fam live in Arizona city, they plant several fruit trees n vegetables too. Thanks for sharing yr video, love it.
I'm so inspired now from watching this video. I live in Michigan and I've got a whole backyard to plant next year. I've started with a blueberry shrub.
I love this! It's beautiful and there were so many grapefruits it's unbelievable! I'm so jealous your garden is goals and I just leaned about so many new fruits from watching this video so thank you.
I loved your garden. Great video. I'm from the Caribbean and what you called hibiscus we call sorrel. You can use it to make a lovely, refreshing drink with ginger. Thanks for the tour.
I’m so amazed that you had a whole meal just walking around your garden. It encourages me to keep gardening in my backyard. I can’t wait until my garden is as bountiful as yours. Thanks for sharing. 😀😃
I love that you eat what you grow!! I know it's not easy to grow in Az!!! My heart is in the mountains, but my body is stuck in the Az desert for now...
Well done! I use my Roselle from Hibiscus in Tea. I freeze the blooms for tea all through the winter. I'm in zone 7ISH. So, what I don't pull by the frost gets lost to Mother Nature. Roselle is HIGH in Vitamin C!
Wow, Mr. You and me are soo much alike. I go around my garden almost every morning or night, in the cool of the day and pick whatever available from my growth and eat right in the spots. Best feeling ever. Thanks for the wonderful videos.
we made syrup with that thai hibiscus...we call it roselle...boil with water to get a very nice colour syrup and make jam with the access...very delicious
That first veggie is very popular here in northwest Brazil and it's called MAXIXE over here . We often consume it in soups or stews like COZIDO ( beef stew) .
after i finished watch this video, i think those plant easy you find in Indonesia. Some we use for traditional medicine, and some we use for vegetable. nice to see you
i live in jamaica, i see almost all these plants here and i will make proper use of them thanks to you, you could also use the peels you discard to make tea, that's what me and my mother do from time to time.
thai hibiscus also known as sorrel you should boil it with the seeds then separate the seeds from the pulp then boil again with staranese and cinamon and cardimum then squeeze out the juice into a mug. add some water and sugar(optional) serve cold. Us trinidadians love it around Christmas time
your garden is really nice! i wish the climate in germany would let me grow such great plants. we have also good fruits we can grow, but you can grow all those what woudnt last a winter here. i have an olivetree for 5 years and 2 fig trees, but i dont know how they would manage a real cold winter. i should really leave germany, it makes me jealous :D
You'd probably be surprised by how little protein we actually need. On a SAD diet, people eat far more than they actually need (about twice the daily requirement), and even vegans sometimes consume a lot more protein than is necessary, without even trying. Also, I am a vegan and do not constantly eat to make up for any other common nutrient deficiencies. I simply eat more plant foods that are nutrient-dense enough to supplement anything I'm not consuming through meat, and take my daily vitamins and iron tablets. Been living this way for about a year, and so far it's been pretty simple.
Jake, at about 9:40 into the video you say you have some Longevity Spinach, actually I think that is Okinawa Spinach, which I have been growing for years. There are a couple varieties one is green like yours and another has some purple highlights. Both are very good at controlling cholesterol and blood sugar issues, and Delicious too.
I got to get watch this video all over again and more of your videos so I can get me a tree setup area on my Ranch Homestead of this sort. I got plenty of space but I like the neatness and niceness of your area. I’m on 24 acres but I wld only want what’s close to me like yours. Not a whole lot.
I absolutely love this video if you ever have any leftover seeds of any plant that you have feel free to send them over and they were have a loving home where they can grow and be consumed

I'm loving your permaculture garden Jake! I have 10 acres of old growth trees and moss on Lasqueti island in the Pacific Northwest..with not as much sun as you do! Also, lots of wild deer and sheep that will eat everything I plant! :( I'd LOVE to live in a warmer climate!
I feel like as an adult (im 15 rn) i probably wont have a bunch of space to fill with all my favorite fruits and veggies and ill just end up grafting a bunch of stuff together so i can still have most of what i want.
