Just watched 2 videos from this channel and the way he approaches storytelling is just so nice and calming. Would love to see more content.

I find this video kinda funny because I believe that this was one of the original core intents of Instagram; sharing rather personal memories and moments. Coming full circle.

dude i relate to this SO much! vlogging is what got me into this whole thing in the first place so ive always felt the urge to record my life. but after going thru so many diff seasons in life, it just feels overwhelming to find the right balance btw documenting and staying in the moment. ive gone from full blown youtube vlogs to tiktok mini vlogs to shooting 35mm film and yet i still can't seem to find the right thing. literally today i did exactly what u suggested with photos and vids i spontaneously took on my iphone yesterday when i was out with some friends. i gotta say from personal experience i think u may b onto something :)

I didn’t realize this is what I needed to hear bro. I relate so much to feeling stuck in limbo because I didn’t resonate with what social media has become, and I just felt unmotivated to post.
Something I’ve realized is that I often try to use “content” as a tool to find other strangers online and build “community,” when really, it’s the people we make the “content” with that is the community we’ve been looking for all along

This is the video I truly need. Have TBs of memories sitting on my HDDs. But never actually edited them or do any sort. Just had bunch of them on disk. Thanks for sharing :)

I also resonate with the idea of creating more of these personal type videos. I think a lot of your audience fall into the category of media/creative freelancers and although it can be very fulfilling at times, we often forget to create for ourselves. And I'm not talking about that passion project or that spec ad that'll land you the next big gig for Nike. I'm talking about videos like these; rather raw and intimate moments in our lives. Mundane or not, it's more meaningful to us.

This video really resonates with me! I stopped taking video as much, mostly just photos cause the editing process is just so much quicker and covers more moments for me. I take the occasional video clip but do miss having vlog style videos to look back on, but generally those videos will take much longer to put together and are harder to view as something to look back on if I just want to share with friends and family as a quick here’s what I’ve been up to.
Loving your take on how you want to express those moments and not putting as much pressure on using Instagram properly. Miss your videos. Much love from Toronto 💙

Much love Kyle! Man I've been meaning to make a trip out there this year, but things don't seem to be falling into place for that. I totally get the photo vs video thing--it's probably a debate with no answer haha so if you've found what works for you, that's awesome. At the end of the day, having something over nothing is the priority I'd say!

@@boywithacamera I don't really share as much on social media now, mostly just send directly to friends and family. But seems like kind of a waste cause some of it I'd probably like to share - just don't want to go through the struggle of running it through Instagram and thinking about hashtags or captions or whatever.

This is especially relevant to me as I am currently in a form of social media limbo. The pressure to post something makes my work feel not organic. Great content as always, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Love the channel. This video reminds me of the 1SE (one second every day) app.
