This song is honestly one of the most incredible songs I’ve ever heard. This and Afterlife by Arcade Fire are tied for my top spot. This just has such a hopeful yet hurting sound to it that invoked so much emotion that you can’t ignore it. Still haven’t heard a bad song by bleachers.

yeah it does have an 80s sound to it. in fact, the background beat in this song reminds me of the one used in Queen's song "Radio Ga Ga".
Matthew Rivera funny you mention that because I thought the exact same thing and I looked it up. He says that when he was making the song he had gotten inspired when he was watching Radio Gaga on UA-cam. And goes on to say that Queen uses a Linn drum, so he bought himself a Linn drum set and used it in the song.
this is arguably the catchiest song I have heard in 2017...i was literally obsessed after hearing the first 10 seconds. this guy Jack antonoff is unbelievably talented and seems quite normal for a rock star. I love the self depreciation displayed when his future wife's EX roughs him up. he doesn't take himself too seriously, but I know he takes his art very seriously.
The conversation at the beginning gives me so many "arrested development" vibes, I love it.

I went to their show last week. Crowd was made up half, we who danced in clubs in the 80s and, and half our kids. It was incredible. Jack's music makes me feel like it's 1986 and I'm dancing at R&R Bar. It's also timeless.

@@kellienasser Jack Antonoff from Bleachers (and from that group fun. that sang a song called "Some Nights" years ago) helped cowrite a lot of the songs on Taylor's latest album.
He also has a cameo in her Bejeweled video and early in the video he is shown with a cat lol. The clothing style is very similar hence my comment bout it :)
