In the Ca. Desert & the fast is my go to program with a couple tweaks. Always hunting sites that are EXTREMELY trashy! crap in every swing. The Deus2 dose great! coming from the Nox800 & no slouch, but the Deus2 definitely edges it out.
Good video. It was good to hear that great separation from iron to high tone. Seems to me that’s wear this machine really shines. Has to be some coins out there.
Personally, I have a fondness for snakes, I love those critters. However, if I were metal detecting, and I heard what I thought was a rattlesnake, which could, in your area, be an eastern diamondback, I would’ve gotten out of there quickly. no metal detecting target is worth getting bitten by by a venomous snake! Love your videos, man, always entertaining and educational. Enjoying the hell out of my Deus2. Stay safe!
Thanks Doug yeah I respect those critters but its the element of surprise that used to get me mowing grass (when I was a kid). Respect but no interest in seeing them. Glad to hear your are enjoying the D2.
I sold my ctx after 40; hours on the deus 2 I was a hardcore ctx user and I can tell you it's a superb machine if you want to go low and slow but I can cover 3 times the ground and barely look at the screen it's recovery speed is superior at deep depth I love being able to tell the deep stuff by the softer quieter tone that's what makes it for me there is something special under the hood in the iron as well
Thanks Bradley. I love both of those machines for different reasons. There is a place for each but I pick up the D2 now more than anything else I own. Thanks for the comment.
Nice instructional video on the D2 even though no coins presented themselves. I’ve tried the Fast program and found it worked quite well in an iron loaded site to uncover previously missed targets. Where’s Rocky? Haven’t seen him in a while. Keep Digging, Scott!
I’m like you. Can not stand the snakes. Doesn’t matter what kind it is. There is some spots on the old farm I was walking last time. All I could think about was there a snake waiting for me. Grass was as tall as I am. I’m going to know this machine well even if I don’t own one. As many videos as I have watched about it. Have a great weekend
Watch out for the yellow jacket nests in the ground too man. Stuck a shovel in one Thursday, and they got me 12 times as I ran away. Shovel still there! I'm over the pain and swelling, now the itching phase, not that much fun.
Oh man! Sorry to hear. Yeah they hit me a few years ago and I try to watch for them. Glad you are over the worst part but then again the itching sucks too. Heal well my friend and go get your shovel at night :-)
@@MentalMetal Right on Scott! I have extra shovels; I think that one can stay with the yellow jackets until the snow flies. I sent you some pics of my 2022 finds .... Gotta go take some more Benadryl now, these sings are sooooo itchy!!
what was your sensitivity? I didn't see that. when I'm in that kind of mess I usually drop the sens. nice video, thanks. But I gotta ask... what does the 314 mean? what area of the country are you in? keep it up. have you ever tried relic in that kind of situation?
Thanks Gene. I usually run my sensitivity at around 95 and drop it down to no lower than 90. The 314 just relates to my birth month and day. In this video I'm in Northern PA and I have tried "relic" in that location but I tend to do better with my coin program or using "Fast" due to the loads of trash and iron scattered around.
Maybe but I think those cans were for something else. Those camps/structures were there back in the 20s, 30s, and 40s before they were bull dozed over.
Newer deus user here, iv been using the FAST program everywhere because of the high EMI in the area i hunt in, any incite on if thats a good or bad move?? Found coins and everything but i dont wanna be missing anything. Thanks!
Fast is fine but limited on depth. I use it a lot in very high trashy areas. If you have EMI try moving into a single freq and try each one until the EMI goes. away.
Hey man...why is it when you record me you put the video in fat boy mode and when you record you it's in skinny boy mode? #1 Fan Boy out (I spit my coffee out in the beginning of the video.....good one!)
Live in the Ca. Desert & man i hate Rattlesnakes! The people that say "your in their habitat" or "if you get bit its your fault" are idiots!! I know 2 people that got bit last year, one guy got off his bike to take a leak & got popped standing next to a rock & a lady at a tea party that sat her purse down in someone's back yard & got it from a Green Mojave Rattlesnake which are really bad! No use for a poisonous snake! Look into Turtleskin guards, been wearing em for several years, very comfortable, light & give you some peace of mind, especially when your miles from the nearest hospital. Out here they even help with the cactus!
Heck yea those snakes can bite through those boots, then inject their venom, wrap their bodies around your leg, until they amputate your leg from your body, then take your deus2 away from you.
In the UK we have zero issues with snakes or spiders! Feel so blessed lol
That would be nice.
Always interesting to see you reflect over different use of the D2!
🙏🇸🇪
Thanks Rune. Its a fun machine to use.

Both great machines. Glad you are enjoying the D2.

Thanks my friend. Don't worry Rocky is still around. I'll get him back in the mix sooner or later.

Thank you sir and I know what you mean. I am very careful around those types of areas you mention. Black snakes tend to be lurking LOL
I think of that every time I go out. You are welcome Scott.

night night you will be asleep soon. I'll check out your pics. Thanks for sharing. I've been on the road and email is lagging.
Another great video! My only advice would be...head over to Predator tools and get ya a quality shovel...lol
But I like mine 😆
Thanks!
Wow that is super cool thank you! I really appreciate it.
*_👻Will be nice when the 'Cloak & Dagger' surrounding the Manticore ends._*
I hear you, hopefully soon.

Would be the different between Fast and Fast 40??

LOL I'll have to double check my camera. Gotcha! on the Fan Boy haha.

Interesting, I never heard of the Turtleskin guards where can you get them? Thanks!
Should I even bother digging this next target? Ehh… fork it!

Holy Moly I'm having night mares tonight :-) Thank you again for your generosity. Truly appreciated.
