It is a common mistake to set the sensitivity at 90 or higher. Set the snsitivity at the mid 70 to lower 80 and reactivity not less than 3 for iron infested areas. You'll be surprised.
There has been much written about coil size and effectiveness. Since I own all the D2 coils, I can tell you they all separate very well. Coil size for me is dictated by its ability to fit in tight areas around colonial homesites as they have been logged off many, many times and are always in some stage of regrowth. Like I carry a folding saw in my pack along with ratcheting pruners thick. My Predator is always very sharp. So the 9 inch gets the nod for me, but in less cluttered areas, the 11 or 13 might be just fine for many. Depth is a non-issue in New England, as woods targets are 4-7 inches deep. I'm actually hoping for a 9 x 5 D2 coil for even more agility in the woods!!!
@@MentalMetal Right on, feel free to share, its a fun program and I set you a pic of 2023 finds so far .... but it's no replacement for Lidar, a GPS and shoe leather. Gotta find those hidden homesites, it's worth the work 🤓
Thanks for testing Scott! I think if you when you cut TID off it defaults it off in all programs and even when you cut the machine off until you go back and cut it back on. That TID on will really help with 7 and 8 numbers. Just remember when it is on it is on for all programs, same with off. Me and TNSharpshooter did some testing with this feature some. Thanks for sharing, buddy! 😊
why XP don't sail package with the HF epileptical coil ??? thats the only why i dont buy me a XP metal detector for the moment , i still use a chinees clone of the Tekneticks F2 or Gf2 t2 , and seriously , that machine have beat almost all machine on the market for 156 € and i believe better ,would be with XP and the HF epileptical coil , but 10 times the price , but when you love eit ,you don't madder the price , i like to try Xp Deus 2 to see the diference , but can't find video's with that setup , why ???? i glad to see your Question , and looks like it isn't repond , bahhhh
Question....my controller easily pops off stem on my Desus 2, it's hard to tell from your video but are using any kind of aftermarket type mount for your controller, just looks like there's just a little additional material around your controller. Long time subscriber, always look forward to new videos.
Dan, iffysignals taught me this one ..... get some RTV and fill in the space behind the 2 prongs that hold the control on. Let it dry 24 hours and put your controller back on. I will hold now.
Thanks great help been looking at getting 11fmf coil for the ws6master. Brought up Friday night in live chat .Seen some come with lower rod on sale but don't know if lower rod is different on ws6master and deus2. Plus you mention 2 programs fast 40 and another I don't have on the ws6master updated to 1.1 or 1.10 .Thanks for your time.Say hi to rockie for me.Using your deep hc program.
I just did a similar test between the Manticore and my D2. I’d say my test wasn’t as exhaustive-just the programs as they are with no adjustments. My conclusion was that neither would hit the coin I used amongst the nails. To be fair there was a large nail slightly elevated by a clump of grass. I really like these tests though, kinda confirms the idea that we never get it all! I told my wife I would sell either the D2 or the M, and just keep ONE high end machine, but I really can’t bring myself to part with either one, lol..😂
Hi Randy, if you are a relic guy playing in iron like I do, keep the D2 and learn to set it up. If just general detecting, pick the one that feels best and you are most confident with, they are both great machines. The D2 is an amazing relic machine.
This answer sucks but it all depends on your conditions. Silencer is just an iron filter so the higher you set it, the more iron your are shutting out. If you run it wide open (Silencer at 0) you might get some extra depth but you are also going to hear a lot of the iron and ground noise. Using a Silencer of 2 seems to be the best (sweet spot) and you don't compromise the performance of the machine.
Most of the time I use silencer 0 and the discrimination is pretty good. Some time if is deep iron target You can make mistake. But if You use silencer 2 you can miss some coins close to the iron

Probably, don't waste your money on something you may not like. Try a Minelab X-Terra Pro or a Nokta Score or Double Score before you spend over 1k on a metal detector.

Are you talking about the FE ID settings and turning them off?
@@MentalMetal Yes that is it.

I think the success of his program is the 40khz. There really isn't much else significant about it to be honest.
Where can the custom program that hit the coin both ways be found?
Nail placement matters which is why these test are so unrealistic in the wild. But its interesting to see their limits.

Yes, I have an aftermarket case that I fully endorse and will have a video out on it in a week or so. Thanks for asking.

On mine, I noticed it locks in more firmly if I slide the grip down, mount the controller and then slide the grip back up.
What were those Relic settings?
