- If you thought playing Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! on NES at normal speed is hard, wait until you see 200% speed! It is impossible!

This is great to watch at half speed and see a blitzed sinister1 go 3 rounds with Joe 😂😂
That sounds hilarious actually.
This is the closest to real boxing from a game ive ever seen.
Yeah, that is kinda true actually, haha
Prepare game for light speed!
Light speed is too slow! We're going to have to go right to ludicrous speed!
Prepare game for ludicrous speed!
LOL. Too true, too true.
This was very fun to watch. You know the game isn't messing around when Sinister1 has trouble. This looks completely insane.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was fun to play and maybe I will give it a proper shot someday.
Wow. Just wow. TKO on bald bull at 200% speed in round one. You're a legend!
One of the few moments I actually did well at this challenge and definitely my favorite!
Loving these new videos ❤
So glad to hear that, more videos to come!
So glad to see someone else attempt this madness.
good to see you back, working on more punchout content
A lot of this is stuff that just never made it over from Twitch but it is still new to the majority of people that didn’t catch it live
That was pretty badass

KO of Glass Joe at thirty three seconds of the third round
CONFIRMATION?
😉
Oh man, this seems like it would be basically impossible if you actually have to be able to react to any of the tight cues in the later fights. Are there buffer sequences you could use that work reliably enough to get through everything?
Even the buffers are super hard to pull off at this speed actually. But I think with enough practice you could develop some consistency in doing them. If I ever give this another shot I would try to develop some actual strats including buffers.
If you play it at half speed it looks like how I play punch-out 😂
Check out my tutorial videos and you will be crushing MTPO in no time!
@@Sinister1 I actually learned input buffering and just haven't practiced much 😅
I can only make it to Mr. Sandman before I'm just not fast enough for the Dreamland Express
Speedrun legend gets KO'd by Von Kaiser O.o
Awesome idea for this video! Would 150% be closer to the speedrun or closer to this difficulty?
I actually tried 150% speed but didn't include the footage here as I only fought Bald Bull. I beat him first try so it is definitely easier but I would not say I could be doing all the speedrun strats. A few with practice is doable.
There's gotta be a way to set up a controller that has the minimal input lag of a keyboard.
Hell, even hardwiring the buttons would _work..._ as in, cut traces on an NES controller's circuit board, solder wires to the sides of each button pad, and hook them into the keys you use on a keyboard. Quite a project... but there's _gotta_ be a way...
If you figure it out let me know! I would love to take another crack at this challenge sometime. I want to get to Tyson!
Tko on the bull charge! 😮Wow
Yeah, that was one of my favorite moments :D
Hey bro your a great player
I love your video
So epic, lol. Thanks for these, bro! Love that you take your lumps like a man but go right at it again. 💪✌
Glad you liked the beatdowns. I knew what I was getting into, haha.
Once I saw that Joe was giving you trouble, I knew this wasn't going to end well
Shoulda quit after I beat Bald Bull. It was never gonna get better than that, haha.
If you get good at this, you’ll kill the speedrun world record, just saying.
I think it would be two different skill sets, honestly. I actually do think it would be possible to come up with strats for the 200% speed though. I think I could at least find a way to make it to Tyson, but beating him seems unlikely at best.
@@Sinister1 You're the best man for the job!
Like phred cool punch out but hard
Hrmmm, now you got me thinking I should try this challenge with Phred's Cool Punch-Out...
@@Sinister1 I guarantee you, You'll love it
Didn't know you had a youtube channel. I have a lot of vids to watch now. I don't know why, but I always thought your name was SinisterWon for some reason. lol no idea why
Glad you found me! You are not wrong btw. My old Twitch user name was sinisterwon because sinister1 was taken. But in early 2016 I was able to get a name change and finally got my real name on Twitch!
@@Sinister1 Hell yeah, dude. It always sucks when your name is taken. Glad you got the one you wanted. I did like the slight cockiness of SinisterWon tho. Always winning lol
@@Delineated69 Yeah, it was good when I won but someone made the username Sinisterlost to troll me when things didn't go my way lol
Love these videos hopefully we can get more❤
Thanks! There are more videos to come!
New speed run category?
I think it would be fun to give it a real shot sometime. Not so sure it would become an actual category though.
Achtung, baby! Use Turbo
I can actually mash faster than turbo which is usually 10hz/second but in this case I just need to alternate the buttons to get up faster
'''puts video on 2x speed'''
Hahaha, I hope you made this comment before the end of the video where someone actually says to try 400% speed XD
I can imagine you getting good at this and suddenly 100% speed is way too cake walk, although you beat it blindfolded so it must be lol. I still remember you saying it's basically impossible to beat Tyson blindfolded and then you did. Those are always famous last words, it's like when Cheese says "it won't get any lower' for super Mario 64, always famous last words, and I'm not even a speed runner! I wish I had more time, my job kills me lol.
Oh yeah, never say never in speedrunning. I have learned that lesson...a few times.
I don't know Sin, I still think the slowed down one looks tougher. At least there doesn't seem to be input lag like there was on the slowed down run.
edit1: The amount of presses you can get in per round can't keep up with the sped up timer for sure.
edit2: I wonder how tough some of the later guys are going to be at these speeds. Bull2 to SMM won't be easy to start.
I think this one was tougher and there was still input lag which is magnified by the speed. The worst part was getting up from a knockdown because you have to mash so darn fast. I also didn't know at that time that alternating buttons makes you get up faster.
The later guys would be so insane. I think Soda and Macho would be nearly impossible because they are tremendously fast in real time. After I put this together it did make me want to try again and see how far I could actually get if I put some effort in.
@@Sinister1Yup I get the input lag. But I'm wondering if it's the games clock that seems like lag or if it's the inputs themselves that can't be registered. Definitely noticed it on the knockdown recoveries though for sure.
Awesome. Can't wait to see more of the 200% attempts. I'm hoping I get to catch it if you do it live. I haven't been able to see much stream content lately due to work. So if not I'll get to catch it here.
Another awesome video ❤
