Mars Reyn so you're seriously telling me that you think it goes Kyoshi, ZUKO, Aang then Korra? The last four Avatars except with one inexplicably replaced with someone else? Even if you were blind, basic logic should tell you that it's Roku.

Very interesting. Also how he and Katara both named their respective genders with an emotional attachment Kya for Katara and Bumi for Aang since no doubt Bumi must of died very soon after the war ended and the last friend Aang had to his orginal lifespan

Best book from korra from best to worst: Book 1 (best) Book 3 Book 4 Book 2 (worst) Book 1= just a little hand full of characters which made it easy for all to shine + a lot of aang so it gives the last Airbender feeling Book 3 = it was very good at all but too much characters were introduced who couldn't had time to shine: everyone from the red lotus, except zaheer, Asami, Mako, etc. It focued too less on the main characters like Asami and mako. Only korra and all the new characters could shine here. Book 4 = too much depression. Whey too much. But it was okay. It's not as good as everyone thinks it is. But it's okay. First of all the time period has moved too fast. I mean we only saw 3 books and then we have a 3 year gap? Only Korra has changed in becoming calmer than she was. Everyone else stayed the same: so why this gap if only korra is focused?? I mean in all the other books we had time for the side characters to shine but this book was just about korra and kuvira. Totally. Book 2: Where the hell are the spirit portals from? We never heard from them in the last Airbender. Everyone who saw the last Airbender thought that only spiritual people can enter the spirit world like aang (bc he is the avatar) or iroh. But it's not possible for all the humans to enter the spirit world!! We never heard from them and we never saw them in book 1 of last Airbender, although we were in the northern and southern watertribe. Anyways the spirits look so differently from them in last Airbender. I thought we have cool spirits like Hei Bai or Koh. No we have transparent monsters who can change their colors... And then the story of Unalaq trying to free vatuu. Then raava dies and then not... Korra loses the connection to her past lives... I mean why?? The show should have been like the last Airbender. Roku helped aang and now we wanted to see how Aang can help korra. That's what we wanted to see: how the old generation gibes the lessons to the new one. But no we didn't. We just saw aang two times in book 1 and that's it... He doesn't help korra. Totally stupid.
Korra gets a lot of criticism for the way she acts when she first gets to Republic City (ordering food with no money, taking Naga down the road the wrong way, etc) but keep in mind that she had never left the Southern Water Tribe. She's been kept in that compound her ENTIRE life under guard of the White Lotus. She's never used money before and probably hasn't seen a road either. The Avatar equivalent of a country bumpkin. : )
yes. like the dai li, those who were once unanimously known as good guys can become stagnant, terrible and even corrupt. as a show korra handles this very well and realistically.
Aang died at the age of 66 btw. This takes place 70 years after the last airbender. Korra is 17 years old. And it is kinda funny, Aang didn´t want to be the avatar when the world needed/wanted one and Korra wants to be the avatar in a world which doesn´t want a Avatar.
@@idropzy5721 She did not said 4th grandchild. If you watch the episode again carefully, she said that she will die in her sleep when her 3rd great grandchild will born.
The fighting by the way DOES pay close attention to the movements, it's just no longer the same fighting style, they now use a more modern boxing/MMA type fighting, instead of more historical martial arts forms. Which actually makes sense, when cultures blend and modernize, martial arts forms blend and modernize, and that's when you get MMA.
I don’t know why people automatically assume Legend of Korra doesn’t put as much effort into it’s choreography. Every fight in the show shows extreme precision and every character fights differently. In fact ATLA style fighting is used in Korra, but just by the older characters. So I actually The like the more diverse styles of fighting in Korra. It feels really expanded upon.
+Gamelover254 _"I don’t know why people automatically assume Legend of Korra doesn’t put as much effort into it’s choreography."_ My personal theory is that, for a lot of people at least, it's not so much that they automatically assume LoK doesn't put as much thought and effort into its choreography, but that it's simply easier to notice thought and effort being put into something you're not too familiar with. _Korra_ 's bending uses a lot of Western styles of fighting for the choreography, which I hypothesize don't stand out as much to your typical Western audience as the Eastern styles of A:TLA do. I also hypothesize that the same reason causes people to think there is less variety in _The Legend of Korra_ 's moves, when I know that at the very least both Boxing and MMA are used -- if not other Western Martial Arts as well, but I wouldn't know at this point -- and Boxing and MMA are decidedly not the same. Yet they appear similar to most viewers, because they will be more familiar with them then with, say, Tai Chi; or let alone with stuff Ba Gua Zhang or Hung Ga Kung Fu.
snapgab Yeah it's very strange that people assume there's less effort put into the movement and choreography, just because it's a different fighting style than ATLA. Serious insult to the storyboard artists and animators.
"I-Is that Azula?" "I think it's Azula" Why would Azula even have a statue of her erected in the city she would've prevented existing in the first place if she and Ozai and won. What the hell dude.
When this show first came out. I hadn’t seen Aang for soooo long. When the avatar theme kicks in in the intro and it pans to statue of Aang I legit started crying
Did you know, Tenzins sky bison is named Oogie. Sokka called Aang and Katara's love Oogies so basically Tenzin named his sky bison after the love between his parents!
I guess all those years under the ice eventually caught up with him? Or maybe he was killed in battle? There are many reasons why he could have died (relatively) young.
66 is actually pretty young compared to most of his friends. Zuko was 16 when Aang was 13 so in season 2 he has to be (16-13)+66+17 = 86 years old, Katara at least 84, Toph appears in the last season and she is 83+3 = 86 by then. We don't know how old Sokka was when he died though but overall, lifespan in Avatar are clearly at least similar to modern current world, and possibly more since there are several character who reach 100+ and are still in great shape (like Kyoshi who lived 200+, Guru Pathik, King Bumi...).
Hey normies. Appa is not in the Legend of Korra. He died along with Aang because they are spiritually connected. Just like how Roku and his dragon are.
Toph: “lets break some rules!!!” Becomes founder of Police Department 😂 also Aang knew one element had to learn the rest and humble, Korra knew 3/4 has to learn the last, little spoiled. Complete opposites. Have fun guys!!!!
YES! Thank god you're doing this! Watching your Airbender reactions was a nice throwback to my childhood and I was always looking out for your reactions to my favourite scenes. But with this I can now watch along with you, not knowing how things turn out! After all I only ever watched the first 5 episodes of Korra, back when they came out. This is great :D (I usually hate reaction videos. The whole idea of them. But for some strange reason, you guys are the exception. Especially because your pre- and post episode analysis does enrich the series, rather than just sitting there, like all the other react channels)
Ahsim Nreiziev I think I'll stick to the cozy four though ;) One channel's enough. I'd rather watch sth with my flatmates than some youtuber. But thanks
I'm jealous of that. I wish I could forget this show and watch their fresh reactions, especially when the really cool stuff happens that has to do with the other show, since they only just freshly watched it aswell. I didn't watch the pre/post discussion of ATLA because there were lots of wrong predictions and I was just constantly like "mmm, no", but their spontaneous reactions were fun to watch. Kinda lame to already know exactly how it turns out. This show's story is so good tho (even though it deviates a bit from the original's), can't wait to watch their reactions. Honestly the first few episodes are a bit boring.
Korra was essentially made to be the complete opposite of what Aang was. Aang never wanted to be the Avatar, while she wants nothing but. Aang is wise and spiritual, she's immature and physical. A lot of people dislike her for that, being such an utter departure from what everything Aang represented, tho Aang was also pretty damn immature at the beginning of his story, so I think we can all agree to give Korra a break there. :P Either way, a little something has been missing from Wednesdays over the past couple o' months, so I'm very glad to see Avatar coming back finally! Enjoyed going through ATLA with you Cozy 4, and will be looking forward to going through LoK with you all!
Austral yes aang was immature but he grew a lot through out the show. I feel the writers made Korra repeat the same mistakes and mindset until season 4, so that's why I have some problems with her
@@kingkylie9655 With each villain. The difference between growing for both avatars was the villains in my opinion. Ozai and his family were just crazy mustache twirling villains while korras were more deep and were right in their own way
One of the best things Korra did was change the overall setting. The steampunky 1920's atmosphere and increased technology really makes the show feel fresh and different. They didn't just go for "more of the same" like a lot of sequels try to do. That said, love the reaction, guys. Given how you guys enjoyed even the lesser parts of ALTA, you are going to LOVE Korra.
I don´t know... For me, the setting was too modern with too many modern references. I mean, it was something new, and visually pleasing, but it dind´t fit in this philosophy and mythos presented in A:TLA. One of the many reasons I stopped watching Korra and don´t think it´s even as good as A:TLA. But still pretty good...
If you didn't finish it, you cant speak on the show as a whole. Also the philosophy of ATLA is timeless, thats why us who aren't in their world and time period could relate to it even though we have cell phones and cars and planes. Cmon if you actually think about it, it's really obvious that the philosophy was timeless, we arent characters in the show and yet it applies to our lives.
Also may I remind you of the outlandish technological advancements the fire nation made during the course of ATLA. Almost everyone against this show brings up that half baked complaint and they ignore parts of ATLA to justify such a half assed complaint.
The modern setting was okay for me(and yes I’ve watched the show completely. Twice) I liked Atla because it had a huge eastern influence( down to gyatso’s name and how they discover the new air nomad Avatar) and although LOK still does, the modernization and animation feels like a western push. But I do disagree with people when they say it’s not feasible to be modern. Roughly 70 years has passed since Atla, and in Atla there was steam power which would coincide with the industrial revolution. It’s perfectly logical that LOK would be more modern. I still love LOK as a whole, but I just wasn’t fond of the modernization. Although I do give props to them for doing so, as it really made people get away from Atla mentality
Ben Wenger The lack of bending influence is really disappointing. It literally just feels like benders in New York. It sucks. The old cities in ATLA were all molded around bending. There is none of that in Korra (with the exception of Zaofu)
Just wanted to point out something that I haven't seen yet. Something you guys want to keep in mind is that Korra was originally only ordered as a mini series. They were only given a single 12 episode season rather than how on Avatar where they knew they had three 22 episode seasons to tell their story. So Korra doesn't feel as over arcing as Avatar did. The same thing goes for season 2. And then seasons 3 and 4 were ordered at together.
As much as I love Korra, I would have loved to see the show that had the 4 books given to them off the bat. If they can make something good with individual plot lines for each book, imagine how much better it could have been. I’m still very happy with what we got though (:
@@Gamelover254 I agree. The fact that there's so much cliche anime exposition to explain what happening (looking at yooouuuuuu, Unalaq and season 2) made Korra really hard for me to watch. There are so many good ideas and characters and plots and other pieces throughout the series, but they're sporadic and not finely woven like AtLA. Hopefully the live action Netflix series really captures the essence of AtLA so I can have more bending in my life.
Instead of comparing the two shows, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend Of Korra, to eachother, think of them as the same way the Harry Potter movies and Fantastic Beasts' movies are compared. They are 2 different shows with different story-lines; but exist in the same world and same time line.
"I feel like it's the modern world taking on the old spiritual world." Boom. In the series premiere, they got one of the major over arching themes of the ENTIRE series and how that contributes Korras internal conflict and growth. Can't wait to watch this with you guys. Blindwaves almost done with season 3, and they love it, and I'm starting all over again with the Normies. This series ended 3 years ago and it still impacts so much.
So glad you guys enjoyed it! And just a tiny thing, I don't know if you realized it but that wasn't Appa in the beginning, it was a different flying bison. This bison has a slightly different fur pattern with multiple brown stripes running down his back. Oh, and I just realized they also said his name in this episode, it's "Oogi" :)
James Liggins to be fair not everyone is as observant at first glance or second glance. I know i thought it was Appa at first as well until i heard Tenzin call him Oogie. Then i looked closer and noticed this bison was different
With regards to the pacing, that's one of the biggest differences. Last Airbender was a show that had a planned ending to build to, while Korra was originally ordered as a miniseries and only afterwards ordered for an additional season, year by year. So it's a more season-by-season basis, with each one having its own big villain arc.
Someone posted this: "How do you know it was unplanned? It is a similar format to other TV shows, like 24: new season, new challenge, and new bad guy. Nickelodeon came to us at the end of 2009 with a twelve episode “mini-season” already green-lit for a new series. They let us do pretty much whatever we wanted with it, as long as it was in the Avatar universe and featured bending. Their one request was that each of the Books have its own contained arc, which was fine with Mike and me. I think it was important to the network because initially they didn’t know how many of these mini-seasons they would want to pick up! They wanted to test the waters. But they grew confident as we progressed and we were eventually lucky enough to get them to pick it up through Book Four before we even premiered Book One. www.vulture.com/2013/09/legend-of-korra-creators-on-the-series-plans.html or here (the first question) Before we even aired book 1 we had already been picked up through book 4. ua-cam.com/video/ytauJfsyCE4/v-deo.html Or here bryankonietzko.tumblr.com/post/55788253484/to-give-you-a-sense-of-just-how-long-it-takes-to and according to wikipedia: Book Four: Balance, the final season, was produced in parallel to the previous two seasons. The crew, at one point, worked on approximately 30 episodes at the same time: post-production for season 2, production for season 3 and pre-production for season 4"
With the expetion of seasons 3 and 4, ordered and planned together (hence the continuity making them stand out as better for many, with a few episodes matching ATLA)
Woo! Let's do this!! Your excitement so far is so infectious! It's confirmed before S1 aired that LOK takes place 70 years or so after ATLA. Yes! The music for LOK, like ATLA, is just as dope. Jeremy Zuckerman is back at it again! And yeah, LOK is a lot more anime-esque than ATLA. The animation really upped a lot as well. Korra's view of the Avatar is such a stark contrast to Aang's. It's refreshing to see how different they are so far. Aang never wanted to be the Avatar whereas Korra appears to really love and embrace it. For me, the show hooked me right from the start. I know a lot of people were skeptical at first when they announced LOK. I was too, but I went into it with an open mind and heart and I don't regret it at all.
Gamelover254 Aw, thanks! I just have so much love for both shows that I can't help myself lol. I could also say the same for you and the others I usually see :)
You know one of the reasons people don't like Korra as much as the original series is because they're dealing with issues closer to our time. A bit more controversial in terms of how people react to that kind of stuff. Personally I loved a lot of Korra (I prefer Korra S1 to TLA S1) but everyone has their own opinion. Can't wait to see what you guys think!
It's not dealing with modern issues that pisses people off. It's that it deals with it POORLY. There was so much potential to actually tackle modern issues in a realistic and cool manner, but the show didn't DARE go there. The show wasn't courageous, it didn't tackle any actual issues, it just used them as a background to make the story seem deeper than it actually is.
Actually I hate the show because of Terrible writing, rewriting of ATLA history, destruction of ATLA tradition, and horrible Character Arcs. The only good seasons are 1 and 3, but only because of the villains. Also season 1 ruined by the twist at the end.
Despite some people not liking Korra, it will always be part of my favourite series and I thoroughly enjoyed it! From the music, to the nostalgia to the storytelling and universe, it made me feel something that I've never felt for any other series and I hope you experience something similar! Can't wait for them to see Beginnings
The Avatar universe is so unique and unprecedented. I think that's the reason I like LTOK so much, probably on the same scale as ATLA and I only started watching LTOK 2 weeks ago.
I think there's just a lot of disappointment(myself included). There's a lot to pick apart, but doing a little research, I had no idea a 4 season series wasn't the plan originally; heck, a 12 episode season wasn't the plan originally, and I can associate those issues with the network rather than the creators. It's a shame how Nickelodeon treated Korra, really.
@@TacticalMikey The show ratings tanked hard, terrible writing and a 100% unlikeable protagonist, it was almost cancelled in Season 2. Nickelodeon let them finish the show on UA-cam out of respect for their legacy. It's not Nickelodeon fault, Bryan and Michael shot themselves on the head by not bringing Aaron back, the writter who made ATLA the masterpiece that is today.
I feel like anyone who takes a little break after ATLA always really enjoys this premiere. The show stumbles a lot but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t tear up when it ended. Pretty satisfying addition to the Avatar universe overall
QMaster It's only the first episode. There's not a lot to hate. Some of my (and others that dislike Korra as a whole) least favorite parts have yet to come yet. Just the intro. Can't really be screwed up that bad.
Someone may have mentioned it already, but The Legend of Korra was originally intended to just be a single season mini-series. But then Nickelodeon ordered ordered a second season. So they made another season. But then Nickelodeon asked for two more seasons. So the show does not have one over-arching story because they never knew it would go on for four seasons from the beginning. Surprised you guys didn't say anything about the police metalbending. Also, it's great to have the cozy four back together! No offense against the other normies, but you guys are the best!
I feel like the huge technology advancement makes more sense if you read the comics. A lot more things make sense. They're not necessary, but you just get better background information. And you can always find them free online.
Meltr Numbers don't always represent actual quality either though. There are loads of people that HATE Korra (as can be seen by the comment section) Most people are just watching for fun and thus enjoy it. It's good entertainment. But looking at it in detail. Analyzing it and seeing the storytelling, development, etc. that's when people notice flaws and that's why a lot of people that dislike it feel that way. It's really just a matter of how in depth you analyze the show. (Not to say the more in depth you look the more you hate it, plenty of people look in depth and find beauty despite its flaws)
Yeah, people giving money to the hobby the enjoy is such a sad state... This says more about the severe limitation of your brain than it says about Marco Estebar viewing habits.
Korra is an incredibly intelligent show. ATLA dealt with some serious themes as the show progressed and Korra just picks up straight off of that. The show may seem disconnected at first due to how there isn't one central villain, but by the end of the third season you can see the whole thing in a while new light. Each season deals with a certain type of attack on what Korra cherishes and it's all about her place in the world. A modern world, less in tune with spirituality.
It’s also interesting (my friend pointed this out) that each season deals with a different type of government and the consequences of each: first season was a type of communism (everyone is equal nobody is special), second can be like religious fanaticism or fundamentalism, third jumps off that concept and brings up anarchy, and the fourth is a fascist dictatorship- whereas in ATLA we had one big bad and that was a monarch
No, LOK is dumb. It tries to pretend to be intelligent by skirting on the edge of complex themes while never really developing them in a meaningful way
I love how after just one episode Suraj picks up how different their world is and how difficult it can be for the avatar to deal with modern problems. I'm so impressed.
the good thing about these reactions is seeing you guys having the same feeling i had many years ago: kinda bittersweet, knowing aang passed away, katara is an old lady now, and world spun. the nostalgic feeling is like we saw all 100years passing
This might seem out of nowhere but here's a little fact about the last series. Princess Yue is literally named after the moon. 'Yue' or 月 is 'Moon' in the Chinese/Mandarin dialect translation. And 'Suki' or 'Tsuki' is 'Moon' translated into Japanese. Sokka's two love interests were both named after the moon.
They are going to love Korra. Omg I'm so hype to go on this journey with the normies. The first season is great, but when they hit they later seasons they are really going to blow their shit!!!
I think Korra will probably be a bit more enjoyable to you guys in a different way than ATLA. Like other people have said, it deals with more modern issues, it’s more adultish storylines, and it still maintains some of the humor that the previous series did. Also- the fighting scenes though! They get so good
Human progress is mind blowing, and many people are surprised by the technological jump between Aang and Korra... But sincerely, the Fire Nation was at a Industrial Revolution stage of technology during The Legend of Aang (the rest of the world was held back by the war), with things like dirigibles, steam powered machines and industries. If you compare that to the real world, and take it that Legend of Aang happened somewhere between 1830 and 1850 (advanced Industrial Revolution) then go 70 years ahead, you get some very, very similar technological progress. Avatar goes even beyond a little, because bending can really speed things up (easier to find electricity with Lightning Benders, to make roads with Earth Benders, prepare metal pieces for industry with Metal Benders, Water and Fire benders working together can make Steam technology reach whole new grounds of efficiency etc.).
When I first saw Korra when it first came out I didn’t like it. I thought it felt like a teenage drama Nickelodeon use to play and I couldn’t get into the new modern age stuff. I saw a few episodes then dropped it. Now I picked it up a few months ago again after all these years and I freaking loved it, even more than original avatar. Maybe I’m just more I think but I’ve heard similar stories from others

I remember watching the last air bender, when its ended, i was crying so hard. That series is my runway door to forget my crazy life before. And when i find out there another series, i am so excited!!!
Also it has a different vibe each season it was only meant to be one season but it became to popular and became 4. Each season has its own "Endgame" (you will get that joke at the end of season 1)
Alright.... here we go again!! I love Korra a lot....it's a different show with adequate familiar things from TLA.... This opening completely hooked me up when I first saw it....Glad to see you guys had the same reaction!!! Dont worry about comparisons guys.....enjoy it as it's own show...FireLord's story line was great but this one feels more close to home....it's the perfect approach to a second series..... I immediately re-pledged when I saw this in the shedule....Even though I stopped my pledge after avatar, I was waiting for ths ride to begin!!! Cant wait to see the next episode....lets go!
It never fails. Every time I watch the intro of the first episode I start to cry. After all the years waiting and all the hype, I've never thought that Aang won't be there. That just simply broke me inside.
What part of “becoming the Avatar” was confusing for Micky? When Aang died, a waterbender was born who could control all four, and it was undoubtedly Korra. If he thought she wasn’t the Avatar yet, when and how did he think she would be?
The intro is the four latest avatars: Kyoshi, Roku, Aang, Korra.
That is so not Roku.
SPOILERS
That is obviously Zuko in the beginning.
Look it up.
That makes no sense. It's obviously Roku. Still, Zuko is Roku's great grandson so it's fair to say there's a resemblance.
Kaihu It's Zuko
Mars Reyn so you're seriously telling me that you think it goes Kyoshi, ZUKO, Aang then Korra? The last four Avatars except with one inexplicably replaced with someone else? Even if you were blind, basic logic should tell you that it's Roku.

Best book from korra from best to worst:
Book 1 (best)
Book 3
Book 4
Book 2 (worst)
Book 1= just a little hand full of characters which made it easy for all to shine + a lot of aang so it gives the last Airbender feeling
Book 3 = it was very good at all but too much characters were introduced who couldn't had time to shine: everyone from the red lotus, except zaheer, Asami, Mako, etc.
Mayhemm007 she's just stupid and so is Maku
yes. like the dai li, those who were once unanimously known as good guys can become stagnant, terrible and even corrupt. as a show korra handles this very well and realistically.
Yeah, I love how Korra is completely socially inept. Makes sense, she never really had friends growing up.
The problem is that Korra's attitude hardly changes throughout the entire series.
Plus, Aang pretty much smashed up every town that he traveled to, at least Korra only did it in her first episode.
Wow he died so young. Now i feel sad.
does he not need to be dead to another avatar show up? If he died 66 and korra is 17 then 83 year has passed
@@ZoioGame the person meant 70 years after the show ends, meaning when the aang gang were kids.

+Gamelover254
_"I don’t know why people automatically assume Legend of Korra doesn’t put as much effort into it’s choreography."_
My personal theory is that, for a lot of people at least, it's not so much that they automatically assume LoK doesn't put as much thought and effort into its choreography, but that it's simply easier to notice thought and effort being put into something you're not too familiar with.
Serious insult to the storyboard artists and animators.
snapgab I've literal seen better choreographed fights at my school

Also, around 70 years has passed since the end of A:TLA. Aang died when he was 66, and Korra is 17.
I guess all those years under the ice eventually caught up with him? Or maybe he was killed in battle?
There are many reasons why he could have died (relatively) young.
surelychoo *166 years
Yeah the ice took its toll and he died in his sleep peacefully as opposed to most avatars
Rip my boy
Mayhemm007 I mean, medicines weren't that advanced in his time period. 66 is actually doing pretty good 😂
66 is actually pretty young compared to most of his friends.

Watching your Airbender reactions was a nice throwback to my childhood and I was always looking out for your reactions to my favourite scenes.
But with this I can now watch along with you, not knowing how things turn out! After all I only ever watched the first 5 episodes of Korra, back when they came out.
This is great :D
(I usually hate reaction videos. The whole idea of them. But for some strange reason, you guys are the exception. Especially because your pre- and post episode analysis does enrich the series, rather than just sitting there, like all the other react channels)
Blind Wave, for example, does the same too. People like Liam Catterson try to, but it's harder if you're on your own.
Ahsim Nreiziev I think I'll stick to the cozy four though ;) One channel's enough. I'd rather watch sth with my flatmates than some youtuber.

If that's how you feel, you should also check out semblance of sanity. They have plenty of post episode discussions
Either way, a little something has been missing from Wednesdays over the past couple o' months, so I'm very glad to see Avatar coming back finally! Enjoyed going through ATLA with you Cozy 4, and will be looking forward to going through LoK with you all!
Austral yes aang was immature but he grew a lot through out the show. I feel the writers made Korra repeat the same mistakes and mindset until season 4, so that's why I have some problems with her
Nichole Kim : Aang made plenty of the same mistakes particularly not taking his avatar duties seriously.
@@wowlover3000 no korra grew a lot actually

Ooooh here we go!! Legend of Korra hype! Can't wait for the cozy four to be happily surprised about the merits this show has!

Nickelodeon absolutely fucked this show
Instead of comparing the two shows, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend Of Korra, to eachother, think of them as the same way the Harry Potter movies and Fantastic Beasts' movies are compared. They are 2 different shows with different story-lines; but exist in the same world and same time line.
And thankfully Korra isn't trash unlike Fantastic Beasts
Couldn't have said it better myself! Both shows are amazing in their own right

So glad you guys enjoyed it! And just a tiny thing, I don't know if you realized it but that wasn't Appa in the beginning, it was a different flying bison.
Someone posted this:
"How do you know it was unplanned?
It is a similar format to other TV shows, like 24: new season, new challenge, and new bad guy. Nickelodeon came to us at the end of 2009 with a twelve episode “mini-season” already green-lit for a new series. They let us do pretty much whatever we wanted with it, as long as it was in the Avatar universe and featured bending. Their one request was that each of the Books have its own contained arc, which was fine with Mike and me. I think it was important to the network because initially they didn’t know how many of these mini-seasons they would want to pick up! They wanted to test the waters. But they grew confident as we progressed and we were eventually lucky enough to get them to pick it up through Book Four before we even premiered Book One.

bryankonietzko.tumblr.com/post/55788253484/to-give-you-a-sense-of-just-how-long-it-takes-to and according to wikipedia:
Book Four: Balance, the final season, was produced in parallel to the previous two seasons.

Parenegade agreed
It's not dealing with modern issues that pisses people off. It's that it deals with it POORLY. There was so much potential to actually tackle modern issues in a realistic and cool manner, but the show didn't DARE go there. The show wasn't courageous, it didn't tackle any actual issues, it just used them as a background to make the story seem deeper than it actually is.
MayFlower Ann I just love the villain so much
Boruto Uzumaki really? What's wrong with you dude lol

Most people are just watching for fun and thus enjoy it.
Hunter Tober-McGivern Or you could keep an open mind and still find it to be a stupid over hyped cartoon.

Now that korra is on Netflix I came back to watch y’all reaction after every episode I watch.😂
Well, this didn't aged well...
Mateyo do what are u talking about? It still stands
It tries to pretend to be intelligent by skirting on the edge of complex themes while never really developing them in a meaningful way
@@reubenjake8573 prolly cos of the time the creators/writers/producer had...like they didnt have the luxury to really expand on one theme i guess?

This might seem out of nowhere but here's a little fact about the last series. Princess Yue is literally named after the moon. 'Yue' or 月 is 'Moon' in the Chinese/Mandarin dialect translation. And 'Suki' or 'Tsuki' is 'Moon' translated into Japanese. Sokka's two love interests were both named after the moon.
4:44 - 4:47 Rana and Suraj have the exact same mannerisms LMAO
This show is gonna be devisive. Im excited to see your different opinions
You guys are gonna LOVE the fights in this show. And the show literally gets better with each season. The 3rd and 4th seasons are crazy good
Republic city is a 1920's city. Even the cars.
Yeah, basically we jump from about the 1860s to the 1920s.
the normies have so much rewatch ability its crazy good work guys
You are going to love it. The third season is my favorite, but then again the main antagonist is played by a distant cousin of mine!
They finished it already
I’m so glad you guys are enjoying it so far, I can’t wait to see what you guys think of the rest of the show ☺️
When I first saw Korra when it first came out I didn’t like it.
I Love Nahid
*Korra steals fish from a public park*
*Police try to arrest her for stealing*
Nahid: FUCKING TYRANTS!
how did i not came across this group reacting to my fav cartoon of all time SOONER?! I LOVE THIS BTW! i was planning to rewatch legend of korra again and this is a good way to do it. it's like watching it with you guys
I remember watching the last air bender, when its ended, i was crying so hard.
That series is my runway door to forget my crazy life before.
And when i find out there another series, i am so excited!!!
The sequel series is just as fun as it’s predecessor 😃 And so... a new Avatar arises
The amount of sheer joy Rana experiences is so adorable
4:44 completely in sync 😂
8:16 the pain heart in this bro 🥺
When that actor played J Jonah Jameson, it stuck in my head. Everything else he did, I kept seeing JJJ. Tenzin finally changed that for me.
Also it has a different vibe each season it was only meant to be one season but it became to popular and became 4. Each season has its own "Endgame" (you will get that joke at the end of season 1)
Yo it's been 8 years since this came out and I'm still 100% in denial that Aang and Sokka are dead
Alright.... here we go again!!
I love to see the “Cozy 4” back in action! Actually this series was created, and mainly written by the same two that created Avatar!
I can't wait till you guys get further into the other seasons of the show. You guys are in for so many surprises!
8:11 is where everyone's heart sank ;^(
4:43 Suraj and Rana did the exact same thing haha
Bro I’m 2 years late but I’m loving this reaction. Bout to watch it all lol
