Absolutely this! I'm getting a bit carried away with it all for this time of year though. Need to make sure I don't get ahead of myself with plants being grown too early.
ive ordered basket of fire chilis after seeing yours ive also done the boxing day onions and i saved millions of sweet pea seeds from summer so doing those too, just itching to garden again now lol
The basket of fire chillies turned out fab and I'll deffo be doing them again this year. 👍 I keep saying I'm not going to order any more seeds but somehow the post man just keeps bringing them 😁

Hoping to get my onions and chillies done tomorrow. If I’ve got time I’ll chuck some caulie seeds in as well. They’ll all be inside for a while yet but if it stays unseasonably warm I might gamble a few outside sooner than I normally would
I've sown onios boxing day, 1st time I've grown from seed so fingers crossed. My greenhouse has lots of cabbage and pak choi plants that have survived the severe frost so hopefully I will get an early crop of greens. They are covered with fleece and some bubble wrap

I showed my onions on boxing day, I did red baron and toughball. Might try some other seeds, was thinking of doing pepper, but not sure if it's to earlier
Ahhh pretty sure I have some toughball on order. Never tried them before but giving them a go this year, well that is if they’re the ones I’ve ordered 😁 I was tempted to put sweet peppers in the mix for January but holding off another month or so and just sticking with the chillies for now.
@@marksallotmentplot with toughball u can grow them from August and September, so I get an earlier crop. I'm always wanting to push the boundaries but with the weather the way it is, think it's going to be a differcult year.
Will you re sow Leeks later Mark? Jan is a little early for Leeks to stand through winter (as a winter crop), sow now for exhibition or showing...All the best for 2023 Mark!...Steve...🙂

Hi Mark, ive sown onions seeds last week, not growing from onion sets as im fed up of them bolting. Ive started my sweet peas in October & are doing well in my polytunnel. I already have cauli, calebrese & winter lettuce growing in my polytunnel & seem to be surviving through the extremely cold weather we recently had too 🤞 my first Winter with my new polytunnel 🙂 love your videos, always lots of helpful advice. Glad you had a good Christmas Mark. I am like you what have we got to lose a few $ worth of seeds. I’m going to try my sweet peas in toilet rolls this year so I don’t have to transplant the roots. Have a very Happy Grow Year 2023 🎉🎉

Hi Mark Great seed selection you have there. I s the super 7 on a thermostat, I always thought that they only reached 13 Degrees C where chillies ideal germination temp is 20 Degree C. Take care mate. Happy New Year to you and your family. 👍👍👍👍👍
Cheers Rob. There’s no adjustable thermostat on the Super 7 but its designed to increase the ambient temperature of the compost in the trays by about 8c. I usually have it in my home office and that in combination with the temp of the super 7 seems to do the trick on the germination front 👍 All the best for 2023 mate 🎉
Hi Mark, new subscriber here. Have you tried Asturian Tree Cabbage? I've grown them this year and they're brilliant, just snap off the large lower leaves to eat and it keeps on sprouting, didn't bolt during the heatwave either and still in my garden after the deep frosts we've had. 😁🌱☀️
