It's hard to overstate how good this run is. It's more than a full minute ahead of second place. Not only does he nail every big trick, the run is also filled with lots of subtle but precise time saves, that on their own don't save much time, but added together save dozens of seconds. Huge congrats Jay_cee! Unless there's some crazy new discovery, this one is going to stand for a long time.
You have to grind at the game for thousands of runs; half hour runs where the worst RNG comes towards the end...constantly performing frame perfect tricks, movement manipulations to set yourself in the right position to do those tricks, and precise movement to try and get lag manipulations. Finally you get that great run, with the right RNG, but then comes the thing that most people would rarely be able to do: close out that run when your heart is pounding and you're nearly shaking. That quad floor drop in Dracula's Castle is four tricks in a row requiring 1-2 frame precision, and you only get one shot at it. This is why this run is so good. It's not that it's 100% perfect, it's that who in the world will ever do better?

I was expecting eventually a sub 30 of like 29:58 or something, but nope straight to 29:47. I know this run and practice it, just about everything went right here. Damn greatest speed run to date.

I'm so pissed I missed this live, as I've been watching him live all week and just missed this one stream. Damn. HOWEVER, this is forever the fuckbutt stream. Hilarious. Serious note though - so many small mistakes here and there, time can go down a lot (0.1s at a time) but you fucking KILLED IT this run for sure. Well deserved for the legend you are, sir.

Jay_cee is my freaking hero. When I grow up I want to be just like him and straight take it to Dracs ass in a matter of mins. I think the best I ever did on this game was like 1 hr 15 mins and in under 7 days only because it took me forever to realize the day counter stops in any mansion.
