Now older, slightly scared from bout with cancer, makes fewer personal appearances, but one of Nashville's finest and a great performer that I thoroughly enjoy seeing & saying hello to occasionally at the local Kroger store. God Bless ye John!

Hey john, about half way through Glory of True Love you were shot through profile & damn if I didn't see the Singing' Mailman from back when we both were delivering big ole packages. Not to say that you still aren't.
Bob Charkow do you know what route John delivered mail? My sister swears that he was our mailman when our regular mailman, Bob, would go on vacation. We lived in Forest Park.
Hard to believe we've lost him.

Knew that mandolin player back in the 70s when he'd play the latest Prine tunes...bet he never dreamed he'd be buds with the man. Well deserved

This was after he had cancer and was told he'd never sing again.
John Prine tribute song by songwriter Dennis Callahan
Your love.
@18:40 - "I LOVE YOU!" Me, too, lady. Me, too.
Jason and Dave are great, but I just love it when Pat plays with them. Seems like there's nothing he'd rather do than play a John Prine song.
Damn I would have gone had I seen his name on the flyer! So sad I never got to see the legend himself play.
❤️ for John ...
Anyone know where I can find the audio of this entire set ?
dababe44 a great story teller been listening to him since the 70s still love it 😍
He was amazing to perform after they said he'd never sing again.

@@tericollins1171 I have no idea really, but wonder if it was Maywood. Maybe he was just born in Maywood.
Who is the mandolinist?
Pat McLaughlin
Thank you!
Pats a singer songwriter himself. He used to open a lot of Johns shows. He's one of Johns best friends.
