266 is the 1st. The annual only came out first due to a publishing error, and those annuals had other errors. Claremont said it himself. I’ll take the mainline book, the cover, and the story where he’s actually introduced any day.

I've learnt after many years of mistakes- (and wins) buying/selling stacking crap comics, it's all no good, either buy multiples of the best key you can afford for roi like Jeff did with 181 and keep I for the future or just buy one good book. (And flip your way to the top) That's what I've done flipped my way from a Low grade NM98 to a lower grade ih181. Jod done! ✔

Annual 14 vs Uncanny X-men 266.. imo .. in these type debates where there is some uncertainty or more than one way to look at it.. the best cover usually wins.. just like Hulk 180/181.
There is clearly something magical about ASM 252 as it continues to rise. I understand as it’s my favorite too. The colors and framing of the cover superb.
What does everyone think of aliens vs avengers? The second print just came out this week. I just don’t see a lot of people talking about it, it’s written by jonathan Hickman and the artwork seems like a Ridley Scott story board

If you look at asm 134 the punisher appears in multiple panels with word bubbles on the last page but it's called a cameo and asm 135 is his 2nd appearance.
Re Agatha Hackness. Even if characters like her don't stick around in the MCU, they become more established overall and will be in future animated shows etc for decades. Same with Gorr for example, gone from MCU but now established as a popular character. He will end up recurring, appearing in other media. Maybe they will never get a sharp spike in hype again, but I think these appearances are good to pick up at reasonable prices for the long term. But as part of an overall collection, not for short term speculation.
I have Secret wars #8 but hesitant to sell it as I want to see how Secret wars plays out when that comes out! Will this issue be worth more when that comes out??
RE: ASM 14 : Its not a UK edition that would be printed in the UK , it's the UK price variant, it was printed in the States and shipped to the UK (probably just before the US one as it had to ship for the same date). UK editions / reprints may exist but be of different physical sizes and look very different. I'm mentioning it as Key collector has just started trying to price these and gets it horribly wrong, X-men 101 was 10x out at time in price of writing (just click the ebay button beside it or any major auction, hundreds of sales to back that up or other price sites gocollect etc) Also just for fun .. I note the bad girlfriend copy got its own reprint.
Can Jeff the Golden age Guru, explain why CPV and UKPV's are foreign comics. These comics were printed by Marvel in the US and distributed to Canada and the UK. The only difference is the price! A foreign comic to me and others, is a comic that was printed and distributed within that country!

Yeah there may be over 6000 other 9.8 SW#8 US copies but in CPV there are only 69 total 9.8's.
Just because I have one and not the other 266 is the 1st appearance, but in actuality it's annual. Maybe not storyline wise.

Key Collector does NOT have accurate prices. It is NOT the greatest app in existence. No matter how much they pay Tom to say it.

I don't see how ASM #129 can make the list. The book has been absolutely tanking in price. Collectors don't seem to really want it.
