I'll stick with Hippo. Eric, during your Hippo speedrun there weren't any lines of theory of danger to the Hippo. That said, I'll keep watching because you are so entertaining during your speedruns. Additionally, your Chat is funny, and your reactions to Chat are priceless.
Don’t play the bird as a beginner. Stick to more principled approaches such as e4 or d4. If you like the bird a lot, a more sound opening is b3, aka the Nimzo-Larsen
@@MarcFromBerryland the game against the 500 rated Indian player is a good example. Bad practice to weaken your king and play on the flank instead of in the center. Just a lot of tricks and dangerous gambits, and if your opponents don’t go for those you’ll probably just get into a regular Nimzo-Larsen anyway. You can guarantee a similar setup as a good bird if you just start with b3 and follow it up it with e3 and f4.
Wth was that 500 hundred from india. Dude played 6 move of a tactical gambit line threatening checkmates and forks to just giving every piece in 1 move, that's pretty sus or maybe the plug was turned off midway
For all of you out there wondering why this is so absolutely satisfying to watch but you just can't quite put a finger on why let me tell you. We were all this rating and watched people just blitz out moves that we knew were wrong but we just had absolutely no idea how to punish these moves and it was frustrating to say the least. To be fair we didn't really like the person on the other end of these moves, we studied a bit, knew they didn't, just jumped into chess and we lost to these ridiculous moves more than once, and so we are blessed to have GM's that just slay these individuals every game with complete precision and its so enjoyable to watch, its everything we wanted to do to these players and couldn't. Its sweet revenge even though we are not playing lol.
Nf6 is check, black has to respond to the check by either taking the knight or moving the king. The bishop on c4 also attacks the queen when Nf6+ is played by discovery, so if the king moves we take the queen with the bishop, if the queen takes the knight then the pawn on e5 will recapture.
Eric you cant do high pitch sounds because your Maxilla is recessed, (and your mandible too), (this is restricting the air flow in your nasal pharynx preventing you from making high pitch sounds) you need to see a Maxillofacial Surgeon. Id recommend Dr Paul Coceancig in Sydney, Australia.
I'm 42 seconds into the video and I don't want to say that it is a waste of time yet but to think that a 531 rated player knows the bird opening refutation is a stretch. Nf6 must be ?? "Never seen this before" lol.
18:00 'They're out of book. They're back to being a 500' 😂😂😂
Eric: "I'm not going to take the queen I feel bad, people say I'm a bully".
Also Eric: "I'm not going to mate him now. I want a pawn checkmate"
The Indian 500 was about to blow you off the board but then saw you were a Pooja fan and started going easy on you
He was the actual Pooja fan lol
Lemayo.
I have been playing the Birds opening in blitz (intermediate level) so many victories thanks to your part 1 and now this👍
this is the first series i'm gonna watch till the end
20:11 mark and I'm seeing impossible theoretical knowledge from a 563 rated player. Lol. Very interested in the Bird. Nice video
You let the 1st game drop to 0.3 seconds👀
"If you see mate in 1, find another mate in 1"
This is probably why I'm stuck in the 1200's. Thanks Eric.
Love this vid! thanks. Using it for my Dutch repertoire ;)
Eric: people may blunder pawns at this level.
Me: I just blundered my queen so what. The real game starts now.
Eric, you finally confirmed that you have a adams apple by not being able to do the high-pitched "sheesh" 3:45
technically that is two unrelated things
As the saying goes, when you see a mate in one, look for better. 😂❤
The thing about 500s is we panic.

What is the song at 26:33 ?
29:43 Did Eric miss taking the free knight?
Yup he did
i think he didn’t want to allow Qe3 check? seems like that would open up some attack options for black
31:05
no
The Indian 500 just knew qh4 is mate rest he just reverse engineer I think 😂
Right now I'm only 20 seconds into this video but I think it should be a good one for me because I'm low rated and I play the Bird a lot.

@@ethangilworth7891 Thanks for your input Ethan. I'm interested to know why the Bird is not good for beginners?

Or he's 500
I think he's just 500, but maybe he switched off from between.
wouldnt be surprised if he was using an engine for the first few moves. the contrast after bf5 and nh6 is insane

Me drunkenly checking my subscriptions to find this uploaded 7 minutes ago has been an EXTREMELY welcoming surprise, thank you for the content

29:44 isn't this just a free knight on b4?!!! 😅😂😂😂
6:20 how could he won the queen ? can someone explain ?

For a 480 Lemon had energy
?? This guy must have opened his account at 1000 and gone down to 600
Imagine facing this kind of Indian 500 then you are 600-700 yourself. Scary and devastating staff. O____o

there is no 'refutation' to standard openings. you are thinking of gambits.
Why does Eric always say "check" when he puts his opponent under it?
It's common irl to say check, especially against beginners
GEEEESH!!!
**500** rated player hangs a piece Eric: OMGGGGG 🤯
first go to 3:00 and then go to 9:05 hahaha xD
