Not sure if this is a series, but this is a great way for learners to understand openings. Please do the same for the other major openings. I've only seen the C6 videos, and perhaps you've already done others - I'll go check.
Glad that you’re finding it helpful. We’ve done many series just like this one, just check out the playlist tab in our channel homepage. Thanks for the support!
@@chessbrah Thanks, brah. I’ve never been confident with openings, and usually end up with a weaker position, with my pieces all blocking each other, then relying on blunders to claw it back. But your videos have made me feel more in control, and my win rate has shot up. I guess a lot of people struggle to counteract this positon. I’ve also been playing the same positon with white and it seems to be effective as well. Thanks buddy - you’re doing good stuff
The hanging black bishop on g4 on has bitten me a number of times. White plays some weird moves, tempting me to blunder the Qa4+ fork. I usually kill it with the Caro, but that's been a blind spot. Makes me feel a little better seeing Eric nearly meet the same fate.
I'm a 1200 and I fight tooth and nail to get a win against my 1200 peers, and Eric is absolutely destroying a 1200 and making it look obvious and easy.
That's a pretty common problem for a lot of players (myself included). They play a good game, but as soon as something goes wrong they rapidly collapse.
I'm learning the Caro, and I'm around a 1300 level player. I'm going to say, some of those 1200-1300 level players you're playing are much better than me. You said it yourself once how strong they are. And fast, so I assume they aren't cheating in this time control. Maybe a smurf/learning account? I could never hold my own that fast against you the way some of these 1200's did it.
I just started playing chess, and MAN, how does he spot everything SO FAST?!?!?! I need like FIVE MINUTES to spot the subtle moves & tricks, and this dude just sees EVERYTHING INSTANTLY... It's actually kind of disheartening lol...
Eric is so cute with his "is it checkmate? lets make sure..." when we all know he saw the mate 4 moves ago
As a Caro player this series has been incredibly helpful in flushing out the odd variants that people throw at me. Thanks Eric!
Love how Eric gets upset at 1300s for blundering lol like, literal GM playing someone like me who decided to play because i saw Queens Gambit.
It's so brilliant when Eric gets disappointed with his opponents when they sack their queens lol.
May this series never end.
Am I the only one looking at these, trying to recreate it and just making the most random blunders?
No
if you do blunders its bc you need to know the opening theory
it might have been that you are not a GM
@@aimanalias03 yeah probably, theres that small difference that he might have missed
Nope
This series is so instructive, thank you Eric!!
44:19 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
Dude, Eric fucking cracks me up, man lmao
44:05 the best part 🤣🤣 ngl i was thinking the same thing. And thats why im 1000 lol!

Really like this series Eric! Please keep making these videos!
Aye aye 🫡
Amazing content Eric , another level of playing , thank you !!

these help a ton. Its easy to just grind out games and eventually gain elo but to learn the fundamentals in a way, feels really nice.
These are awesome Eric. Thanks man
44:45 I'd probably resign respectfully before making my way to the shops to buy a new mouse after going for smothered mate
I'm a 1200 and I fight tooth and nail to get a win against my 1200 peers, and Eric is absolutely destroying a 1200 and making it look obvious and easy.
Not all of them--a few of those 1200's were extremely 'strong' for their elo and gave Eric a run for his rating.
@@Glowbox3Dwhy the apostrophe?
This series is so awesome, thanks Eric
Love it. It's like a treasure trove of example games
you make chess feel electric again
poor tom hack completely broke down there after a decent tal variation kick off oh dear oh dear
That's a pretty common problem for a lot of players (myself included). They play a good game, but as soon as something goes wrong they rapidly collapse.
Thank you very much ! This gives some spectacular games,, and even with white.

Being a 1250 I agree what u are saying....
I'm not 1400, I'm crazy. I changed that to 1300. That was literally a typo. my bad.@@stayinspired1271
Love the series; somehow I missed this one.
6:31
Instead of letting him get out of the fork with a capture, why not attack the queen with Nh4 first and then win a piece?
Saw that too. Think Eric just missed it. Maybe he is human
This is a completely different line since after Nh4 Qg4 there’s no fork.
These speed runs with Erin is wonderful keep it up ❤
44:22 I too thought of Qg1 LMAO
'Stop tickling me' - Eric 2023
24:17 what is the name or dj of that tune? Keep up the good work!
What if a take with the king and tell you to F off? That one will resonate with me when checking for smothered mates.
"The Hillbilly is not going to scare someone from Alberta" :)
Great series. I am watching due to this music as well. 16:07 what is this music?
Excellent classes!
If you get that white bishop out and know when to trade it, you will do well with this opening.

i learned a lot using the c6.Thanks
Thanks for the watching!
I swear my opponents don't play this bad
I love this series, im pushing to 1k with stonewall and carocann
Good serial gm.
Thanks
Man you missed the opportunity to say THE ROOOOOOOOK two times!
CAN i play this opening with White?
where are you Eriic? have not seen you online playong in ages?
44:13 LOL XDDD
I like the game at 11:43
PoojaFan69😂😂
Eric's one true love hahaha, I hope she's made it to GM by now.
Pisses me off how easy it looks
Jobava London next!
More parts!
At 44:05. What if I take here and tell you to F oops! 😅😅
I'm a fan of Pooja also.
43:35
10:55
Damn, he plays good! I don’t even think he is doing chessable courses! Lol
44:17 lmao
Why does nobody play the hillbilly gambit? I thought that is how it's meant to be done
32:00
nice caro grind
Floor the rook
3:16 Queen c7 won the queen
I play it for yrs...
why dont them chessers never assume flashbanging their viewers
Why when I'm playing on 800, I never see such moves from white? Is it only me? xD
why don't my opponents play like this against me...?
Bcuz you're not good and not making it difficult for them.
I like it
Comment for the algo
👍
Lol first
You’re using an engine while playing. Wow what a shame!!!
Watching 1300s and 1400s blunder games away like that was surreal - realizing that I'm somehow worse than that 🥲
