Another great video. I'm 62yrs.old and I remember so much of this. Thanks Rick for the nostalgia. Been following you since you were running Glastron boats. Keep the videos coming sir.
Amazing work Rick. You really are one of the best till This day the amount of work you put into your fishing career is incredible. Love hearing stories of you stealing fish to make a pond that’s more accessible and closer to you so you can fish better lol
I use a plug knocker type lure retriever. It is a coil on the end of a long telescopic pole. It paid for itself by the third trip with it. I have only lost 1 lure since I got it, it was a deep crank that was dug in good on some deep barge rope. The line popping/bow method works maybe 2/3 of the time, the rest are saved by either the plug knocker or getting close enough to bump the lure off with my rod tip. Plug knockers should come as standard equipment in bass boats.
i like your video on lunker lure buzzbaits at Rend lake in southern illinois…..i live 5 minutes from rend and fish it at least 2 to 3 times a week …dad started me there at 3 years old and im 53 now .!!!
Thanks again, Rick for this look back! In Ray Scott's article, he was announcing his ideas for the 1971 Classic, not 1972. At the Cordell Hull Tennessee Invitational B.A.S.S. tournament in July of 1976, you actually had not won a Bassmaster Classic yet. Also, you lost that event by 12, not 2 ounces. Take care, sir. @@rickclunn50 You had QUALIFIED for 2 Bassmaster Classics by July of 1976, when the Cordell Hull tournament was held, but your first Bassmaster Classic WIN came Nov. 5, 1976.
Video treasures. Rick you've givin me decades of enjoyment watching you fish, not to mention the vast amount of fishing knowledge. Thank you.
