Greetings from New England~Glad you like the vids. One of my buddies grew up fishing Lake of Ozarks. I learnt a few crankbait and buzzbait tricks from him. He dreams one day our local lakes will lose all the weed so he can fish his style like back on the Ozarks LOL Tight lines!!
i bought the entire super break blade lineup about 5-6 months ago and they're on another level. one of the things i noticed was how well it comes through cover. you can literally throw their qtr oz into a reed cluster and it won't get hung. i like rigging the 3/16 or qtr oz with their 3" rhythm grub. anyway, great video.
One other thing to prevent snags that isn't often mentioned is the type of trailer. Something like a Zako or Spunk Shad is quite pointed on the bottom. So they tip and fall over when they deflect on cover with traditional chatterbaits. Something with a wider, flat bottom like a creature bait largely prevents this. And that's another nice thing about the Jackall. Because of the "kick stands" on the bottom that prevent roll, you can go back to using things like the Zako in heavy cover without worry. Also, really great channel. The underwater footage when provided is particularly useful. Your detailed explanation WITH underwater video is about as good as it gets. More please!
Exactly, the Jackhammer due to the open hook design restricts trailer selection. I use Beaver, SpaceMonkey etc for going through woods but like you said, makes the overall profile big. Thanks for the support. Will do.
#1 is the bass puzzle grass piece. Grass and wood and rock. Basically anywhere and can be used like a buzz bait too. Ultra versatile and add any trailer type get it to do more. 🎉
@youtubzkoz It def wants to stay deeper, easier to keep in the 8 ft range on a steady retrieve. I also feel a little more confident fishing it on bottom since it's got a weed guard built in.
Queen's tackle "switchblades" on swim jigs with VERTICAL LINE TIE. Turn your swim jig into a chatterbait. But I noticed the jig that worked the best with the switchblade was a finesse football head jig with large switch blade
Great video, very good and detailed presentation, with perfect examples and comparisons! You skipped to point out one detail that makes this lure a gem, in combination with all the others you mentioned.
I have been asking zman for a hair or feather jig chatterbait for years. This is really close to what I was looking for. I am definitely going to order some.
@Bassniper Great video. I’m a Chatterbait fisherman and do not fish any other company’s versions. Biggest bass of my life was caught in the original Chatterbait. However, I like Jackal baits and the weed guards on top and bottom look like a great innovation. Will get some of these to try out! Thanks for sharing.
@@BassniperEng Follow-up question: do you still recommend the Madbull for this? I am very close to ordering one. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.
I've been throwing the Chatter bait a lot in cold cold water and had one of my best days this year ... I live the Grass piece ... fishes amazing in heavy cover
For Jackhammer I use 2 rods: Megabass 2014 Evoluzion Diablo F5.5-68Ti (for medium to close quarter applications) and Megabass 2017 Destroyer USA Javelin for distant or deep water applications (7-5 MH MF composite rod). I'm sure there are many other great options but I have been a fan of Megabass for over 16 years now. They are not only beautiful but also functional IMO. I'm not a big fan of using glass rods for chatter baits. I fish hard weed/grass a lot, glass rods give too much to jerk the chatter off of the weed, and when they do it creates a huge darting distance. I like the composite or graphites with high power, whose blank bottom kicks in much quicker. When you jerk the rod to pull chatter off the weed, a small quick wrist pump will do it, the chatter comes off with speed but short distance, this is when I found success in triggering those reaction bites. Hope this helps. If you are looking for a chatterbait rod, good luck! If you are interested in Megabass, P5 Blade (very similar to Evo Diablo) or MadBull are both great options.
what color the chatter bait and the color of trailer on video top and bottom lure please, I like to try used it on my home lake. your video looks good and great presentation!

1/8 OZ can be handled by medium powered spinning rods for bass, MF action preferred (no fast or extra fast). I throw 1/8 on the Megabass Baby Plugging and Flyssa.
I'm curious how those will work for the saltwater. They could be awesome for redfish and maybe flounder or trout. In FL they might be good for snook. I'd like to throw them around the marshes in the Chesapeake Bay area.
Let me know how it works! Might be too finesse for Snook and stuff in the mangroves -- the hooks are not designed for pulling giants I guess. Kanji is Han Character, which is Chinese, don't see any problem here. If you are referring to "simplified Chinese character简体字" -- I grew up reading books in the "traditional characters正體字" so have no problem switching back and forth, plus the pronunciation are essentially the same.
Got these 3 years ago mostly sit in my box they're great but still not better than a hammer that little weed guard just picks up more grass. Just my opinion.
The ones came out couple years ago were the Break Blade, which was not too much different from other weedless offerings. Break Blade is different from this one which is now named "Super" Break Blade. Different head design, different hook, no bottom wire guards etc.
Literally said "does not work well", not "does not work". Give it a try and you will know what I mean. Out fishes Jackhammer in water below 40 F 4:1, especially when need to do bottom hopping in weeds or close to woods.
