Hey Jerry, that was a very thorough and detailed review. I don’t know of anyone who is as meticulous in their description and measurements, providing great visual comparison with other similar lures. Great job! Greg
i bought the entire super break blade lineup about 5-6 months ago and they're on another level. one of the things i noticed was how well it comes through cover. you can literally throw their qtr oz into a reed cluster and it won't get hung. i like rigging the 3/16 or qtr oz with their 3" rhythm grub. anyway, great video.
Greetings from New England~Glad you like the vids. One of my buddies grew up fishing Lake of Ozarks. I learnt a few crankbait and buzzbait tricks from him. He dreams one day our local lakes will lose all the weed so he can fish his style like back on the Ozarks LOL Tight lines!!
Nice to hear your opinion, from a guy that is a designer of R&D is something. I like very much tu hear the way you speek, i am a mold designer and also a fisherman and an inventor. Not the same as you but close. Again, very cool to hear from you. Cheers
One other thing to prevent snags that isn't often mentioned is the type of trailer. Something like a Zako or Spunk Shad is quite pointed on the bottom. So they tip and fall over when they deflect on cover with traditional chatterbaits. Something with a wider, flat bottom like a creature bait largely prevents this. And that's another nice thing about the Jackall. Because of the "kick stands" on the bottom that prevent roll, you can go back to using things like the Zako in heavy cover without worry. Also, really great channel. The underwater footage when provided is particularly useful. Your detailed explanation WITH underwater video is about as good as it gets. More please!
Exactly, the Jackhammer due to the open hook design restricts trailer selection. I use Beaver, SpaceMonkey etc for going through woods but like you said, makes the overall profile big. Thanks for the support. Will do.
Great video, very good and detailed presentation, with perfect examples and comparisons! You skipped to point out one detail that makes this lure a gem, in combination with all the others you mentioned.
#1 is the bass puzzle grass piece. Grass and wood and rock. Basically anywhere and can be used like a buzz bait too. Ultra versatile and add any trailer type get it to do more. 🎉
Queen's tackle "switchblades" on swim jigs with VERTICAL LINE TIE. Turn your swim jig into a chatterbait. But I noticed the jig that worked the best with the switchblade was a finesse football head jig with large switch blade
I've been throwing the Chatter bait a lot in cold cold water and had one of my best days this year ... I live the Grass piece ... fishes amazing in heavy cover
For Jackhammer I use 2 rods: Megabass 2014 Evoluzion Diablo F5.5-68Ti (for medium to close quarter applications) and Megabass 2017 Destroyer USA Javelin for distant or deep water applications (7-5 MH MF composite rod). I'm sure there are many other great options but I have been a fan of Megabass for over 16 years now. They are not only beautiful but also functional IMO. I'm not a big fan of using glass rods for chatter baits. I fish hard weed/grass a lot, glass rods give too much to jerk the chatter off of the weed, and when they do it creates a huge darting distance. I like the composite or graphites with high power, whose blank bottom kicks in much quicker. When you jerk the rod to pull chatter off the weed, a small quick wrist pump will do it, the chatter comes off with speed but short distance, this is when I found success in triggering those reaction bites. Hope this helps. If you are looking for a chatterbait rod, good luck! If you are interested in Megabass, P5 Blade (very similar to Evo Diablo) or MadBull are both great options.
Yes that is a spinnierbaitXchatterbait cross over. I have not fished it yet. The Super Break Blade IMO is the most weedless chatter bait ever -- you can let it sit in the middle of the weedbed and drag like a jig and still not get snagged, while still have very good hook up ratio.
It's a 26$ lure here in sweden and just come in two colors in the local shop but I probebly will pick up atleast one but wont put it into the water without a foot of 0.6fc leader to secure it from pike. My favorit bladed-jig is the eye-chatter and that's a 7$ lure. :P Just found you channel but i will sub and stick around great, detail info. :)
I have been asking zman for a hair or feather jig chatterbait for years. This is really close to what I was looking for. I am definitely going to order some.

wire guards on top and bottom of the head, plus a much smaller profile (smaller blades, smaller hooks. Wire guard material is different from that used in Cross-eye wire. Way bouncy.
I thought I recognized your accent. I checked your other Channel out. why do you use Kanji writing in the title in your non English Channel when it's all in mandarin?
Kanji is Han Character, which is Chinese, don't see any problem here. If you are referring to "simplified Chinese character简体字" -- I grew up reading books in the "traditional characters正體字" so have no problem switching back and forth, plus the pronunciation are essentially the same.
Got these 3 years ago mostly sit in my box they're great but still not better than a hammer that little weed guard just picks up more grass. Just my opinion.
The ones came out couple years ago were the Break Blade, which was not too much different from other weedless offerings. Break Blade is different from this one which is now named "Super" Break Blade. Different head design, different hook, no bottom wire guards etc.
Literally said "does not work well", not "does not work". Give it a try and you will know what I mean. Out fishes Jackhammer in water below 40 F 4:1, especially when need to do bottom hopping in weeds or close to woods.
I know it's not your fault -- if I had never used it, I might thought this video to be an ad as well LOL And yup, those big glasses definitely reduce eye fatigue after writing and reading my own script for hours -- can't tell you the brand though coz otherwise you calling me running ad for glasses......

How does this compare to the Z-man Crosseyes? Both have the wire weed guard. 🤔
Cross eye's hooks are way bigger, also does not have the bottom wire guard. This one is more finesse oriented.
Great detail as always. I will try it. Have you tried the Dstyle Dα-Blade Jig. It has a normal weedguard and a unique wire guard. Thanks
Not the unique wire model yet but on my list.
Giving away my secrets! Chatterbaits through timber lay downs… crawling and ripping them off the bottom. Got me some big bass that way.
LOL fancy to meet some Jackall fans here~
Very informative! If u havent seen already u should take a look at the Gras Piece from Basspuzzle. Also a good weedless chatterbait

Just found you channel wondering where can I order some ? Thx
try digitaka, they still have some. Asian portal as well.
If you want something to fish in and around structure, give the grass piece flex a try. It blew my mind.
The grass piece give you the a shimmy fall with a trailer like osp stick. For me, that is unique
My p.b. for northern pike it was 1,24 cm and i use for capture it a Zebco chatterbait
With the wires on top and bottom, will this make the bait skipless under tight cover?
skips like a charm as long as the trailer is right. I roll cast a lot and frequently have unwanted skipping if I had the trajectory on the lower side.

I have yet to catch one on these yet, other species that fell for it including pike, pickerel and crappie (big ones) so far.

LOL loyalty showing here:-) Still love the Z-man and JHs.
Everyone knows that the term “chatterbait” is just an OG term for a bladed jig. Don’t bust chops over something that 99% of anglers do lol
