What's the highest power / torque you guys have done?
are you lifting off the throttle / ending the run at peak torque? it’s unusual that your peak torque and hp are at the exact same rpm on three out of 4 of the pulls on your screenshot of the dyno results.
I know that the engine is a masterpiece, but getting rid of "dieselness", low down torque, confuses me
You need to get a om642 engine.. my Mercedes R350 has 265hp an 620nm standard 🤔😏

What's with all the black smoke? Just not burning the fuel?
Thats diesel power! Its pumping in loads of fuel but can't properly burn it because of lack of air. Because the turbo is still spooling. Once it has enough boost it will barely smoke at all.
what do you get for fuel economy driving normally?

Can you also build an pump capable of 400hp on a om602 or 603? Because on the om605 i'm not able to get an historical certificate in germany. the engine must be able to be daily driven.
Should i rebuild the whole engine or would it be enougth if i'm putting in an om602 250td out of a w201?
400hp on a 603 is no problem but the rods are no good past 350hp

zkljaja the om606 is more like a petrol engine anyway. They never had much torque down low, due to short stroke and 4 valve per cylinder design. But they rev well over 6k.
