I just hit endgame with two or three builds that I managed to found online but this guide is nice, comprehensive and make creating your own build approchable ! Cheers !
Really nice seeing a realistic armor video. Especially love the little shout out to Stun Resistance, if t wasn't for my Stun Resistance Charm I probably would've dropped the game as a newbie cause it feels insanely tilting to be forced to watch yourself die with absolutely nothing you can do about it. 'Git gud' is obviously the optimal solution to every problem, but people forget that if a newbie isn't enjoying themselves then they'll never bother.
I love so much that you not only recommend defensive skills, but are even willing to drop some damage to fit them in, in a budget endgame (or pre-endgame) set. So many people trivialise how difficult this game is without certain defensive bonuses, and I see builds all the time lacking stun res and sometimes even health boost. I honestly have no idea how people play without both of those permanently. Recently I have discovered how much of a QOL improvement EW is (5 ideally but 3 can work) as personally I find the default s on roll to be simply too few, and try as I might, rolling through all but the quickest attacks nigh impossible.
Same, I always run speed eating 3 on every build for instance. It’s saved my ass so many times. Sun 3 is also a staple. I’m always happy to drop crit eye a little because I’m deco poor to slot things like marathon runner and stamina surge as a DB main those are more important for me to sustain dps rather than just crit and have to break off I’d rather stay in demon mode more than crit all the time.
Dude, keep the videos coming! I'm already 200h in MHW and I've been enjoying every single minute. I'm still on the early stages of Iceborne because I have taken my time to enjoy and understand the game, playing at my own pace with my friend. Guys, dont rush it, enjoy the game, everything eventually will click but until then just keep getting better at it. MH it's an amazing franchise.
Your video is nice in globality, I have just one point is when you mentionned switch axe at 4:50. There is one skill which increase swtich axe's dps capacity, power prolonger, this skill increase the time when the phial is active when its charged. Thx again for this video you made a great job, beginners need mode guide like this
people blast through low/high rank with defender gear, but imo this content is the best for non veteran MH player and you paid for it so don't skip it!
Finally a video that doesnt just say "wear the full Fatalis set" yeah no shit the final boss of the game is gonna have the best gear, how about you give an option for someone a little earlier into progression??? Like goodness 😂
I find it so odd that I never changed my armor throughout my play-through, and so far I’ve gotten to fight those ancient dragon things. I guess the game is just very easy if you use the great sword.
@@Godyeater Are you using the Guardian armor set and the Defender Great Sword? Those were designed to be better than almost all low and high rank gear and help you skip the base game and get to the DLC faster. If you want an experience closer to what it was like on launch, try using armor and weapons you crafted yourself. This guide is for Master Rank gear, where Guardian and Defender gear fall off and you will need to craft new gear to progress.
booking for when i get to m rank, the longsword guide helped me get better, yet i can never land foresight on the roar. what other weapons do you enjoy using? ive only used longsword so far and am looking for a second weapon to pick up in hi rank, open to all playstyles
Glad the LS guide was helpful! I also enjoy Lance and Hunting Horn. Lance lets you stand in front of a monster and never stop attacking, and Hunting Horn lets you walk around and land big hits without worrying too much about long combo chains. When I want to gauge my interest in a weapon, I will watch a speedrun and ask myself "does this look fun to play?" Some speedruns are very optimized and dull (HBG, cough) and are not very representative of what normal play might look like, but most of the time they give you a good idea of what you might be doing when you hit peak performance!
Crit skills, something to manage your sharpness, and whatever else you want. You can actually run the sets I showcased in the video. You don't need anything in particular, but Power Prolonger is popular on endgame Insect Glaive. I didn't list it because it's not a "must have" throughout most of the game like Focus on Great Sword, etc.
@@Alan-fx3jx I'll be making a Fatalis guide and I'm considering guides for Rajang, Barioth, and Shara. Are guides for specific monsters something you would would find helpful or are you more interested in general "how to hunt a tough monster" content?
People have written small essays on this topic and it can depend on the situation. Most people would recommend prioritizing Health Boost since it is mathematically a higher boost to effective HP. If I had to pick, I'd prefer Health Boost for the consistency, but Divine Blessing is still a good skill. I run Divine Blessing 5 on my endgame set.
@@inigomontoya6968 Lance really wants Guard and Offensive Guard in addition to the skills I covered. You can run the poverty set and Teo/Brachy set with some decorations, but the Narga set probably does not have enough room for the Guard skills. Here is an example of the Teo/Brachy set for Lance. imgur.com/a/post-raging-brachy-kulve-taroth-lance-set-compilation-TrvUiBK

All my SnS builds have EW maxed. Love me some fancy back steps…(still fail half the time)

Nearly did a spit take when you mentioned being on 100 subs - this content deserves 10x that. Keep it up!

Really thought out guide. This vid def deserves more attention in the MH community, esp newcomers.
Not sure how you don’t have more subscribers. Fantastic video !

yeah i intentionally didn't use the defender gear. It felt really lame. idk how good of a decision it is to recommend that to new players.
More weapon combo guides will be coming in the future! In the meantime, I made this video to sharpen up my audio mixing and editing skills.
Looks slick! Definitely a super helpful overview. 🙏
Cool guide, Pike! Keep it up 🫡
nice video sir! waiting for long sword guide video 🤘

hey man, this is a good guide as I only started my world playthrough, will be saving this vid for later purposes. Do you also do guides for rise?
@@denshokark Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I won't be doing any guides for Rise since Wilds is so close.

Another content creator recommend Fatalis endgame build,
This guy make build set with you styles
thanks pike, still dont get what skills i should take for glaive tho.

Me who already has multiple endgame builds: watches entire video 😌😅
GS guide when?
Do you know any good set builder websites for nowadays since honeyhunter got taken down a while ago
I've used this one before: neftalimich.github.io/mhworld-builder/
Clean design with no adds.
Hi Pike. I am a beginner to Monster Hunter World. Would you mind if you can make some beginner guide? Thanks.
@@Alan-fx3jx I don't have any plans for that right now, but do you have any suggestions on what type of guides would be helpful?
@Pike_Analysis like how to defeat high rank monsters guide ?

The 5 of us Lance main's would like to know if this set is still applicable for the likes of us?
