I once got stuck with mobile gaming for three months when I accidentally tripped on my laptop's cable. Worst period of my life. And it's coming from a guy who lived in the Russian slums, was committed to a mad house for long periods of time, and spent at least one month in an army jail's solitary. I still don't know for sure for how long I've been there, times seizes to matter fast. Anyway, fuck mobile gaming, it's the worst.
Mobile gaming isn't the worst. The worst is not owning the games you bought and having to be online to play them. And forcefully updating your device/ game version almost every day.
Even though I adore practically all of your 'season 1' videos, I was just wondering the other day if you would ever go back and 'update' old reviews you've done so to speak. For example, I love your SOMA review already, but I would have loved to have heard your extended thoughts on it's later scenes and ending. Your videos are great as is, but I do prefer your current format if you get me. Anyways, another great vid and keep up the good work.
While it's always fun to see depictions of Romanian history or Romanian characters in a video game, in particular because this tends to be rare, they almost inevitably include stereotypes and sometimes quite significant inaccuracies. I haven't played this game, but I can at least confirm that the Iron Guard would not have been a thing at the time portrayed in this game. Also Vlad Țepeș aka Vlad the Impaler aka Vlad Drăculea, while born in Transylvania, never ruled there. In fact he was Voivode of Wallachia three times, which is to the south of Transylvania and on the other side of the Carpathians. That's where he also died. Of course, we can thank Bram Stoker for this inaccuracy that will forever be part of pop culture. Finally I also get a kick out of the Romanian names that seem to be close to actual Romanian names, but don't quite get there due to weird or inaccurate spelling. A lot of games seem to either westernise or slavicise Romanian names for no reason (I guess other than general ignorance).
Guess i’m not gonna go to bed. maybe i just won’t go at all. maybe i will stray up for a few weeks, and see if the shadow people start gang stalking me again.
