Cool vid man, i will definitley agree about the ranger '' missing something in their kit '' and i would also disagree with the marks being beneficial, they are great for 6 seconds but with a 1 minute CD and them being Single target i think they really fall short, also ranger mobility feels a bit scuffed atm with as you mentioned every class having 1-3 gap closers, blink/charge go 2-3x as far as disengage for example
i would also not count roots/snare as a hard CC, in my opinion hard CC is a full loss of control of your character, a stun or a trip, but you can still heal, attack etc in a root, Although vinefield is a great ability. other htan that you made some great points! hopefully we see a ranger tune soon :)

I kinda like that the fighter excels better than ranger. As Fighter you have a lot more punishment. Being in melee, positioning, sticking with your target so much more room for error but can pump if they're good. Rangers damage is so much more forgiving just because it's ranged

They need to reduce everyone's range, some of the distances on various gap closers feels overtuned (I'm only watching though, not playing atm).
Ranger needs a clear advantage here at a minimum.
Personally though I'd prefer some high risk / high reward close range abilities

Which one would you recommend is better for PVP/Guild fights?

Im a ranger player and I do think our single target damage is decent but so much of our kit is taken up with imbue arrows, marks, and hunts, and you can’t have multiple in any of those categories. We are funnelled into one build with basically no freedom to deviate and even that rotation feels weird with your opener(snipe) being one of the only ways to proc hemorage after bleed. Not to mention other classes like mage getting elemental procs for free on their auto attacks based on their last ability while ranger has to spend points to get imbued arrows.

You bring up a great point about the imbue ammo abilities. They do take up talent points but don’t really feel impactful enough to justify the investment, especially when compared to other classes, like Mages, who get elemental procs for free on their basic attacks just by casting abilities.
And you’re right-Snipe feels like the only reliable way to proc Hemorrhage after applying Bleed, which makes the rotation feel a bit awkward. It seems like they’re designing Rangers to be heavily group-dependent, especially when you consider how their Marks work.
For instance, Mark of the Raven and Mark of the Bear both stack when multiple Rangers are in the same group. This means you could stack Mark of the Bear with other Rangers to reduce a target's armor to almost nothing, or double up on Mark of the Raven to amplify damage even more. The problem is, outside of these synergies, the Ranger’s power ceiling feels capped compared to more self-sufficient classes.

I use vine field to proc hemorrhaging. Especially in group fights where you don't need the actual root

While on paper both vine field and snipe can be used to proc hemorrhage the reality is snipe is better used as an opener and vine field is better used for the cc. Both can proc hemorrhage but you don’t want to delay actions especially in pvp for hemorage which is comparatively weak.

If the ranger had no penalty to movement when attacking it would feel better to play in my opinion

100% agree. The ranger should feel more floaty like a wow hunter.

i didn't want to add the mage cause i personally haven't played it. and it wouldn't be fair to give my thoughts on it. I've gotten the fighter and ranger up to 23.
