It's quite the opposite. I've seen tons of arguments from Ex-Muslims already. To be honest, all of them were trash and could easily be refuted if they actually study and contemplate. Most of them left because of emotional reasons, and some are logical but flawed. They left because of they are fed by the western standards, and they deem their standard to be their god. I've even doubted Islam once. It took me prolly 2 months of dispute, research, then dispute again, then research. Bekhan I could argue your comment only serves to make you feel better - a self-pandering animalistic desire typical of many religious people. To be atheist is sometimes to be free to define your own level of morality. That might seem scary in our big bad world but actually it works surprisingly well. Have a think about the humans who wrote these religious scriptures, they helped light a path for other humans to help them understand why certain moral structures are necessary for survival, and they have helped people for thousands of years. In today’s age not everyone requires those texts in order to live free from disease, excess instantly gratifying sensory pleasure, wastefulness, greed and wasted emotion, etc. At the risk of sounding pompous; I give my time and money to the needy, I do not harm creatures weaker than me unless I intend on eating them, I was married young and do not intend on ever having another partner, I work hard and honestly for the sake of my honour and to help my company, the community and the country. I do not need any of the gods in order to do what I believe is just, and my definition of that comes from a very many sources combined with my understanding of them through scientifically processing their teachings; logical analysis, benchmarking and application. Believe in whatever you want, just don’t push it on others. I’ve been an atheist since I was 17, I’m now 34. @Ca11MeZed Have you been living under a fucking rock throughout the first half of the video where Drew specifically mentions people dying because of apostasy and there being apostasy laws in Islamic states. You're probably in a western country.
The real reason why some people can't fathom that you have no faith is because to them faith is their social security. People belonging to a community help and protect each other. This is also the reason why it can be hard for parents to hear. Faith is never about what you really believe philosophically - not really - it's all about whether you're willing to play the part so that others will protect you when necessary as you would protect them.
Ca11MeZed people who discover their spines generally reject tyranny. The more powerful the tyrant, the less tyrannical that tyrant needs to be, unless it’s “Him”. It’s an odd idiosyncratic insecurity, you have to admit. Idiosyncratic to the point of being just like a human tyrant.

Who used to implement rules on slaves what is known as "Quran" Kafirs - the captured people who doesn't accept slavery(islam) Murtadd - those who try to escape from slavery or fail to obey the order(according to Quran(the slave rule book)). Pagans - the idol worshipping tribes. Halal - Rules and practices limited/allowed by their masters to Slaves and to Captured slaves(Tribal people who used to eat pig and dead animals by giving sacrifice to stone god). Ghilman - Slave soldiers used to attack other tribes and culture . Concubine - a slave-woman with whom her master/manager engaged in sexual relations. Hoors - Sex slaves. Jizya - the tax to pay the slave master if the pagan(native tribes) don't want to become slaves and Practice their kind of stone worship. Jihad - Creating Fear in Tribes by killing and creating chaos. Sharia - low of punishment for slaves. Islam spread through violence and slavery is the evidence. Why would they kill me? I heard the Messenger of Allah say: “It is not lawful to shed the blood of a Muslim except in one of three (cases): a man who commits adultery when he is a married person, then he should be stoned; a man who kills a soul not in retaliation for murder; and a man who apostatizes after becoming Muslim.' By Allah (SWT), I never committed adultery either during Ignorance days nor in Islam, and I have never killed a Muslim soul, and I have not apostatized since I became Muslim.” (Sahih) Sunan Ibn Majah 3:20:2533 It was narrated from 'Abdullah, who is Ibn Mas`ud, that the Messenger of Allah said: “It is not lawful to shed the blood of a Muslim who bears witness that none has the right to be worshiped but Allah (SWT), and that I am the Messenger of Allah, except in one of three cases: a soul for a soul; a married person who commits adultery, and one who leaves his religion and splits from the Jama`ah.” (Sahih) Sunan Ibn Majah 3:20:2534 It was narrated from Ibn`Abbas that the Messenger of Allah said: “Whoever changes his religion, execute him.” (Sahih) Sunan Ibn Majah 3:20:2535 Abu Dawud Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal: AbuMusa said: Mu'adh came to me when I was in the Yemen. A man who was Jew embraced Islam and then retreated from Islam. When Mu'adh came, he said: I will not come down from my mount until he is killed. He was then killed. One of them said: He was asked to repent before that. Sunan Abu Dawud 38: Hanafi - recommends three days of imprisonment before execution, although the delay before killing the Muslim apostate is not mandatory. Apostates who are men must be killed, states the Hanafi Sunni fiqh, while women must be held in solitary confinement and beaten every three days till they repent and return to Islam. Penalty for Apostasy limited for those who cause Hirabah after leaving Islam, not for personal religion change. Maliki - allows up to ten days for recantation, after which the apostate must be killed. Both men and women apostates deserve death penalty according to the traditional view of Sunni Maliki fiqh. Shafi'i - waiting period of three days is required to allow the Muslim apostate to repent and return to Islam. After the wait, execution is the traditional recommended punishment for both men and women apostates. Hanbali - waiting period not necessary, but may be granted. Execution is traditional recommended punishment for both genders of Muslim apostates

I left Islam in 2001. For me, the most dismaying thing I've had to deal with since then are segments of progressives/liberals/the left etc. in the Western world. Not all of them - thank god - but a big chunk. It honestly reminds me of The Upside Down - the alternate dimension existing in parallel to the human world - that is depicted in the Netflix show Stranger Things. So many of these people who champion the separation of religion and state, gender equality and gay rights are not only silent about the horrific, almost medieval, treatment of women, gay people and ex-Muslims in Islam and the Muslim world, they attack you for criticising or even questioning Islam. I've been told I'm a racist! Honestly, one doesn't know where to start with such an attack. 'Um, yeah, so not only is Islam not a race/ethnicity, I'm an Arab, so, who exactly am I racist against again?' Blacks, whites etc., who are on the left and/or who call themselves 'progressive' are the actual racists (and bah-sic AF). Their worldview can be summed up as follows: white, Christian, jew (powerful, bad) v black or other-non-white, Muslim (victim, good).

I know this is dumb but when I was Muslim and only saw videos about Christianity, I thought to myself " of course my religion isn't wrong that's why no one is speaking up against it. People who learn about it probably convert". It is SO important to speak up about Islam as well. I know some people say they aren't that different from each other in regards to being proven wrong but I needed it when I was looking for answers. Idk if I'm making any sense but thanks a million Drew.
Then I hope you recognise the importance of conveying that message. In the west, speaking out against islam is often equated with being anti-muslim and right wing extremist (just look at sam harris) So you are in a situation where you can not only tell your own story with more insight than life long atheists or former Christians, it's also much harder to silence you. Please use that to educate others.
Brovahkiin it’s not that easy, It’s very dangerous. A lot of people had been killed and tortured for speaking up. You need to be in a guarantee safe zone away from a Muslim country and Muslims themselves.
adir J. I had Muslim teachers come round to convert people every year in primary school. I still didn’t see why their beliefs, however beautiful, were any less ludicrous than the Christian Faith I’d been brought up to believe in.
You make perfect sense. Muslims are in a deep deep slumber and they need to be woken up. I'm a Christian and many people tell me it's a waste of time to show the Muslims their misconception about.... Everything and anything. Not just Bible (you know, they can't even read it for themselves, they can only copy paste chopped up Bible verses) but also e.g. science. Yes I'm also a scientist in the natural field.... Most of the time it does seem to be a waste of time, but maybe, just maybe every now and then there is a Muslim actually asking himself if what he believes is true or not. And in that time period he will seek out answers from other sources. And at this time we must provide then with the right and true answer.
I am an ex-muslim but I gotta say I was a bit more lucky than these brave souls that came out in the video or in the comments because I'm living in Turkey, a secular country with a majority muslim population. I am forever thankful to my country's founder, Atatürk, which turned the theocratic monarchy which was the ottoman empire into the modern Turkey that is a secular republic which is a HUGE accomplishment. ISLAM - contract of Slavery created by Arab slave traders.(the oath been taken as confirmation when new slave has been added)
Muslim - Are the Slave.
Allah - The Arab Slaves master Is Allah ( slaves used to call them Allah(lord) because of fear of punishment and death). The slave master could be Christianity origin(jibril/Gabriel also a messenger in relation with Muhammad). Historically the Slave Owners the one who wanted their slaves to call them Lord(meaning God)
The Messenger - (slave masters never used to visit slaves directly) is the Broker or Manager of the Slaves. Who used to implement rules on slaves what is known as "Quran"
Kafirs - the captured people who doesn't accept slavery(islam)
Murtadd - those who try to escape from slavery or fail to obey the order(according to Quran(the slave rule book)).
(read Hadith and connect it with Quran with deep understanding)

I could argue your comment only serves to make you feel better - a self-pandering animalistic desire typical of many religious people.
I don’t have all the answers, but my greatest hero Marcus Aurelius gives me great hope in human kind, even though he of course had his polytheistic beliefs as all did in his time.
All the best.

@May Ms as an Iraqi ex-Muslim myself this hits home. It is realy messed up in Iraq.
I’m an ex-Muslim, the main issue to me is that they can’t fathom the fact that I have an issue with the idea of religion in the first place, and I’m not interested in any good side of any religion, I just believe that our moral values and ethics have overcome any religion that could have played that role centuries ago. Believe in whatever you want, just don’t push it on others. I’ve been an atheist since I was 17, I’m now 34. And I would rather tell my parents that I have joined ISIS than I have left their religion of peace!
On what basis you claim that?

In reality Today's Muslims are Descendants of Slaves used as Disposable Army and for prostitution back in 1400 years. These slaves carried this slave(Islam) culture along with them wherever the went for loot and attack. And imposed that slave Culture on the Native people they captured and made them their Slaves.
(read Hadith and connect it with Quran with deep understanding)
It becomes religion due to politics and Ignorance.
Today the manager are in the form of Moulvies/Scholars. The follovers are brainless puppet Muslims 90% are ignorant because they didn'tread and Understood it by themselves using original text.what a tragedy.
Islam is the Biggest fraud happened to their followers for centuries without realization.
Leaving Islam is the righteous path which will lead them out of 1400 year long slavery.

But then again, leaving islam is probably something you would need to keep very hidden, so maybe there are more around than I think.
@حرقت امي I only told it to like 5 people so far.Two are my parents (who don't take me seriously, they think that i'll obviously come back to islam), two are friends (and this turned out to be a little bit of a mistake😅), and an ukrainian acquitance who is atheist anyway.By the way, I am 21 years old (so a baby apparently)and I've bee an atheist for like 2 years. I’m an atheist but my family is mixed with all religions and I can say Muslims and Christians are the worst religions by far.
As an ex Muslim who has forcibly gone through 12 years of Islamic education I support this message👍
Every ex Muslim I met was what every Muslim says they are. Humble and peaceful

Same to me here in Greece. I suppose you are turkish? You see even today religions tend people to hate each other! It outrages me to see Atheists getting threats! I hope you be safe from these brainwashed people. Muslims blame West for imperialism, which some countries practice it (usa) and i dont agree with that, but in europe at least there are not threats if you are Atheist or lgbt! Even in Greece which unfortunately is not secural its ok if you express your opinion of atheism!

In the west, speaking out against islam is often equated with being anti-muslim and right wing extremist (just look at sam harris)
So you are in a situation where you can not only tell your own story with more insight than life long atheists or former Christians, it's also much harder to silence you.
Please use that to educate others.
Brovahkiin it’s not that easy, It’s very dangerous. A lot of people had been killed and tortured for speaking up.
You need to be in a guarantee safe zone away from a Muslim country and Muslims themselves.

I still didn't come out to my family but all of my friends in school know that I am an atheist and I don't get any legal issues about it which is insane to many of my fellow ex-muslims. I am forever thankful to my country's founder, Atatürk, which turned the theocratic monarchy which was the ottoman empire into the modern Turkey that is a secular republic which is a HUGE accomplishment. Of course we have our fair share of religious groups trying to oppress the non-muslims, namely the current government and also religious groups that want to bring the sharia law here but they are mostly unefficient. I hope all these islamic countries can have their own revolution someday and set themselves free from the chains of the oppressive laws of sharia. And I wish the best for all the ex-muslims that saw the flaws of this religion and that are on their way to become better versions of themselves.
I'm also something of an exmuslim ( I'm considering agnosticism as my position atm)

@@chadkat1364 I left islam pretty recently as well and I still feel pretty anxious and scared on a daily basis. But I'd say it doesn't really feel all that bad now compared to when I first left Islam. It surely makes you feel better to dig deeper and find more flaws and be proud of yourself that you managed to achieve something like this. In terms of Christianity, this is not what Jesus Christ taught his followers. So, clearly your grandmother acted terribly.
If you were a Muslim and we're forced to love Muhammad ... Well this would be a completely different story.....
That's so messed up. Parents of religions excuse the abuse and it's highly encouraged. I was hit as young as a 2 year old because I couldn't stay still at church.
