A lot of people say the fuel cells exploding when damaged creates plot holes from the first two movies. I say no. The first two were T-800s designed by Cyberdyne. This is a T-850 designed by CRS.
I don't know if i must have missed something, because all this time i have thought Skynet created T-800 series and not Cyberdyne or CRS, Man may have designed early prototypes and units such as T-1 and (if i recall) the other lesser mentioned T-70 and T-100, After Judgment Day Skynet proceeded developing more and advanced units from T-400 up until T-800's, we could entertain the thought with expanded Terminator lore that perhaps Skynet upgraded each version of 800 series with new feature to make it more formidable to it's enemies (in this case the fuel cell that could turn damaged unit into a walking time bomb).
@@RedheadMetalCBoth Kyle Reese in the first movie and Arnie in the second one call the ArnieBot a Cyberdyne Systems Model 101. T-800 is the series and the model numbers are variants, probably with different looking flesh.
Yes it is new model a T-850 so it is powered differently. Also time travel changes things subtly. 800 series’ may use these also or they were working on the 850 series as you see these fuel cells in Salvation.
The main difference is, that the T-800 from the first two movies had different power cells, the first T-800 used an Iridium Power cell, not this highly dangerous hydrogen stuff.
Imagine in Future war, any destroyed T-850 unit on combat field could potentially turn into mini nuke and if you get real shitty luck, one unstable unit causes chain reaction to nearby shot terminators that holds same fuel cell causing more explosions.
I don't thinks that'll work. This was just a 1 in 100 thing probably. In terminator 1 he got scuished and didn't explode, in terminator 2 he got dropped in lava and there was no explosion. Maybe 1 would explode but I doubth he'd create a chain reaction
@@Raizmorph if original t-800 has same cell, theoretically speaking; it would mean it needs to become unstable first like a volatile cocktail, but all this is established in T3 at least, before that we didnt know enough of how Terminator's Battery works. You can squash a dynamite but does not blow up unless you ignite it with fire, the molten metal begs a question why it does not then cause any explosion in T-800 unit, unless its 850 specifically.

The problem with that statement is that Terminators don't run on Lithium batteries--it's a plasma-powered fuel cell that lasts 120 years on a single charge. That said, EV batteries that go up in flames are very destructive.
you do realize an rtx 4090 or an RX 7900 xtx can run Skynet easily with their ai power as they have at least 60 teraflops of ai power in them if not more🤣🤣
Theorizing/Speculating that this hydrogen fuel cell was made with the intention of keeping a t-850 operating for at least 120-125 years, the minimum amount of hydrogen compacted in that comb would be 5,209 kg and if it exploded due to its instability, the explosion would be catastrophic, being 10 times greater than the explosion of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, so I think the car, the desert and even the mountains would unfold due to this explosion.
I’m no super advanced android from the future designed to blend in and infiltrate but maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to take a bunch of stuff without paying and than let an unwilling captive out long enough to cause a scene.
This is 03, Edward furlong still looked like himself back then. He could’ve easily played John Conner and the feel of movie would’ve increased 10folds. Arnold was the only good thing about rise of the machines.
Arnold was why the movie was so disjointed with goofy out of place humor. He was running for Governor that year and one of the many ridiculous clauses in his contract was to have creative control over his character. I love Arnie as much as anyone but his involvement in any Terminator post T2 was one of the main reasons why movies like this, Genesys and Dark Fate bombed.
It was unlikely to assume nobody would pick up that research again. Dyson probably wasn't the only one working on it and even if the data and the remains of the original Terminator were destroyed the other people could get together and bring in pieces they remembered. The destruction of Cyberdyne would slow the development of Skynet down, but it was never going to completely stop it, you'd have to purge the interest in the concept to truly stop it.
T2 conclusion split into three different timeline continuties: 1. the events of T3 2. The events of chronicles of sarah connor 3. Dark Fate which is said to be the *real* sequel to the judgement day
@@finlandguy427I thought that Sarah Connor Chronicles was T2.5? Bc it talked about her getting radiation poisoning when they engaged that one Terminator in the nuclear plant.

Watching this clip made me realize something. The tv at the gas station couldn't get reception. I wonder if the power cell going off disrupted tv broadcasts. Still doesn't explain why the explosion didn't stop the pickup from working though.
The casting in this movie was awful. Nick Stahl couldn't have been worse as John Connor. He wasn't well known, he didn't bring the same confidence to the role as Edward Furlong did, he came off as low energy and whiny, and he didn't resemble the image of John Connor from T2 at all. John conner was a kid when he thought they stopped judgment day. After that, he was just a kid with no discernable talents and no real way to get ahead in life. He turned into a regular guy with a mediocre life. Pretty common for people in his position. I think his character was done fine.
I don't know. It was no T2 but this was the last one that made any sense and was remotely enjoyable. Would have been an OK conclusion but they couldn't leave the IP alone.

The casting and overall writing in this movie is beyond goofy.
